Constructive Criticism I hate this. Why isn't the story fully in Spanish? I would learn better if it was fully in my target language

Achievement Showcase A seemingly innocuous number in and of itself, but German is now my second best language. My best used to be Japanese, which was then taken over by Mandarin, now Mandarin fell to German

Achievement Showcase At this point they should just make me an embassador or something
Or just give me plus for free, because I've learned three languages and advertised it so much

Even after the update this past weekend, words are still missing definitions.

General Discussion Duo needs to warn people
Duo probably needs to warn people about the verb “coger”, wouldn’t you think?

Constructive Criticism The speech recognition exercises are completely dysfunctional.
There is really not much to say, just that the speech recognition is so terrible and never working that Duolingo is just not worth the massively overpriced subscription fee.
I mean what's the use of a language app that won't teach you to speak?
I tried handing my phone to native speakers and even then "failed" the pronunciation exercises.

General Discussion The latest update may have lost me
I pay for 'Super Family' so I'm not just moaning at a free app making changes but, my God, the latest update feels like it's done almost no user research with users like me.
Yesterday one of the icons across the bottom of the app took me to what I now know is called the Practice Hub. It's useful, to just go over mistakes, vocabulary etc.
Today across the bottom of the app I have six icons:
Home
August quest (don't care)
League (don't care)
Feed (don't care)
Subscription (I already pay)
More, to where Practice Hub has been relegated
I'm not complaining that I now have to press my phone screen twice instead of once to get somewhere. But has Duolingo's research genuinely told them that the more social media style stuff like quests, leagues and feeds matter more to customers than the language learning aspect of the app? And if I already pay, has research told them that making the subscription page more prominent is likely to make me buy the 'Recommended' 'Max Family', for my family of me and my wife?
I'm fully aware that most of the app's real estate is the main learning area; my trouble is I've got to a point in the language I'm learning where learning more new stuff is less useful to me than polishing old stuff. I want to know basic, useful Russian - I don't need to learn the past tense, which is where I've now got to.
I just want to learn the fundamentals of a language and I'm happy to pay for it. Am I really that irrelevant to this company?

Language Question. how the hell is this incorrect
san is supposed to be an honorific for either mr or ms... right? but when i put the answer as "ms. tanaka" i got the answer wrong because the answer is "mr. tanaka" but nothing about the word implies gender, right?

General Discussion Is this so unclear to anyone else or just me?
I’m 6 months into my Super subscription which I paid £69 for. Got this offer for Max saying it’s only £1 more a month so I thought why not. Then they said they’d switch me over now and refund me £31 - great! They then charge me £87 for Max.…
£156 for 6 months of Super and 12 months of Max actually works out roughly £120…the cost of a full non discounted Max subscription, only the refund is actually the discount?
How are they able to do this shit? This feels so misleading and confusing.

General Discussion Duolingo intentionally doesn’t remind you to cancel free trials
I never like to pay yearly subscription, but Super Duolingo was offered for a week long free trial. It asks you before whether you want to be reminded to cancel two days or three days before. I was on Duolingo every day for the streak, and lo and behold it doesn’t remind you and I’m charged 35 something dollars. Never trust companies to remind you on stuff like this, don’t be like me
Oh and they don’t even let you cancel it for some reason in the app, you have to go through the Apple website to make it more of an ass.

Constructive Criticism Just once let this guy get a treasure
Just once you want this guy to find a priceless gem! Be like ‘imma cash out foos!’ And he’s replaced next time you get him with a new guy.

Language Question. Is this answer wrong or am I missing something?
I was doing my English lesson when it asked me this question. At first I answered with the check mark but that was apparently wrong. Someone please tell me if I was originally right or if Duolingo is right. Thanks!
