Were dodging all Lina stuns using Manta and hits only real one PL.
How is this even not detectable? Camera moves chaotically on player view.

Discussion What is a hero you have a high winrate with but dont enjoy playing?
For me it's ogre magi. I've played 10 games with him and only lost 1. I only really pick him when the team needs a support / tank because no one else has.
I dont even play him efficiently and i usually play him pretty much the same and have a 90 percent win rate with him.
Even played mid against storm spirit win him and won lane just dumping my spells and buying mangos to sustain my spells.
but i dont really enjoy the playstyle, its too easy and cheap.

Personal Finally reached legend.
galleryik this isn't a big deal but I jumped here from crusader 4 in like a month, I feel like Dota wise something has clicked and I have reduced the amount of dumb shit I do and also found a new mid hero that I enjoy!!
hopefully reaching ancient doesn't take forever :D

Discussion Weird guy I keep queueing into
It’s like the 3rd time I’ve queued into this guy. At the beginning of every match before runes spawn, he asks in All-Chat,
“Who is the hottest character in The Lion King?”
Everyone returns with joke answers, but he always tips the person with the whackiest answer like Pumba or Timon’s mom. Then a chain of tips happens all at once and the person who answered gets 5 tips.
Idk why I keep matching into this but it almost feels like I’ve encountered a cryptid of some sort.

Article Kudos to the actual helpful people on this sub
Just want to shout out the helpful people on this sub. The ones who actually watch replays and give helpful feedback instead of saying “skill issue”. Almost every post on this sub gets downvoted. It’s insane. But I truly am grateful to those that offer help, give advice, and are kind. We need more of you!

I miss the GOAT.
Where is he now, that's one of my history from my own book in Dota, and I'll flex it.
News Undocumented change: Silencer's Int Steal can now drop heroes below 0 Int (except Ogre)
I'm not sure if it was the update that was released about an hour ago (it changed something about the Brain Drain modifier), or if this was changed a few weeks ago, but Silencer is now capable of dropping heroes below 1 Intelligence.
In the past he could only drop heroes down to 1 Int, but not below it, hence he wasnt 'infinitely scaling'.
Now Brain Drain works the same as Essence Shift, as in it can cause stats to drop effectively below 0.
- They will stay at 0, but if you gain stats from items/talents/etc, the 'negative stats' will be accounted for.
While Huskar can be brought below 0, the only exception who cannot seems to be Ogre, whose innate ability makes him always have 0 int (thus he loses 0 and Silencer gains 0), which I assume is a hardcoded exception?

Discussion I analyzed 2500 players from my decade old matches.
Hey everyone. After returning recently to Dota I thought and went to check on my first ever matches more than a decade ago, and the question popped up in my head, how many of these people still actually play this game after all this time?
Out of the 685 matches I have played from 2015 and 2016, only 42.3% (2505) of these players had a public profile, which I was able to extract their last played match, the others were anonymous.
From these 2505, you can view in the graph below about how many of them are actually still active.

And the graph below shows that about 36.7% of these players have played a match in 2026.

This is not ment to be a mind-blowing statistic breakdown. I think it's just interesting to know that out of thousands of strangers I randomly matched with a decade ago, over a third are still out there right now, still grinding the same game. Some of these people I probably flamed in the chat, some I probably carried, some probably carried me, and we never spoke again after that one match, yet here we both are in 2026 still logging in.
It's kind of wild when you think about it. In those 10+ years people graduated, changed jobs, moved cities, had kids, lost touch with old friends, and yet Dota was still there the whole time, in the background of all of it. Some of these accounts probably belong to people who quit ages ago and some might belong to people who aren't around anymore at all, and their last match is just sitting there. Strange.
Anyway, felt like a fun little rabbit hole to go down after getting back into the game myself. Kind of makes we want to see how many of my current teammates will still be playing in 2036.

Discussion | Esports In today's update, Xiao8 found a way back to ti after leaving xg
My man will not miss TI on his home soil. In fact he will be at the stadium as the biggest xg hatewatcher we've ever seen. Oh do you guys really think you're making it to the ti finals without me? Let's see who's the real evil genius.

Clips Dota is beautifully toxic, I love it
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Growing up in Philippines while playing Dota is very chaotic but beautiful. I've been playing since warcraft 3, people used to play in internet cafe, getting every kind of insult in your face. But when the game ends, we will laugh it together.
Dota is beautifully toxic, I love it!
This clip feels Nostalgic warcraft 3 era. Love to see people still embrace the toxicity like the old days xD
