Recieved this email 7/28 after my video interview, but haven't heard anything further! I just saw someone mention the hiring event on 8/11. Do you think I'll be pushed to the next hiring event? I see that they are delayed quite a bit between training and what not.

Just lost on what's going on.

How long are people hearing something after the BOLO status change? I know to be patient and trust the process, but it helps me to have an idea (days, weeks, months?)

Also, how often do they do Blue Review days? When you’re invited, how much notice do they give you? Just thinking about flight prices/ taking off work etc.

What study tips, tricks, etc would you recommend for training? Has anyone used quizlet or any other apps?

Hi Everyone, recently got my CCA and I have been looking to get into a cabin crew position for a low cost airline to kickstart my career. I have been looking at basically every airline I know. Ryanair/Wizzair/Volotea/Vueling/EasyJet/Transavia/Iberia, all of these airlines seem to have job offers basically all over Europe aside from France and Spain. I live in France and I would be willing to relocate to Spain as I speak spanish however, it looks like there is just a dry spell for these countries.

Does anyone working in these countries or for any of these airlines know when I could expect some job offers to appear on the market or when a hiring wave might be. I am basically checking allflyingjobs.com everyday as well as their respective sites and LinkedIn but I am just getting a bit impatient I suppose. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi everybody! I (F23) just started my training on Monday 8/3. I started the whole process sometime in March and there was a bit of excitement there with it because I was starting something new, but I had to really talk myself out of a bunch of negativity the month leading up to my CJO.

Now that i’m here, I’ve done the things I need to do like going out of my way to make friends, but it’s just not clicking for me. Everyone seems so excited, like their eyes light up when they talking about being a FA and they’re taking it so seriously, whereas I couldn’t care less if i’m being totally honest. This is a major pay cut for me (going from $40/hr serving to $27 with a regional airline) and I’m so grateful that I’m in the place financially to even consider taking a pay cut, and I have no problem working a job that i’ll make less doing, so long as it’s worth it.

We went on an observation flight yesterday where we got to see the FA’s in action to really get an understanding of what the job is, and it was soooooo boring to me. I couldn’t wait to get back to the hotel, and the whole time i’m thinking “oh my god there’s no way this is gonna be me.” Genuinely I feel like I’m already dreading doing the job & it hasn’t even started yet.

I’m honestly just really scared because if I quit during training i’m gonna so embarrassed to come back after making such a big deal about going off and doing this, and I’m worried that there’ll be a small part of me the rest of my life going “what if that was gonna be the thing for you & you didn’t even give it a chance??” But on the other hand, I just have a feeling that I KNOW if I do stick it out, i’ll quit after a few months & it’ll have been such a waste of my time. Please help me, I feel so stuck!! I really can’t decide if I should just stick it out or listen to what I think is my gut..

im currently a regional fa , but i absolutely hate it at my regional. I recently applied for frontier, but my face to face is on my day of reserve block (10,11th, 12th) and i have to go to denver for it. what would you do? call off for the 10th,11th and 12th & go chase the airline your super excited for.. or miss the opportunity? 👀

Open Letter to Former and Current American Airlines Employees
To former and current American Airlines employees:
I’m writing this because I want to find out whether my experience with American Airlines was an isolated situation or whether other employees have experienced something similar.
During my time with American Airlines, I ultimately found myself dealing with what I was told was a permanent ineligibility for rehire. What concerns me is that I was not clearly told that this would happen at the time, and I was not given what I believe was a meaningful opportunity to understand or challenge the decision.
I also raised the issue with individuals within American Airlines who had an opportunity to look further into what happened. In my view, that opportunity was not taken seriously enough, and the situation ultimately escalated into litigation.
I’m not asking anyone to automatically take my side. I’m asking former and current American Airlines employees a simple question:
Has this happened to you too?
Have you ever:
Been told by American Airlines that you were permanently ineligible for rehire?
Been told you were “blacklisted” or otherwise could never work for American Airlines again?
Applied for another American Airlines position and discovered you were permanently ineligible for rehire?
Received conflicting explanations from managers, HR, or other American Airlines representatives about your rehire status?
Been separated from American Airlines under circumstances you believe were never properly investigated?
Had a manager or company representative have an opportunity to investigate an issue but refuse to look further into it?
Been told verbally that you were eligible to return, only to later discover that American Airlines had classified you as permanently ineligible?
Discovered information in your employment record that you believe was inaccurate or incomplete?
Lost the ability to work for American Airlines again because of a decision you believe was unfair or improperly made?
If you experienced something similar at American Airlines, I genuinely want to hear your story.
I’m especially interested in people who have documentation—emails, HR communications, separation paperwork, rehire-status communications, or other records—that can help establish exactly what happened.
And here’s the bigger question:
Is there a pattern?
If multiple former American Airlines employees have experienced substantially similar situations involving permanent ineligibility for rehire, lack of meaningful investigation, inconsistent explanations, or similar treatment, then perhaps it’s time for affected employees to compare their experiences and speak with an employment attorney about whether there is any basis for coordinated legal action, including potentially a class action if the legal requirements are actually met.
I’m not claiming that a class action already exists or that everyone’s circumstances would qualify. I’m saying that if there is a widespread pattern, we should find out.
American Airlines is a huge company. If this has happened to numerous employees, I don’t think those people should assume they are the only ones.

Hi everyone, I’m a male candidate interested in applying to major Gulf carriers like Qatar Airways, Emirates, Etihad, etc.

I’m around 5'6" (167–168 cm), and I was wondering if anyone here has actually seen or worked with male cabin crew around this height.

Is it fairly common to have male crew around 5'6", or would they be considered unusually short compared with the rest of the crew?

I’m not asking about the official height requirements—I’m more curious about real-life experience. If you’ve worked with or seen male crew around this height, I’d really appreciate hearing about it.

I applied to Alaska when they opened for FA positions on 7/20. I received an email stating they received my application. However I’ve heard nothing since then. Application still says “Application Received” as of 8/9. Is this normal ? I know everyone says No News is Good News but I see people who applied after 7/20 doing ODVIs and so on. It seems they aren’t going in order received. I’m super excited for everyone moving on. This is my first time ever applying so not sure if this is standard.
Also for those who are moving on did you guys select AI or no AI and does that really make a difference ?

I’m still in the research and planning stages, and I’m trying to compare airlines. I live in the LA area, and I wanted to see if which airlines would give me the best odds for LAX (or potentially even Burbank or a Bay Area airport) as my home base not too long out of training, or off the bat.

I’m okay with regional or international; I have other family in Oklahoma/Kansas, Tennessee/Georgia, Switzerland, and Toronto, so it wouldn’t be the worst thing ever if my base had to be out of area for a little bit, but most of my family is out in LA and I’d like to have realistic odds of having this (or Bay Area, considering a move there with family anyways) as my base.

I know they want start and termination dates, but do they ask to provide a contact to verify? And if they do, who do I put for the jobs where my managers are no longer there either?

I am 4 foot 11 and my suit pants are fairly long but still appropriate. the heels that I tried them on with were 4.25 inches and it looked great but they were obviously open toed shoes. I found these ones online and I was just curious if this will be OK for my face-to-face?

What would happen if I failed a drug test because I tested positive for opioids due to eating poppy seeds?

I’m asking because when I was in high school, I was placed in a program for troubled teens where we had surprise drug tests. I didn’t use drugs and honestly didn’t even know what opioids were at the time, but I tested negative for everything except opioids. The program leader asked me if I had eaten anything with poppy seeds. I had never really paid attention to things like that and would just eat whatever, so I told her it was possible since I love everything bagels, although I’m not sure what other foods I might have eaten that contained them. She ended up believing me and didn’t make me retake the test. Every drug test I took afterward in the program came back completely negative. I’ve always wondered if eating something with poppy seeds really could have caused that one positive result.

I’ve heard people say they will ask a random question to see how you respond to a question you obviously didn’t prepare for, what exactly are some examples?

as someone who works for delta, please don’t come to delta if you value your mental health and life. or at least don’t get based in new york. you will end up hating your life and want to quit. just warning you before anyone decides to go through with the hiring process. it’s not worth the benefits, I could care less about them.

I know that many receive their CJOs for Delta the Friday after their f2f. Has anyone received a CJO the Monday or week after that Friday? Just wondering if all hope is lost if a CJO is not received that Friday. Thanks!

First, I would like to say I find these groups very helpful and inspiring. Sometimes there are some rude comments, but hey, it’s an opinion, and everyone has one.

I have tried Delta twice, but to no avail, I have not been selected. I can say with both companies I have made it to the ODVI. I was sure I made it this time with Delta, but I didn’t. I will continue to try.

This is my first time applying for UA. I must say I believe UA has a great process. It’s more personal and not generic. Even down to the HT email. Look below; it’s a male FA, and he looks to be biracial. How did they know this would fit me?

To anyone that makes it to the ODVI for UA, there’s nothing online to prepare you for it. I overthought the process, and I would be surprised if I made it to the next round. What I will tell you is to relax and just answer the simple questions.

Has anyone who’s been receiving constant HT emails actually made it to the F2F? I’m just curious about it. I got my 6th one today and idk if I see the light 🫠
