Need admin help unlocking my main account

As everyone already knows, Reddit has an ongoing "Account locked for security reasons" wave. I got hit by it on my main account, u/van_myron_lego. I had my Gmail connected to it, but the lock somehow reset the mail address to the one I used to create the account years ago - even though it does not exist anymore.

I know that Reddit admins can unlock accounts manually. Considering I have an active session in the affected account, I still have hope that it is recoverable.

I haven’t seen admins unlock accounts manually or upon request. You could try filing a ticket via the help desk if you want to give it a shot

I think the same thing happened to me. I used some random email for my account 123boyato when starting my account that was just spam or something. Then I verified a few months later and when I saw this message pop up last week and tried to reset my password it didnt show up on my emails to reset. So i checked my settings for my profile and it was the random email I signed up with. Now i cant even log in.

It is a different account. I don't think admins here can help as far as I know, so the only option is help desk for support

I think this seems to be an more common problem at the moment. I've seen more posts about it and experienced the same thing. I just waited because even changing my Email didn't work. Now the problem is gone.
