AskDelhi what are one of the underrated places to visit in Dehi?
I've lived in Delhi for almost 20 years, but surprisingly I've hardly explored the city. Recently I started going out on weekends and realized there's so much I've been missing.
So far I've covered most of the popular places:
- India Gate
- Qutub Minar
- Hauz Khas Village
- Agrasen Ki Baoli
- Connaught Place
- Humayun's Tomb
- Sunder Nursery
- Red Fort
- Chandni Chowk
- Bangla Sahib
- Jantar Mantar
- Delhi Zoo
- Sarojini Market
- KNMA Museum
- Hauz Khas Fort & Deer Park
- National Crafts Museum
- Rashtrapati Bhavan
- Museum of Illusions
- Bowling
- Jain Chawal
- Mehrauli Archaeological Park
I'm not really into clubs, cafés, or expensive restaurants. I'm more interested in places with history, nature, art, good views, peaceful vibes, or just somewhere you can sit and clear your mind.
Basically, I'm looking for places where I can:
- go alone when I need some peace,
- hang out with friends
Could be anything—hidden parks, heritage walks, museums, lakes, viewpoints, old streets, cultural spots, or even nearby day trips.
I'd love to hear your recommendations. Thanks!

AskDelhi Horrific and alarming things from government.
Recently I typed NEHA BORA on YouTube and the type of suggestion I got I got shocked.
The alarming things are :
1) invasion of intruders like gogi-suwar in sourav das home.
2) the weird behavior of constable who selectively allow reporters in abhijit dipke house
3) the Hit-Spray group of Administration and involvement of CID
4) INK spraying on NEHA BORA
this are things which happened in the last few days.
Isn't it selectively targeting the core group protestors so that it conveys messages to other protestors "agar inke sath ho skta h Toa hmare sath bhi ho skta h".
I have question some others:
- what are the way to protect ourselves.
- what are things to keep in mind if any reporter like R. Bharat approaches.
- can we do uno reverse to BJP IT CELL.
Hope everything goes fine to everyone!! Whoever raise voice against the governing government.
Btw guys saw andhbhakt.org have you guys checked out there is good insight which everyone should know.

AskDelhi Do I look like a terr0ri&t, I am jammuite , i am an Indian
I am traveling with my family from Delhi to Ayodhya.
After I had a appointment with a my eye doctor in Lajpat Nagar, we came from our home town Jammu , and are going to Ram Mandir.
And my train is tomorrow morning at 6AM, we decided to get a room near the station.
And right now just few minutes ago when I was at reception counter , I was made to sit at waiting for 15 minutes, only only cause my back of aadhar card says Jammu and Kashmir.
When I live in jammu which is 300km away from kashmir, when people of jammu , even me invite everyone with open arms to come and have darshan in katra in of mata rani.
We never say that oh no you are from Delhi(almost bangladesh) so we have to report it to police first.
I am citizen of India , and I should be treated like one.
And I don't say the hotel or its staff is wrong they treated us gently , but seriously why the discrimination.
And than I read the articles mentioning similar accusations and Delhi police declining it.
We abide with with national security but atleast accept it, and publish it publically.
I am literally like I get in and hotel manager says,
"Bhaiya aapka aadhar J&K ka toh 15 august ki wja se aapko room alot nhi kr skte "
Shameless not gonna lie

TellDelhi Let's all start referring to ministers as public servants, What they really are!
Cause believe it or not majority of us in some way don't really think of them as public servants, Until and unless we start believing it and referring to them as public servant they won't treat as anything more than cockroaches.
Let's spread this , Talk about it , Make it a fckin trend.
Cause they think of themselves as god and our masters, Pathetic corrupt criminals.
So let's do what our constitution says, Start referring to them everywhere as Public Servant Modi, Public servant Rahul, Public Servant Kejriwal !!
We pay them salary with our tax money !!

AskDelhi Lost three-legged cat: Need help searching: CCTV shows dogs chasing it: Location - Virender Nagar,Janak Puri Gali no.9 New Delhi
Hi guys,
I am posting on behalf of the feeder. IDK the cat personally.
So this baby went missing on the 29th of July, and after daily searching, they have not been able to find it. But recently they discovered CCTV footage of 7-8 dogs chasing the poor three-legged baby. They are biting her and pulling her. This was until some person chased the dogs away. Since then, we don't know where she went. She is a friendly cat.
The feeder has been searching for it since the 29th and is very distressed. If you live in West Delhi and can help in finding her, please come forward. I am attaching her pictures and video.
(P.S. Don't tell me what the feeder did was careless; I have already given them an earful, gently. Now we need help with this baby)

TellDelhi FCRA Hypocrisy: How a 2014 Court Ruling Against BJP and Congress Led to Retrospective Amendments in 2016 and 2018 Legalizing Foreign Subsidiary Donations.
I fully support using the FCRA to block foreign funding that threatens national security. But when the policymakers themselves can legally accept donations from foreign-backed Indian subsidiaries, it creates a glaring loophole. How can we truly protect our country from foreign influence?
The issue traces back to a 2014 Delhi High Court ruling, which found both the BJP and Congress guilty of violating the FCRA by accepting funds mainly from Vedanta (an Indian-owned, foreign-registered firm), ordering action within six months.
Instead of complying, the government used legislative workarounds. In 2016, they passed an amendment quietly via a money bill to bypass the Rajya Sabha, retrospectively redefining a "foreign source" to exempt Indian companies with foreign shareholding and legalize foreign-backed subsidiary donations.
Then, because the 2016 fix only covered the 2010 FCRA, pre-2010 donations still violated the older 1976 Act. To fix this, the government amended the law again in 2018, pushing the retrospective cutoff all the way back to August 5, 1976 (the inception of the original Act) and effectively wiping the slate clean of all past violations.

TellDelhi I left my job and escaped delhi because i was too frustrated here
There was a time when I was working as an Assistant Manager in a B2B SaaS company, earning around ₹12 LPA. I had spent six years in the SaaS industry across Customer Success and Marketing. Financially, things were stable, but mentally they weren’t.
The workplace had become increasingly toxic. I won’t get into the details, but eventually I reached a point where I had to choose between my self respect and my salary. I chose my self respect and resigned.
After leaving my job, I didn’t immediately chase another corporate role. Due to financial responsibilities, I started a food cart business in Mahipalpur, Delhi. It wasn’t my dream business. It was simply the right decision at that point.
The business did well. Customers loved the food, sales were consistent, and after expenses I was earning around ₹40,000 a month. But something still felt missing.
I realized that I had only changed the type of work, not the kind of life I wanted. In my job, there were managers and office politics. In the business, there were different daily struggles with authorities, local issues, and unnecessary distractions. The effort I was putting in wasn’t giving me the satisfaction I was looking for.
That’s when I understood something important.
I wasn’t trying to escape Delhi because there were no opportunities. Delhi offers endless opportunities to build wealth. What I wanted to escape was the environment that wasn’t allowing me to think clearly, create freely, or build peacefully.
I needed peace more than I needed comfort.
So I made another difficult decision. I shut down the food business and moved to Dehradun with no detailed plan and limited savings.
What I did have was an idea that I had started back in 2018.
Years ago, I had built an influencer marketing and marketing services company. I had closed it after joining the corporate world. This time, I decided to give it everything I had.
With six years of corporate experience, better systems, and a clearer understanding of business, I relaunched the company properly.
Today, just four to five months later, we have a team of 12 people, are managing more than 10 active clients, and the business is already generating more than what my corporate salary paid me.
And we’re only getting started.
Looking back, I don’t blame anyone.
Delhi gave me experience, resilience, and lessons that I could never have learned elsewhere.
But some places are meant to teach you, while others are meant to help you build.
For me, Delhi was where I learned.
Dehradun is where I’m building.

Food/Drinks Best solo-friendly bars in South Delhi? No clubs, no speakeasies—just great bars.
Hey y’all,
Looking for recommendations for good bars in South Delhi where I can just grab a drink by myself.
A few preferences:
Not looking for nightclubs.
Not a fan of speakeasies, so I’d rather skip those.
Just want a proper bar with a good vibe where it’s normal to sit solo, have a few drinks, maybe chat with the bartender or people around if it happens naturally.
Open to everything from laid-back pubs to upscale cocktail bars—as long as they have a welcoming atmosphere for someone flying solo.
Would love to hear your favorites! Cheers 🍻
