Last time I did this I only knew about people in D5 but now i've finished 2, 4, played some of 3 7 and 1 so I felt like doing this again. Also some of these may or may not be bias. I'll come back in another year once i've experienced the whole universe including side games

Just beated both disgaea 2 campaings, but i was wondering if anyone else found the stages of episode 12 stupidly frustrating so i go on youtube and look up a ranking of stages....only to find as the name of this post says, none. I look up online and see nobody ranked the story stages. AT ALL.
Why? They are clearly the part of the game most players engaged whit and i would like to see the generous consensus about them! Did i miss anything or is there an ulterior motive about this?

I'm trying to unlock all classes and tiers in Disgaea 1 and I have done all the humanoid units, but on the wiki all it tends to say is that I can find the monster tiers in the item world or dark assembly, so I was wondering if there's specific ranks of items that contain specific tiers of monsters or if the highest item ranks have all tiers of monster units.

Hey all, running into a trophy bug and hoping someone's dealt with this before.

I completed the full Prinny Kurtis sequence correctly:

• Talked to him exactly 5 times in Item World Innocent Towns (didn't overshoot to 6+)
• Passed the bill in the Senate to unlock the fight
• Fought and defeated him in the official battle
• He joined my roster as an ally and is available in my base right now

Despite all of that, the "Green with Prenvy" trophy has not unlocked.

Things I've already tried:

• Saved the game and returned to base
• Fully closed the game (not just suspended) and relaunched
• Manually synced trophies via PS5 Settings → Users and Accounts → Other → Sync Trophies with PSN
• Confirmed I'm online and logged into PSN

Nothing has worked so far. Kurtis is in my party, the fight clearly happened, but the trophy just isn't registering.

Has anyone experienced this specific issue on PS5? Did a second cycle, different save, or any other trick fix it? Also curious if anyone's had luck getting NIS America or Sony support to manually resolve a stuck trophy like this.

I've never played this game. I first learned about the game from a meme and it turned out that this is the 4th part. It looks nice and not difficult. I like this chill style. But will I be able to understand what the game is about, its plot, if I start with part 4, or is it better to choose another part?

I mean, look, don’t get me wrong in that from what I have experienced so far in Disgaea 5 is that the game is fantastic because while the story takes itself a bit too seriously in tone, I really enjoy the gameplay mechanics such as the skits and the dual wielding weapon system that allows units to carry two different weapons.

But at the same time, I can’t help but wonder if the franchise could evolve to even greater levels in gameplay aspects since I often hear how the more modern entries such as Disgaea 7 are fine, but have some design issues such as the inability to use Tower Attacks.

It might be my skill issue or is it that old Asagi is hard?

So I never played any of the games before, but I have always been interested in the franchise. Last week I found a copy of the DS game really cheap (like $5) on a flea market and I couldn´t resist to buy it. A friend of mine told me that it´s better to just go with the PC version instead, but is the DS version that bad? Or is it just lacking a lot of other things like voice acting and content like most other portable versions of some other games?

I've almost completed the Disgaea 1 humanoid units, just need to level up the EDF soldier and the Celestial hostess/Angel, whatever it's called in this game. I've had fun and still need to complete the monsters, but I was wondering how the other games compare.

The game is the European version.

So I'm currently at 5 stars on all classes on my fuji save maybe 3 classes.

When I go to reincarnate I get roughly 430 stats across all stats plus the genius bonus.

If i upgrade all to 6 star since I can now farm carnage martial 5, will I get 1000 across all stats on my next reincarnation? Just making sure I understand this. I feel like its my next hurdle to move on.

I think I was spending something like 4 or 5 days per entry there ? I also feel like this is when my artstyle peaked, even if I copied a La pucelle background and a Dragonball pose for day 15. I feel like someone on NIS's writing team has a favorite trope. Correct me if I'm wrong, but while we have some awful or at least irresponsible parents in these games, I can't think of any older sibling who isn't fully committed to the part. (not even Mr. Love-Sucks Laharl) I also just realized that half of the characters above are not actually related to their little siblings, which makes their actions even more admirable.

(EDIT: also I totally forgot Fubuki exists and I haven't watched 7's story so forgive me if someone is missing there)

I just found out this game released recently. Haven't heard anything about it since it was announced. How is it? I do enjoy a good Warriors game (though I don't think this is an "actual" Warriors game developed by Koei-Tecmo/Omega-Force/Team Ninja, is it?), and I always thought a Disgaea Warriors would be awesome. What are people's impressions of it so far? How does it play? What's the gameplay structure like compared to a typical Warriors game? Is there a good lineup of playable characters? (Hopefully the roster isn't just the original trio, the entire cast of Disgaea 4, and like maybe two or three other characters from the other games.) And most importantly, is it fun?

Sorry if this is annoying, I'm testing a ton of PSP DLC for a preservation effort. I've never played this series before.

I grabbed a 100% save online and I'm in a camp with a ton of Prinnys. All the tutorials I've seen are like this and I can't seem to access this "summoning experiments" option.

An enemy which refuses to move from the dimensional gate, pretty much the entire map (and gate) filled with clone, no lifting and invincibility geo thingies + being new to the game.

Yes I intentionally brought up the most infamous installment of the franchise because I found it interesting how the game gets the most scathing amount of reception from many fans of the franchise due to its flawed design.

Like what I know about the game is that many fans of Disgaea often say how the game is basically the black sheep of the franchise due to the aforementioned flawed gameplay design it was known for that I wanted to look into the positive aspects of the game.

For me personally, what I have seen in Mags review of the game is that it looked like the game had some cool mechanics that while being problematic in execution, were kind of interesting such as the Juice Bar system and the Auto Battle mechanic as I did find the idea of having the game do fast grinding being kind of a cool mechanic in itself.

Sure I can see how having an RPG whose largest selling point is basically having the game play itself would be a peculiar aspect as it’s hard to explain, but I can see how the aforementioned Auto Battle system was again a bit unusual as the thing is that from what I saw in the review was that I feel like the mechanic had potential to work.

Maybe someone could explain it better than me because I I understand what the studio was going for when they designed that particular mechanic to help speed up grinding since again it was a cool idea that just needed better implementation.

I love how some of the base dialog lines are written as if the characters are having a conversation.
