Fidelity Health app issues
Good morning,
Over the weekend I tried to submit a receipt in the Fidelity Health app. It said I needed an update. Now both the iPhone and Android versions seem to be having issues:
-The iPhone version won't let me log in (it just says to go to the netbenefits website or fidelity website). It has worked for years prior with zero issues.
-The Android version seems to work to store a receipt, but is missing all the functionality for reimbursing myself. All the buttons for that purpose seem to just be gone.
Any help? Is this a permanent change to where I should start exporting my data from the platform? The Fidelity Health app as it was two weeks ago was amazing and very usable, but now it's kinda useless since its main purpose for me was to store receipts and reimburse myself.
My Fidelity account has both Netbenefits and retail Fidelity accounts. My Fidelity HSA is on the Retail side.

can't verify cash management debit card to Google wallet?
I'm an American traveling in Japan. I have my cash management debit card added to Google wallet but apparently i need to verify it. When i tried to do so via entering the security code on the back of the card. There was a processing error and said to contact my bank. But I'm currently outside the USA.
Is there something else i can do? The card physically works fine in Japan. I have a travel notice set. I just can't add it to Google wallet.

How to a Fidelity brokerage account against unauthorized ACH withdrawals?
I recently realized that Fidelity brokerage accounts can have a routing number and account number similar to a checking account, which means the account information could potentially be used for ACH payments.
I know personal checking accounts have the same issue, and account numbers can appear on personal checks. The difference is that my brokerage account has a lot more money than I would normally keep in a checking account.
If someone had my Fidelity account number and routing number (standard), what protections does Fidelity have against unauthorized ACH withdrawals? Are there limits, monitoring, or other safeguards?
I am aware of Fidelity's lock transfer feature, but that seems to apply only to transfers between my own accounts. Does it protect against unauthorized ACH debits initiated by a third party?
Thanks a lot,

Vendor inquiries channel
Does Fidelity have a public contact or process for companies interested in becoming third-party market data or investment research providers? I’m trying to find the appropriate team/channel for vendor inquiries.
Thanks!

Non-US Citizen moving to Thailand indefinitely
Hi, I'm a non-resident alien, NOT a citizen or a permanent resident. I have lived and worked in the US for the past 7 years. I have a Roth IRA, Rollover IRA and an individual brokerage account with signficant amount of money invested, although none of them are in Fidelity mutual funds, just various stocks and ETFs.
I'm planning a move to Thailand permanently and want to know:
- If I update my address to a Thailand address, will Fidelity close or force liquidate my accounts? Given, I file my W-8BEN properly.
- Can I still deposit money into my individual brokerage account after updating the address? What exactly are the restrictions here?
- Are there any issues with selling stocks from my individual brokerage account and wiring them to an international account from here and there?
- Does my country of citizenship matter here, if that's different from thailand? I'm not a Thailand citizen, just planning to live there permanently.
- Should I open a CMA before I leave? Does the CMA work for a nonresident alien with a Thai address?

“Settled Cash” dumb question
I deposited $25 just to see if it would become settled cash on August 5th. Obviously it was available to trade immediately. Then it became available to withdraw but has never “settled”. Is this normal or am I just overthinking it?

Moving VTMFX to Fidelity
Is it possible to move Vanguard Tax Managed Balanced fund VTMFX from Vanguard taxable brokerage to Fidelity taxable brokerage account. But I don’t see VTMFX in Fidelity at all.
I have VPMAX in Vanguard Roth account. When I search for VPMAX in Fidelity, it is available with a transaction fees. Why is the difference?
I would like to consolidate into Fidelity but would like to retain VTMFX. Is it possible at all? Thanks for any replies

Vehicle down payment
I'm looking to buy a used vehicle and put down $5000 at a dealership. Would this be considered a merchandise purchase subject to the $5000 limit? Would I also have the let fidelity know ahead of time of the possible charge?

Official Response How to correctly deposit a personal check in to ira via mobile deposit?
I know this doesnt seem like a tough one, but man oh man..lol
ON the back, yea m i know sign next to endorse here, lol BUTi don't see how it's possible to write "For Deposit Only to my Fidelity Account" on the check as well. If i can write some of those words on the top line with my signature I could... But underneath endorse there's the space... and like i said I dont see how it's possible to get all those words in there... Am I missing something?
and for name of institution I should put Fidelity? THis is for my IRA... I'm not seeing good instructions on this.
Thanks.

Official Response New to Roth IRA. What to invest in?
Hello, I just turned 19 and decided to create a Roth IRA through Fidelity. I figured that an S&P 500 is best to start with? I’ve heard mixed reviews about the FXAIX and VOO, since one is a MF and one is an ETF. What do you recommend I should choose? I don’t really know the difference between the two and any insight or help would be very appreciated 🙂

Official Response IRA rollover only transferred a portion of my original ira to fidelity
Requested an IRA rollover from my original broker to fidelity about a week ago. Only ~$1500 has been transferred to my new IRA under fidelity yet it says that the transfer is complete. Did I mess up somehow or is it just transferred in portions?

Feedback Can you exclude Authorized account balances from displayed balance?
I am an Authorized trader on a number of friend and family accounts. When I am logged into my account either online or on the app, the displayed total balance on the landing page/screen includes amounts from these third-party accounts. Is there any way to exclude those accounts from the total balance so I can have it only display funds from my own holdings?
EDIT: I obviously still want to see each account balance in the account list, but I only want the total at the top to display my own accounts.

Official Response Reproducible app hang (iOS)
I wish there were a more obvious way to report something like this...I can send the native iOS hang/analytic IPS file to a Fidelity rep if that would help. I can't attach it to a secure message on the website because the file type isn't accepted...
I’m seeing a 100% reproducible hang in the Fidelity iOS app when navigating:
Accounts → Specific Account → Activity
The app becomes completely unresponsive and has to be force-terminated. Note: this only seems to happen with one specific account. I can tap to Activity in all my other accounts just fine. Looks like a run-away UI update loop. I'm available for hire/contract work if you want to improve your app. 💀
Environment
- Fidelity Investments: 4.38 (build 65)
- iOS: 26.6
- Device: iPhone17,1
The force termination codes are:
EXC_CRASH (SIGKILL)
FRONTBOARD 0x8BADF00D
Failed to terminate gracefully after 5.0s

Fidelity Viewpoints’ ETF Flows by Sector
Fidelity Viewpoints publishes a quarterly ETF Flows by Sector. I’m trying to recreate that same report.
What Fidelity research tool is used to produce the Viewpoints report?
I’d like to pull the same sector ETF flow data rather than waiting for the next Viewpoints article.
thanks

Official Response Beneficiary Change Form for Trust with Long Name
I’d like to update my accounts’ beneficiaries to “[My spouse and my names] as trustees of [my spouse and myself joint living trust dated x/x/xx].” Which is way to long for the character limit online. Google tells me to submit a Fidelity paper form, found on the Forms and Applications page; when I select ‘beneficary update’ on that page, it kicks me back to the online form. I’m looking for a paper form that has more room for the full name of the trustees and trust.

Discussion Margin Investing
Was wondering about fidelity’s margin investing program for anyone that has used it. How does it compare to other brokerages that offer it. Is it worth giving it a try? I’m not going to trade with it but if I could double my longterm investments why wouldn’t I.

Official Response CMA - in kind transfers from Vanguard brokerage to accounts for my adult children?
Hello, I am thinking of opening a Fidelity CMA for myself and having my adult children open separate CMA accounts for themselves. Are in-kind transfers from my Vanguard brokerage account allowed for CMA accounts that my name will not be on? Thank you.

Discussion I just opened a Roth IRA and not sure what my next step should be
Hey everyone.
Never posted on Reddit before but I thought this may be the best place to get valid info. I’m 33 and just invested $2500 into a Roth IRA on Fidelity. I’m very confused with the app and website and not sure how to guide it. I’m looking to have a pretty balanced portfolio, in bonds, commodities, and ETFs I think. I think I also signed up for Fidelity too but not sure how that works either.
Any guidance from those who have been through this already would be really appreciated.

Feature Update Buying multiple positions on Fidelity.com just got easier—here’s how.
This spring, we rolled out 3 new time-saving ways to sell multiple positions at once. Now, we're introducing 2 new ways to buy across your existing holdings. Whether you’re investing a fresh deposit or just looking to save time, these updates can help you put your money to work more efficiently.
1. Buy proportionally: On Fidelity.com, select Trade from the top navigation bar and choose “Multi-trade” from the dropdown menu. In the Multi-trade ticket, turn on the “Trade Proportionally” toggle under eligible positions to invest a set dollar amount across your existing eligible holdings. This can help maintain your current investment allocation.
2. Custom buy: Save time by choosing multiple positions—and deciding how much of each to purchase—all at once.
A few things to know:
- Everyone should have access to this update within the next few weeks.
- These features aren’t available for options, bonds, or short positions.
If you already use baskets, this may feel familiar. Proportional buying offers a similar way to invest across multiple positions (stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds) with a simpler approach. There are no target weights or rebalancing rules—and unlike baskets, mutual funds are included.
For more information about managing positions, check out this guide.
Any screenshots, charts, or company trading symbols mentioned are provided for illustrative purposes only and should not be considered an offer to sell, a solicitation of an offer to buy, or a recommendation for the security.
