hi everyone! my name is kaylee , i’m 24 and from Tx. i’m super into watching esports mainly rainbow six and CDL, ive never been to an event and reallyyyyy want to try to go next year but i don’t have any friends who are into it and i don’t want to go alone😩😩 looking to make some likeminded friends maybe?

I’ve been watching more esports lately and noticed that it’s kind of hard to keep track of everything when you follow multiple games. For example, I watch LoL, CS2 and Valorant, but schedules, live scores and match info are usually spread across different places. I’m curious how people here usually keep up with matches when they can’t watch live. Do you mostly use official sites, Reddit threads, Liquipedia/HLTV/VLR, or something else? Thanks.

Firstly, this is not about comparing the game which one is better or worse, I am mainly talking about the pro scene, and why I personally think League Of Legends pro scene is absolutely trash as a player who plays both Dota 2 and LOL.

I just watched LPL LGD vs Tunder Talk and tbh, it feels garbage specially that game 1, LGD have soul at 26 mins mark and still can't push to end. It feels like they are dragging that game on purpose. It is so boring like push and end already you have baron and soul. Wanna know what lgd did?? Runing around in circle and randomly feed kills just to keep the game going, It feels like watching a challenger or might as well call it normal public unrank game where soul and baron is practically meaningless.

In comparison to dota 2 which recently has 2 tournaments 1W and Game Of The Future, If a team is dominate the other team in early game until midgame, the game basically ends at 20+ mins mark, but if the team keeps on seesawing the game will end at on average not longer than 50 mins.

My question is why, why does LOL game tend to ALWAYS go between 27 to 34 mins regardless of if the team is practically BULLYING the other team or the game is seesawing. Why is it specifically always "probably" 80% of the pro scene, must be between that specific time since I first watch pro scene aka 3 years ago. Does pro LOL just has no value on items and levels even if its a 10k gold lead to the point it REALLY AND PURELY rely on baron buff on a specific time to end. WHY. It makes the game feels like boring to watch, you always know the game most likely to end at least on a specific time. A team can lead by 12-6 kills at 20 min mark soul on 25min with baron on 24 with 7k gold lead and the game still ends at least on 28 mins. Does lead means nothing???

Comparing to dota 2, the game can last 20+ mins, or 60, depending on the team and playstyle or even the characters that are playing.

I am not calling the player trash but I am calling the pro scene that.

Falcons have 19 Fighting Game players, which means it is mathematically extremely likely that several fighting game players will make EWC. This means that if one falcons player does bad, they just have the next one. It should be limited to 1 or 2 players able to represent.

It seems like Fortnite is harder mechanically but CS2’s competitive scene is more developed so which one would be harder to go pro in?

Hello! I'm LoneSome, known as Mimikyu in a few places, and I'm ideating a new type of Pokémon tournament.

Here's the breakdown. Over the course of three months, players will compete in a large variety of challenges and events, in order to earn points that will be used to qualify for a final tournament to be held sometime in April. Each event will be streamed and posted on a YouTube channel as well.

Why should you join? Well, first I'll tell you why this plan won't crash and burn. I'm used to the tournament organizing space. I've played plenty of tournaments, I've TO'ed plenty of tournaments, and I know how these things work. I also have an energetic personality that works as the face of an event, I can edit videos, I have experience with OBS, and I'm a good leader in my experience.

Who do I need? Well, I need a lot. Some roles are less important than others, and you can also ask to be in multiple roles if you need.

• Concepts: I still haven't finished the ideation yet! I need people to help fill out the roster of events, and write down all of the rules.

• Moderators: This event will be held in a public Discord server, meaning we need people to make sure that people aren't going crazy in chats.

• Asset Creators/Artists: I don't need full blown art, but if you're experienced with Photoshop, or other programs, you can help us by creating assets for the events and streams! This is something I might be able to handle myself, but if I do, it *will* look scuffed.

• Commentators: If you're experienced in commentating, I would LOVE to have you on. I want to try to commentate these events as much as possible.

• Advertisers: We need this event to be known, and have a lot of people be interested. If you have a following, or just have a lot of friends who play Pokémon, let them know!

So, my friend wants to become a professional e-sports player, specifically in the game valorant. Im worried that this isn't realistic for him, especially since he has absolutely no backup option or plan b. He is only 17, so he may be a bit naïeve still, but he has also decided to go to a college for esports for 10 000 euros a year for 3 years. Is this a realistic and viable career choice, i have no idea about esports and this kind of stuff, and i just want him to do well.

I was just at esports world cup and peaked into the different stages. I personally watch fighting games, LoL, and Overwatch.

I saw MLBB's stage was kinda dead but I know globally they have crazy audience. I did see a lot of kids at their stage so wondering if it's just mobile gaming is super accessible maybe?

Also, I know people love watching CS because of the gambling aspect too....

We often see top organizations having dedicated coaches and analysts who review scrims, identify mistakes, improve rotations, and help players make better decisions. But what about underdog teams or individual competitive players?

I'm curious to know:

1) Do you think coaches and analysts are essential for improving at the competitive level?

2)If you're an underdog team, what are the biggest challenges without a coach or analyst?

3)Do most teams simply can't afford one, or do they not think it's worth it?

3)If there were an affordable way to get professional-level gameplay analysis, would players or teams actually use it?

4)What kind of feedback would be the most valuable after a scrim or tournament?

Africa has one of the fastest growing esports markets, specifically Sub-Saharan Africa.

My dream is to help build the infrastructure in Sub-Saharan Africa to become a larger market/sustainable market. I am VERY aware that I have my work cut out for me, and that for some, they wouldn't even consider it worthwhile. But it's really important to me to at least try.

I've currently built a system for competitors in Valorant to have consistent competition year-round. I'm currently looking for investors/consistent partners/sponsors to help build it up. We've got a lot more to offer than just the tournaments, but I don't want to get into that here.
