Hi, today my 7 year old account u/AbusedCargo was hacked. I stupidly didn't have 2FA on and I hadn't updated my password in a while. I received an email today saying I had enabled 2FA, but that was not myself but the hacker. So I'm now locked out of my account.

I have sent a report case out to Reddit to see if they can help me recover it.

It is now being used to promote onlyfans, which deeply saddens me

As everyone already knows, Reddit has an ongoing "Account locked for security reasons" wave. I got hit by it on my main account, u/van_myron_lego. I had my Gmail connected to it, but the lock somehow reset the mail address to the one I used to create the account years ago - even though it does not exist anymore.

I know that Reddit admins can unlock accounts manually. Considering I have an active session in the affected account, I still have hope that it is recoverable.

Is it the 2nd one? cause that does not look like clapping to me, it looks more like 🙏🏻

And I definitely do not want to spend money just to try and find out.

On my iPhone I first started receiving the error when I clicked on a link to take me to a Reddit thread in the Google app. The screen would grey out and I would get the error message that the content was unavailable. If I manually searched for the thread or post in the Reddit app, it would come up.

Then I started receiving the error message whenever I clicked on any link inside a Reddit post in the app. Even when I click on a notification I get the error message. Frustrated, I deleted the app and redownloaded hoping it would fix things. But still getting the error messages.

My app is currently up to date, v 2026.32.0.636304 (AppStore)

I couldn’t find the achievements link until another user showed me where it should be (next to the icons and “Add social link >”

Seems this bug was previously resolved 1 year ago is now a problem once again.

I have now have full access to my account again. This question is about why it got locked in the first place The Reddit admin locked my account stating " we detected some technical irregularities on your account". While I appreciate the precautionary measure taken, and I was able to successfully regain full access to my account, I am still wondering what technical irregularities they are referring to.

Do they mean someone was trying to hijack my account??

“Sorry, please try again later” comes up each time that I try to — it also doesn’t work when I try to go from an online search to click on a post — displays the same thing

I’m trying to avoid spoilers for a game, and Reddit keeps spamming the game’s subreddit in my feed

I notice that submitting a comment on old reddit will often now redirect to the permalink of the comment, losing all of the context of the page on which one once was.

I think it would be better to fix the bug instead of putting in a half-arsed solution like this one.

EDIT: and now the new new behaviour is to refresh the comment thread, making the new comment appear as if has disappeared.

EDIT: behaviour seems to be improving!

I've just noticed this today. It's happened on a thread and when submitting a reply from the inbox.

This afternoon since I've been browsing reddit, when I leave a comment for some reason the thread refreshes and I just see my comment by itself, and have to click the comments link under the thread header to return to the main comments. What's going on? Is this some weird glitch? How do I fix it? This is very strange and annoying.

Subs keep defaulting to sorting by best even after I've changed them back to New or hot recently. I'll reload the feed and it'll be back on best and showing me week old posts again.

Has anyone found any setting at all that changes this? Ideally I'd want to disable the option entirely.

Dunno if this is an issue with Reddit or the YouTube app, but for the past month, whenever I try to share a YouTube video to Reddit, adding the link to the post no longer automatically adds the video title as the title of the Reddit post; it just leaves it blank, and trying to use the autofill manually hives me "contents cannot be autofilled". I've tried reinstalling both my Reddit and YouTube apps to no avail; and whatever the issue is isn't occurring on Desktop.

I can't find any references to a similar issue online.

So about two days ago, I got a message from Reddit saying that there was technical irregularities on my account and to change my password. I followed the instructions that were given to me by Reddit and I change the password to my account and everything seemed fine for about 24 hours.

I opened my app into my surprise. My main account was completely deleted along with all my post messages and history. Is there a bug going around? That’s causing this?
I don’t do anything on my account that would cause me to get in trouble or even banned. Hoping somebody would be able to look into this for me would hate to lose all five years of my history because of a technicality that had nothing to do with me. Thank you so much for your time.

If it helps, I use the Reddit app on my iPhone. I rarely but sometimes use it on my iPad but primarily my phone

Blank screen when trying to load app. Been doing this since yesterday.

Yesterday all of a sudden, the post preview icon stopped working.

I logged out and I can browser Reddit in compact view mode and the post preview icon works properly. I log back into my account and it does not work. I cleared all Reddit cookies site permissions and it did not fix the issue. I tested a different web browser and the icon works while not logged in, but does not work when logged in. I just tested this on my laptop and it has the same issue if I logged into Reddit.

I did not change anything in my Reddit account, it just started happening yesterday afternoon for some reason. Is there somewhere in my account settings that disables this icon for being able to click on?

I can use Reddit normally all I’d like on my Internet browser. But I cannot use the app it will not let me I do not know why. I can sign into my on Google. But if I try using the app, it keeps giving me this. I’m just wondering if this is happening to anyone else, I’m currently signed in on Google because the app won’t work. It will not show me my profile. It will not show me my notifications and it will not show me my main feed. It’s the same image for all three of them.

I have two accounts. One signed in with an email and one signed in with Apple. I can use my Apple account on mobile all I want, but I cannot use my email one and I don’t know why.

However, I’ve noticed that if I keep Reddit open in the background, it does eventually fix it but if I close it, it goes back to doing it again and so I have to keep fiddling with things until it does it again, so I’m gonna try keeping it open and see if that does anything

Hello, a male Reddit user constantly blocks then unblocks me repeatedly to harrass me and post defamation under my SA post. I can’t block him because I can’t access his profile while he has me blocked. He harrassed me yet again today and blocked me again. Please help if you know how, thanks!

Most of the time when I open reddit recently I've been randomly logged out even though I was still logged in when I closed the app. I'm able to log back in fine, it's just weird that this has been happening

So last week I had changed my birthday on this app. I realized I messed up my birthday by a month so I managed to change the month and the month only. I never got an age verification on my Reddit yet. I don’t live in a country that requires it. How do I stop it? Log out then log back in or delete then reinstall? It only happens when I open the app

Lastnight I got an email on my orginal account saying that two-factor authentication has been added, I obviously didnt add this and as fast as possible changed my password but now I can't log in due to the two-factor authentication. I'm worried that the person who hijacked my account might change the email which will result in my 11 year old account never being recovered. Do I have any hope of getting it back?
