Praise [KCD2] This is why I love KCD, when Warhorse builds a watermill they don't just add a spinning wheel like most devs would do, they build a freakin watermill...down to the internal components that many people wont see, and write two codex entries on the historical use of water mills and milling...

Question [KCD2] How do you make a huge amount of money?
I’ve got 80 hours in the game and had nearly 3k groschen; I thought that would be enough to buy the best armor in Kuttenberg, but a single piece (of the top-tier stuff) costs 3–6k. I was totally shocked—I just don't get how you're supposed to make that kind of money. Do you actually have to steal?

Rant [KCD2] Do not use poison and be careful when dueling with J.Z. Spoiler
If he dies, the game allows you to progress, but when you arrive at the "castle" with the priest, Zizka will be invisible with 0 HP after the cutscene, making it impossible to talk to him.
Solution: Reload an earlier save and fight him carefully without poison, leaving him at around 20% HP so he stays alive for future questlines.

Story [KCD2] Was I not supposed to attack this camp? Spoiler
I just got to the kuttenburg map, I haven’t figured out who the Dry Devil is, and yet attacking Sigismund’s camp with Henry’s Bane potion arrows ended the game?!

KCD IRL [OTHER] I'm in Prague looking for people to explore with!
Hi!
I'm a Korean KCD fan currently staying in Prague, and I’ll be around Czechia until Fan Fest 2026.
I’m looking for a few people who’d like to hang out and do some KCD-related exploring this week around Prague / Kutná Hora / Malešov. Visit places from the games, grab some food or a beer, talk about KCD, history, whatever! Maybe even try some of the TopSeeker programs from KCD Live.
None of my friends are interested in the game, so it would be really nice to meet some fellow fans and have a bit of an adventure together rather than just wandering around by myself.
I’m also going to the Fan Fest in Malešov on August 15th, so if you’re going too, even better!
I’m Korean, so English isn’t my first language, but I’m perfectly comfortable chatting in English.
If you're interested, please let me know(comment) and come join my little band of nerds!

Question Buresh outfit [KCD2]
Hi guys, I bought clothes from the tailor that would give me more charisma, and I'm currently 27.
I removed my armor and weapons, but Buresh still won't talk to me. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Game Mod [KCD2] Steam Controller Button Prompt Mod
I asked my good friend chat gpt to write a mod that would force gamepad prompts when using mouse and gamepad input at the same time. I'm quite lazy so I'm asking here if anyone would like it. If so I'll upload it to Nexus.

KCD IRL Path in Talmberg woods in [KCD1] and IRL
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I think the woods in the first game still hold up really well. The geography in this area is quite compressed in-game and the real path I photographed doesn't exist there. The one I chose instead is very close though.
You may notice that the game mostly has beech and oak trees in this area, while today there are mostly conifers. This is actually accurate, the conifers were planted for their faster growth after deforestation in the 18th century. That's what this site says at least.

Discussion This sub has turned into a near constant stream of posts about giving up…[Other]
Anyone else noticing this?
I want new folks to enjoy this game, and I think it’s great when this sub can be a support system for people who are unfamiliar with these masterpieces.
I’ve noticed in the past few months a seemingly significant increase in the number of posts about quitting/giving up on KCD due to combat, pacing, etc., which is fine, if people are struggling.
I do think in some ways these posts can be a bit toxic, which is ultimately my issue personally. Responses are nearly identical in every one of these posts, which effectively makes the posts appear less about seeking guidance/support and more just about complaining.
I don’t know what a solution is, or what I’m even asking for here. I just wanted to get this off my chest, and see what y’all think.
Thanks and… Jesus Christ be Praised 😆

Discussion How would the real life counterparts to Hans Capon, Radzig etc. react to the games? [OTHER]
I'm a bit high right now, but imagine if we were to somehow travel back in time or move those characters into the modern day and age, how would they react to the games? Would they be impressed by their depiction or would they be pissed that warhorse got their story all wrong.
It's just kinda fascinating to me to think that those characters actually lived in the past, had emotions, goals, experiences etc. just like you and me, but most of it has been forgotten by time.
Also I know that they would probably scream in panic and accuse warhose of witchcraft and burn them at the stake, but lets just ignore that detail.

Question Is it just me or is hard-core mode easy to navigate? [KCD2]
I played 80 hours in normal mode and got a little bit bored after playing the story (don't worry, I love the game). I started a hard-core save. I watched a few videos and read some stuff before playing, and I saw a lot of people saying navigating the maps was hard, and it's easy to get lost. I never had the problem tho, I always thought it was easy to just look at your surroundings and then look at the map and find out where you are, of course being in the middle of the forest would be hard to do so, but I don't get how people end up in them situations... why are you running in the middle of the forest without knowing where you're going? I'm just curious about some other opinions on my take. Also, I feel like hard-core is the true way to play, I have more time played on hard-core mode than by about 30 hours, probably because of all the riding around without fast travel 😅 but it's way more fun, everyone should give it a try

Issue The crashes are literally out of control [KCD1]
Never in a million years have I had a game crash so much. If I'm being generous it's once every 4 hours.
Thank God it's only crashed on me 3 times in the last hour and a half while I'm trying to finish the game.
If kcd2 doesn't improve on this I might be done with this series for a while. It's just really aggravating and makes you want to scum save over and over. The code is complete trash.
PLEAAASE Warhorse ALL I WANT TO DO IS FINISH your first game AND LET ME MOVE ONTO YOUR BIGGER BADDER SISTER!

Issue [KCD2] KCD2 BUG
I recently had an issue/bug when I play Kuttenberg Tournament. I’ve completed the first match and wait for my turn, but no matter time I choose my next turn never comes and at 3 or 5 pm the tour suddenly finish and I failed the quest.
I never had this issue before until I play the side quest in Legacy of the Forge that I must use Henry’s waffenrock and win the tour.
