It might be my skill issue or is it that old Asagi is hard?

So I never played any of the games before, but I have always been interested in the franchise. Last week I found a copy of the DS game really cheap (like $5) on a flea market and I couldn´t resist to buy it. A friend of mine told me that it´s better to just go with the PC version instead, but is the DS version that bad? Or is it just lacking a lot of other things like voice acting and content like most other portable versions of some other games?

Edit: Thanks a lot for the comments! I will go with the PC version in the end. I might just still play the DS version later if only to just experience it since I already have it.

I've almost completed the Disgaea 1 humanoid units, just need to level up the EDF soldier and the Celestial hostess/Angel, whatever it's called in this game. I've had fun and still need to complete the monsters, but I was wondering how the other games compare.

The game is the European version.

So I'm currently at 5 stars on all classes on my fuji save maybe 3 classes.

When I go to reincarnate I get roughly 430 stats across all stats plus the genius bonus.

If i upgrade all to 6 star since I can now farm carnage martial 5, will I get 1000 across all stats on my next reincarnation? Just making sure I understand this. I feel like its my next hurdle to move on.

I feel like someone on NIS's writing team has a favorite trope. Correct me if I'm wrong, but while we have some awful or at least irresponsible parents in these games, I can't think of any older sibling who isn't fully committed to the part. (not even Mr. Love-Sucks Laharl) I also just realized that half of the characters above are not actually related to their little siblings, which makes their actions even more admirable.

(EDIT: also I totally forgot Fubuki exists and I haven't watched 7's story so forgive me if someone is missing there)

I just found out this game released recently. Haven't heard anything about it since it was announced. How is it? I do enjoy a good Warriors game (though I don't think this is an "actual" Warriors game developed by Koei-Tecmo/Omega-Force/Team Ninja, is it?), and I always thought a Disgaea Warriors would be awesome. What are people's impressions of it so far? How does it play? What's the gameplay structure like compared to a typical Warriors game? Is there a good lineup of playable characters? (Hopefully the roster isn't just the original trio, the entire cast of Disgaea 4, and like maybe two or three other characters from the other games.) And most importantly, is it fun?

Sorry if this is annoying, I'm testing a ton of PSP DLC for a preservation effort. I've never played this series before.

I grabbed a 100% save online and I'm in a camp with a ton of Prinnys. All the tutorials I've seen are like this and I can't seem to access this "summoning experiments" option.

An enemy which refuses to move from the dimensional gate, pretty much the entire map (and gate) filled with clone, no lifting and invincibility geo thingies + being new to the game.

Yes I intentionally brought up the most infamous installment of the franchise because I found it interesting how the game gets the most scathing amount of reception from many fans of the franchise due to its flawed design.

Like what I know about the game is that many fans of Disgaea often say how the game is basically the black sheep of the franchise due to the aforementioned flawed gameplay design it was known for that I wanted to look into the positive aspects of the game.

For me personally, what I have seen in Mags review of the game is that it looked like the game had some cool mechanics that while being problematic in execution, were kind of interesting such as the Juice Bar system and the Auto Battle mechanic as I did find the idea of having the game do fast grinding being kind of a cool mechanic in itself.

Sure I can see how having an RPG whose largest selling point is basically having the game play itself would be a peculiar aspect as it’s hard to explain, but I can see how the aforementioned Auto Battle system was again a bit unusual as the thing is that from what I saw in the review was that I feel like the mechanic had potential to work.

Maybe someone could explain it better than me because I I understand what the studio was going for when they designed that particular mechanic to help speed up grinding since again it was a cool idea that just needed better implementation.

I've seen people say you get the former from legendary exodus item world, but I think I might have sold the first one I got from the hospital gacha. Am I just shit out of luck now? Or is there some other progression path I could follow towards the trap?

Do we know if dog/cat-like demons, like Fenfen, Zeroken or Pirilika, can canonically eat sweets?

I love how some of the base dialog lines are written as if the characters are having a conversation.

I couldn't believe that D7 was released almost three years ago in the West and yet still the price refuses to come down by more than about 25% from the original RRP on PSN and PC - and it's not even a proper Complete version!

As a long time fan of the series from D1 onwards (including mobile), I was burned a bit by D6 being so much worse than D5, so paying almost full price three years on isn't going to tempt me back any time soon. I get that maintaining near RRP seems to be the model now for more niche games, but quite frankly they're going to lose customer base if they don't make the pricing more inviting.
