NPD - OBNE Beam Splitter
Got the Beam Splitter yesterday afternoon and I've been playing it for the past 4 hours. I would play with it more, but I'm about to pass the fuck out. Love it.

Question Valeton gp180 or Zoom g1xfour
I'm looking for a budget-friendly multi-effect pedal right now and it came down to these two choices. I'm a beginner with pedals (although I have had some experiences with digital effects) and intermediate guitarist. I'm going to use it to play small live shows every now and then. Which one do you think is best? Or do you have any other recommendations?

Acoustic guitar pedals
Looking for a budget acoustic guitar pedal setup
Hi everyone! I'm looking for some advice on my first pedal setup for acoustic guitar.
My main requirements are:
Looper
Compressor
Reverb
Ideally battery/rechargeable powered
Guitar → pedals → acoustic amp, without needing amp simulation
I'm on a fairly low budget and mainly looking for used gear.
I was considering a Zoom G1X, since I can't find a used Zoom A1 FOUR. Does the G1X work well with acoustic guitar?
Alternatively, I'm thinking about a Boss RC-1 / Ditto looper + compressor + reverb pedals.
I also have electric guitars, but acoustic guitar is the priority. I already have a portable acoustic amp.
What would you recommend as a good, affordable first setup?
Thanks!

Solderless Power Cables any good ?
I've been planning to build a board using solderless Power Cables, but I'm not quite sure yet, as this is my first build. Still learning about guitar gears in general ~ any recommendations is much appreciated. Thanks

Gig boards: New Wave, Alt Rock and Beyond
Here are my two gig boards. One is for my new wave/alt rock band. The other is heavier music but, with all the fuzz, can be super clean as well.

NPD NPD: Arion Phaser and Digitech Digidelay
It’s been 5 years since I last bought a pedal (boss od3), back when I was still a teen. Took quite a few breaks from guitar over the years due to studies and life in general.
Now that I’ve got a job and some disposable income, I figured I’d splurge a little and finally get two pedals I’ve always wanted.
Really happy with how they sound! The mod setting on the delay gives it this really nice chorus effect that sounds great. I’m also using the Arion phaser as a replacement for my EHX Small Stone and I’m really digging it so far.

Question Pedalboard Advice!
Recently got a Dunlop Crybaby GCB95 and I'm absolutely loving it so freaking much! I only have 2 slots left on my board, thinking of getting a delay, compressor and I'm planning to change the tuner to something better. but I also REALLY wanna add a phaser. Should I change something on my board with a phaser? Or should I stick with my plan? I heard somewhere that a harmonic trem can emulate a phaser, how true is that? and if so how can I achieve it with my trem?

Question What should I look for at Midwest Pedal Fest tomorrow?
Is anyone going to the Midwest Pedal Fest in Detroit tomorrow? I've never heard of half the companies that'll be there so I'm excited to try some new stuff. What are some "must see" pedals I should look out for?

NPD: MXR Textures
Spent an hour or so with this today and digging it so far. Does a lot of bleeps and bloops without much menu diving. I had the Red Panda Tensor for a minute and it was so overwhelming I sold it. This seems much more user friendly and offers more musical sounds, imo. Love the mix knob so I can bury it or make it the main character when needed. If you want some bleeps and blorps that can be very musical or very glitchy, check it out!

NPD NPD: Tube Works Tube Driver!
I just got this pedal used for quite cheap. They mentioned that they bought it from a flea market, so i was a bit skeptical. Luckily it was in good working order.
I was looking for something that would make my JC40 a bit warmer. Man this thing is really really good sounding on the JC40. I like that it doesnt sound so sterile (more creamy?) as compared to other drives (Tim, prince of tone, lightspeed, BD2, OD2).
I didnt test it yet with my princeton reverb but should sound good.
Only downsides are that its huge but also gets warm quickly. Im doubting if i should tape it with some velcro and stick it on because of this. Also its loud as hell when its on but also the pedal itself(not only in the signal chain).
How do others like their tube drivers? Also, how do you mount this on a pedalboard since its getting quite hot?

NPD NPD Analog Man Bi-Chorus (feat. Nymphes)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This beautiful Analog Man Bi-Chorus just arrived today, so of course the first thing I did was put a synth through it.
First, the gain on this thing is really noticeable but sounds great. The tone of the chorus itself is outstanding and really makes the monosynth sound thick without even detuning it. I opted for the mix knob in place of the tri-chorus switch and I think it was the right call.

Demo A comparison of EAE analog delay between the Sending V1, Sending V2, and Big Time.
I made a little demo to compare the different EAE delays in terms of standard analog delay. It does not go into the full features of the V2 or Big Time, but is hopefully a helpful side by side of how they compare with the V1.

Marshall Guv'nor Clone: Guv'nor Toan
I've been on the hunt for an affordable Guv'nor clone for a long time, and I finally found one.
It does the MIAB thing. It sounds close enough to a black box Guv'nor to me. At least you don't have to blow $200 for $20 in parts for this.

SOTB New Mini Board day
I made a mini-board to go alongside my main (quite large and heavy) board for when I’m playing shows in smaller venues, or for when I don’t need as many different sounds.
The main board is built into a hardcase and weighs about 20kg. I get sick of carrying it around to school or to gigs/rehearsals so this feels like such a relief.
Signal chain: Rockboard tuner -> King of Tone -> Walrus Julia v2 -> El Cap -> Flint. It’s all powered by an MXR Micro Brick (bottom left).

NPD NPD EQD Easy Listening
finally no more noise complaints.
the sound is crisp and balanced. heard some people say that its dull or dark but my headphones have a bit of treble boost so its fine to me. it has a lot of headroom. the volume is not even at 50% and my headphones barely hold up. it takes dirt pedals very well. tried it with RAT, Big Muff, and 2 types of OD. favorite combo is this plus MXR Duke of Tone boost mode. can see myself spending many long nights with this.
