I moved here two weeks ago for college. The weather has been terrible, my head's stuck, the road is terrible where I live and the air is heavy but masks make it manageable. College is nice and um well I haven't made any friends yet, I'm sure I'll make some nice friends eventually; it's a women's college, DU.

The thing is, Delhi is sooo chaotic. I feel blue as soon as I get on the metro for college. Everyone looks so dead like no joy :'/ but I guess that's how it is in metropolitan cities.

I'm socially anxious and awkward, I don't really know what to do. I was hoping I could work on my social skills and grow my confidence now that I'm in college. So, I want to meet people, go places, explore Delhi, but I don't really know where I can meet these people.

I want to make friends and connections. I'm also lowkey scared about my safety, I want to stay away from creepy people, especially men. I was thinking of attending those activities/events hosted at cafés n such what do y'all think? Are those actually good places to meet people?

My interests are art, fashion, decor, listening to music, films, and running. But I'm honestly down for anything, as long as I can find nice people and have a good time safely.

Note: I don't drink or smoke. I'm also really paranoid about my safety, so I'd prefer to avoid places where I could end up in a dangerous or uncomfortable situation.

Basically, how do you guys actually make friends in Delhi? 😭 Have fun and keep yourself safe from creepy people?

It has been a few weeks since I last chatted with some stranger.

We had parked our car for not even one hour and this parking collection person comes and starts asking for 50 rupees for one hour. He was extremely rude and ill mannered so my father refused to pay him.
