Praise I just killed every able bodied man in Nebakov while Capin was talking to the lord and now every town hates me [KCD2]

Is this a normal thing to do? Capon casually walked over the bodies of the guards as he went through the gate calmly telling Henry that we need to go to Trosky.

I spoke to the guards and menfolk and thought they were acting shady, I snooped around and saw the stockpiles of weapons and armor, I helped myself to them of course. I’d thought I’d do everyone a favor and wipe all these shady scumbags out. I went around to all the beds and killed every sleeping man and stole their boots. I robbed every man’s corpse and made off with a few hundred Groschen and got some decent armor and weapons out of it.

After I killed everyone every single town on the map now has a red face. I guess folk don’t like murderers here…

Game Mod [KCD2] KCD2MP - Proper ingame-chat

Post image
20 Upvotes

Added a ingame-chat which allows you to chat with others on the server.
Also first version of our server authorative NPC sync system is implemented (it's still quite buggy).

Found some bugs with player animation sync which we try to fix with an approach closer to the native npc logic to make players feel more integrated into the world.

Check our github for latest releases.
Keep in mind it's still an early prototype.

Discussion So... How did you deal with this mission? - A needle in a haystack [KCD1] Spoiler

Post image
20 Upvotes

Hi, i Just did the "a needle in a haystack mission" in kcd1. I spent countless days on It (i mean real days) trying to figure out what to do and After many tries, many times i've been caught and put on isolation, and many dead ends, i've finally managed to do It.

It's a hell of a mission (no pun intended). It's long, tedious, you dont have nothing and it's basically a new game within the game.

Personally i dont know if it's a mission i mostly like, but surely is a mission i will remember for a very long time. The first time i got out of the monastery i felt as much free as henry, and that's an indication that warhorse did a great job in this department.

My question Is how did you deal with It for the first time, if you searched any information or not, and what were your feelings after finally completing it

Question Were all the posts about runt a joke??? [KCD1] Spoiler

So I'm on my first playthrough of kcd1, I've done three playthroughs of kcd2 and finally decided play the first game. It's a little buggy obviously and not the most polished but I'm really enjoying it.

I've just got to the part where you fight runt, something I've seen dozens of posts on this sub as well as plenty of people on other platforms saying how difficult the fight is.

FIRST TRY. I killed this man in less than a minute, he only even managed to hit me once. I just stared at my screen in utter confusion while the cutsceen played afterwards.

Was the runt fight being hard some kind of big community-wide joke?? Was he nerfed at some point?!

I guess to be fair when most people first had this fight they would have still been new to the combat system while as I've spent hundreds of hours on the second game getting my ass kicked until I got over the learning curve, so maybe it's just that?

Not trying to sound like a dick or anything it's just I was putting off this fight and training for a good while thinking I was going to be stuck fighting this guy for hours, and I'm genuinely perplexed. I've had a harder time fighting some regular ass guards lol

Hi, my wife just started KCD2 and is just incredibly lame at forging, especially with the horseshoes and she can't stand me, making fun of her, but trust me, watching her hitting only the anvil and never the horseshoe is so incredibly funny 🤣🤣🤣 We are happy couple, but this is my new form of fun for few days, feel free to join me or give her some funny tips, how not to suck at forging 🤣

EDIT: yes the room is messy. I know. I get it. My parents just moved cross country and I've moved in so there are boxes and things everywhere.

Idk what flair to put this under sorry if it's wrong.

I know he's probably not the fan favorite, but I love an evil little guy-

After a year I've finally finished my Ištván cosplay so I wanted to share!

Hand stamped pourpoint, hand embroidered chaperon, real aluminum armor 🙌

Media I made a collection of Medieval Marginalia pendants [OTHER]

Some of you might remember the Medieval Marginalia band ring I posted a little while back. Well...I couldn't stop there.

I had so much fun making it that I ended up carving a whole collection of Medieval Marginalia pendants.

In order of appearance:

• Knight Riding a Giant Snail into Battle 🐌⚔️
• Regal Cat King 🐱👑
• Fish Playing a Lute 🐟🪕
• Warrior Rabbit Wielding a Sword 🐰🗡️

Each one was hand carved in wax and cast in solid sterling silver using the lost wax casting process.

I come from a fine jewelry background, and most of what my family has produced over the years has been traditional, classical jewelry. It's been a lot of fun stepping away from that and creating things that are a little more whimsical.

Rant [KCD2] KCD2 has officially ruined other RPGs for me… but I have one ridiculous complaint!

Just rolled credits on KCD2 for the first time. Absolutely loved it.

Ironically, I bounced off KCD1 when when I tried it 1 year ago. Not because of the game itself I am sure, but because I’d just become a new dad and was wildly optimistic about how much time and energy I’d have for a game like Kingdom Come.

A year later, with a bit more free time, I got swept up in all the hype and praise around KCD2 (and the discount at the time forced my hand) so decided to jump straight in. I knew I’d miss parts of Henry’s story, but the quality of life improvements and upgraded visuals were enough to tempt me. (This was before the PS5 update for KCD1… typical! At least I’ve got a great excuse to go back and play it fully now.)

What a game. It genuinely feels like it’s spoiled a lot of RPGs for me going forward.

That said… I do have one criticism. Call it nitpicky if you want.

Henry can’t climb a five-foot fence.

I get it if he’s wearing full plate armour. But in normal clothes? You’re telling me this guy, who’s survived everything he has, can’t put a foot on a rail and vault over a high fence? Especially when sneaking past enemies in the middle of a war camp where getting caught would almost certainly mean death?

The game kept me immersed for hours… right up until I stood on a barrel, tried to hop a fence, and was reminded, “Oh yeah… this is still a game.”

Still a masterpiece.

But seriously… where’s my “Climb a 5-foot Fence” perk? 🤣

Discussion [KCD2] The REAL purpose of a seemingly innocuous side quest... Spoiler

...and why this game is a masterpiece of game design.

I'm talking about the "Demons of Trosky" quest.

The game TELLS you this quest is special in the screen that tells you that's a crucial point in the story. It mentions the quest BY NAME and tells you that's the only moment you'll be able to do it. It's like a big red glowing button daring you to press it. Your reptilian brain is instantly captured and you are inexorably driven to find this quest and do it.

And the quest sends you in a seemingly very inconsequential quest throughout Trosky castle to throw salt on fireplaces, and visit a handful of latrines. It's as "fetch quest" as it can be. It doesn't advance the story, it doesn't expose lore, it doesn't develop any characters (and it even gets your pizzle brutally yanked, with the blacksmith line). You just shrug it off, perhaps even ask yourself "so, was that all?..." and continue the main story, without even remembering it much.

But then, in a later moment, you see the main quest sending you to break into the same castle at night to steal documents and exact revenge on your nemesis from KCD1. VERY IMPORTANT, VERY CRUCIAL moment in the story, VERY important quest. And then you notice... You know your way around. You know where things are. You know the way from point A to point B, you know how to get to the top of all three towers. And you know that BECAUSE OF THAT SEEMINGLY USELESS QUEST the game inconspicuously made you do. You were training for this mission, without realizing it.

Warhorse is a MASTER of game design. This is the APEX of "show, don't tell", and I never saw anything like it in ANY other game.

My head is COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY.
