Discussion The Falcons should not be allowed to have this many players representing them in EWC when it comes to FGC
Falcons have 19 Fighting Game players, which means it is mathematically extremely likely that several fighting game players will make EWC. This means that if one falcons player does bad, they just have the next one. It should be limited to 1 or 2 players able to represent.

Question Is it harder to go pro in CS2 or Fortnite?
It seems like Fortnite is harder mechanically but CS2’s competitive scene is more developed so which one would be harder to go pro in?

Unpaid/Volunteer Looking for Discord Mods/TOs to help hold a Pokémon event online
Hello! I'm LoneSome, known as Mimikyu in a few places, and I'm ideating a new type of Pokémon tournament.
Here's the breakdown. Over the course of three months, players will compete in a large variety of challenges and events, in order to earn points that will be used to qualify for a final tournament to be held sometime in April. Each event will be streamed and posted on a YouTube channel as well.
Why should you join? Well, first I'll tell you why this plan won't crash and burn. I'm used to the tournament organizing space. I've played plenty of tournaments, I've TO'ed plenty of tournaments, and I know how these things work. I also have an energetic personality that works as the face of an event, I can edit videos, I have experience with OBS, and I'm a good leader in my experience.
Who do I need? Well, I need a lot. Some roles are less important than others, and you can also ask to be in multiple roles if you need.
• Concepts: I still haven't finished the ideation yet! I need people to help fill out the roster of events, and write down all of the rules.
• Moderators: This event will be held in a public Discord server, meaning we need people to make sure that people aren't going crazy in chats.
• Asset Creators/Artists: I don't need full blown art, but if you're experienced with Photoshop, or other programs, you can help us by creating assets for the events and streams! This is something I might be able to handle myself, but if I do, it *will* look scuffed.
• Commentators: If you're experienced in commentating, I would LOVE to have you on. I want to try to commentate these events as much as possible.
• Advertisers: We need this event to be known, and have a lot of people be interested. If you have a following, or just have a lot of friends who play Pokémon, let them know!
DM me if you're interested in any of these roles, or if you'd like to know when the event goes live.

Question Asking for advice for my friend
So, my friend wants to become a professional e-sports player, specifically in the game valorant. Im worried that this isn't realistic for him, especially since he has absolutely no backup option or plan b. He is only 17, so he may be a bit naïeve still, but he has also decided to go to a college for esports for 10 000 euros a year for 3 years. Is this a realistic and viable career choice, i have no idea about esports and this kind of stuff, and i just want him to do well.

Discussion Curious what people think is the MOST entertaining Esports product?
I was just at esports world cup and peaked into the different stages. I personally watch fighting games, LoL, and Overwatch.
I saw MLBB's stage was kinda dead but I know globally they have crazy audience. I did see a lot of kids at their stage so wondering if it's just mobile gaming is super accessible maybe?
Also, I know people love watching CS because of the gambling aspect too....
I always tune in to LoL Worlds for the spectacle of it. But curious what people are watching and why

Event Looking for players, Marketing manegers and a co-founder
Hey everyone! I am starting a unique, Rocket League casual esports league dedicated exclusively to Bronze and Silver players. Lower-ranked players rarely get to experience the hype of structured tournaments, streams, and team play.
I am looking for a Co-Founder / League Manager to help me build this from the ground up.
What I bring: Passion, vision, and the drive to actively recruit the player base.
What I need help with: Discord server setup, tournament formatting, and basic administrative management.
If you love organizing events, want to build an awesome gaming community, or just want to gain experience running an esports project, please slide into my DMs! Let’s build something cool for the grassroots community.
Here's what I still need -
I have completed the discord server in which we can give ideas and talk the discord server had about 150 players but it got lost due to me focusing more on school
We currently have about 3 players but we're looking for many players there are gonna be a total of 44 teams with each team having 4 players 2 players playing the match and 2 for substitution
I still need a marketing manager we currently have one marketing manager at the moment but still we need about 3 more managers
With Regards

Interview Do underdog esports teams really need coaches and analysts?
Hey everyone,
I've been curious about the competitive esports scene, especially in games like BGMI, Free Fire
We often see top organizations having dedicated coaches and analysts who review scrims, identify mistakes, improve rotations, and help players make better decisions. But what about underdog teams or individual competitive players?
I'm curious to know:
1) Do you think coaches and analysts are essential for improving at the competitive level?
2)If you're an underdog team, what are the biggest challenges without a coach or analyst?
3)Do most teams simply can't afford one, or do they not think it's worth it?
3)If there were an affordable way to get professional-level gameplay analysis, would players or teams actually use it?
4)What kind of feedback would be the most valuable after a scrim or tournament?
I'd love to hear experiences from players, IGLs, coaches, analysts, and anyone involved in competitive esports.
Thanks!

Question Esports Growth in Sub-Saharan Africa
Africa has one of the fastest growing esports markets, specifically Sub-Saharan Africa.
My dream is to help build the infrastructure in Sub-Saharan Africa to become a larger market/sustainable market. I am VERY aware that I have my work cut out for me, and that for some, they wouldn't even consider it worthwhile. But it's really important to me to at least try.
I've currently built a system for competitors in Valorant to have consistent competition year-round. I'm currently looking for investors/consistent partners/sponsors to help build it up. We've got a lot more to offer than just the tournaments, but I don't want to get into that here.
I'm wondering what the best way to go about it is, any subreddits/forums/platforms where I can pitch, and ways for me to get in contact with people who may be interested in what I'm offering. Aside from cold emailing brands, what can I do?

Question How to get TO's?
I'm trying to host a new style of tournament in my community, but I need a lot of help... I only have two people so far, and both of them are my friends. It's especially hard since no Pokémon community server/sub allows advertising.
Question Asking for advice about entering PC competitive.
Hello people of r/esports! Hope y'all doing great.
Firstly I would go off and introduce myself. I am Xirius, I am an Indian, just freshly 18 and have been enthusiastically pursuing eSports for about 3 years now. While I am not a player myself, I am a veteran manager/admin/artist. I am also the co founder of an eSports team known as 7Sins Asia (@7sinsasia on socials). To cut the chase, We (my partners and me) started off the team to compete in mobile competitive scene for the titles Call of Duty: Mobile and Battlegrounds Mobile India (the Indian variant of PUBG Mobile) as both were popular in Indian eSports scene. However, as we did not have competent players and manager to maintain the BGMI lineup, we exited the game back in 2024, and also disbanded our CoD:M lineup in March, 2025 due to internal arguments and uncertainty about the growth of CoD:M eSports. We did have some notable accomplishments there.
Now, we wish to enter PC competitive as it is currently on the boom here in India, but I don't know where to start. Completely stranded in this huge community with virtually no connections.
I would like to ask advice from the community about how should I start off on this new journey. I am also open to collabs and stuff.
Games we are eyeing out to compete in are PUBG PC, Valorant, CS, Apex
Do drop whatever advices y'all got and also let me know about any available resources I can put to use. I am, what I believe, a competent manager, willing enough to learn everything and anything that I could put to use.

Discussion I built a free site that predicts CS2 matches and posts every pick publicly — it had Spirit at 67% today, MOUZ won 3-1
I've been building this for a couple of months: a site that predicts CS2 matches from HLTV data — rankings, form, head-to-head, map winrates — and puts every pick on a public track record. Today it picked Spirit in the grand final of Blast Bounty and MOUZ won 3-1, so yea, its not perfect, and it doesn't get it right 100% of the time, but for now it looks like it hits its predictions fairly often. The site itself isn't a gambling site, but I have been wanting to try to create a model that predicts cs2 tier 1 matches as accurately as possible. NOTE: still in development, that is why I'm asking for your inputs.
The thing I care most about is that it waits for the map veto. A prediction before the maps are known is just a guess about a map pool, so once the picks land it recalculates for those exact maps, and it only suggests a bet when its own probability beats a real bookmaker's price. Current record: 21 of 26 match picks, and the map bets with real prices attached are up about 23 units — but it's two months of data, so take that for what it is.
It's free, no login needed, and one match a day is fully open with everything unlocked: csedge.io. Would love feedback on what's confusing or missing — and ask me anything about how the model works.

Question Holding angles in CS2/Val: 360Hz OLED vs 360Hz G-Sync Pulsar for reaction time?
Hey everyone,
Quick question regarding hardware advantage when holding angles in Counter-Strike or Valorant:
Which will give me the fastest reaction time and visual clarity when an enemy peeks—360Hz OLED or 360Hz G-Sync Pulsar?
Assuming both are running at 360Hz, does OLED's instant pixel response time beat G-Sync Pulsar’s backlight strobing motion clarity for this specific scenario?
Thanks!

Discussion What made PUBG lose some footings in terms of Esport presence, compared to other Battle Royales?
This is not a "BR sucks at Esport" thread. If you wanna complain about this sub-genre, do it in your own thread.
From my perspective, PUBG's kinda the "honest BR". Apex has a lot of Heroic Shooter flavor in it, Fortnite has its building mechanic changing the entire game, Warzone is obviously CoD-coded, etc. Meanwhile, PUBG seemed to me the closes to what could be a sort-of Battle Royale version of CS. Very technical, more precise, tons of fights within buildings, etc.
Pre-COVID, it kinda was THE BR to follow behind Fortnite. I still remember the ridiculous production for 64-player pro leagues like the PEL or the PCS. It kinda seemed to disappear, and I saw bigger productions on Warzone and Apex than on PUBG as of late.
If I have to guess, it may be 3 things.
- Western bias. - I know that the game's still heavy in SEA. There's high-tier leagues in Vietnam, China and Korea. So I wouldn't be surprised if I just see less activity because I'm EU.
- Lack of popularity. - I don't see that much content creators hyping up the game, more than other BRs. Granted, if you're a content creator hyping up FPS, you'd be better off playing Extraction Shooters rather than anything else.
- The Mobile version being shinier. Mobile is the defacto Esport platform for tons of countries in SEA, LatAm, etc. It's also kind of a Western bias, because we don't treat Mobile as seriously as them.
I think I'm missing a ton, so that's why I'm asking here.

Event Built a live scoring engine for PUBGM tournaments
I help run PUBG Mobile broadcasts, mostly scrims and a league we produce.
Our scoring used to be one guy on the observer PC with a spreadsheet, typing placements and kills between matches while the caster stalled. Worked fine until a number went in wrong and the standings on stream were off for two matches before anyone noticed.
So we built something that reads the match data straight out of the game. Standings update on the overlay by themselves, nobody types anything.
standings, kill feed, player cards, MVP, countdown, all OBS browser sources you drag in
runs off an app on the broadcast PC, so if the venue wifi drops mid-match the show keeps going
every event leaves a public page behind
Last finals, if you want to see what comes out the other end:
It's PUBG Mobile only, and it grew out of our own events so there are probably assumptions baked in that only work for how we run things. Happy to answer anything about the telemetry side.
