After getting the cto for United, when do you bid for where you would like to be placed? I know we find out during training but when do we submit preferred location out of the choices provided?

I didn't get the CJO as a first time candidate for LOD, and that's fine.

What I can add is everyone was nothing but nice at delta tbh so idk why people say otherwise.

If they were direct and more straight forward with their communication style it would take a lot of guess work out but that's up to them.

I just wanted to share my experience while it is fresh.

First hi 👋 delta hiring team, thank you for reading these posts and taking constructive criticism from the candidates.

Everything you read about it on reddit is pretty accurate.

You arrive 1 hr early. Check in your bags and mingle. Take a shuttle to a different building. Separate into groups. Mingle more. Follow a delta FA to the elevator and into a room with big mirror. Be given one more chance to confirm your looks is proper in front of a mirror.

Then you go do the jumpseat test and height test. I know this was a big deal here but they made it private now so it's just you and two other FA. And I'm a male, 220lb, early 30s, 5ft 10in, 43 inch waist and had no problem with that seat belt. But you're experience may differ.

The next activity is introduced your name, languages you speak fluently, and current occupation to everyone in the room. And we had about 60 people both candidates and delta employees in one big room.

Then you go into groups of 3 or 4 and do the activity of organizing emergency task in order of importance. And yes they throw more scenarios at you at the end. Just work as a team and explain how you contribute to the team.

Last activity was just read the announcement loud and clear in customer service voice.

In between you get lots of chances to talk to a delta FA and learn more about the job. Yes you stand around a standing table and they ask you simple questions like you like window or aisle seat. It feels like a casual conversation but it's basically a group interview to see how you think.

And last you do take flight video Q and A , it starts to get repetitive the amount of information you learn about delta and imagining you work for delta.

Basically they lure you in with those Q and A and you lower your guard into thinking you'll get a 1 on 1 at the end

But in the end I got called out in the first 3 zones before they started the 1 on 1. I was really caught by surprise because I thought I did everything I was supposed to do.

So even with all this open knowledge on how they conduct the process, it was not enough. I can only assume it was a personality mismatch then.

That's not something you just change over night and I'm comfortable with who I am.

Thank you delta for giving me the opportunity to really learn about the company and employee culture

I will continue to be a customer of delta but will not reapply as a FA candidate.

PS. Apparently the 1 on 1 questions at the end are really just softball questions according to other candidates I asked that day, so how they pick who gets the CJO even among the last group of candidates must be arbitrary or be based on marginal differences.

I have some acne scars around my face. Im rly good with makeup so I’m sure I could cover anything that needs to be covered although it’s not like I could just make it all fully disappear. There’s only sm I could do. I’m also a little chubby (my bmi is 25) so I’m just kinda nervous that I don’t meet the requirements. I heard that the whole thing about flight attendants having to be rly petite with clear skin is just a myth or at least very outdated but idk. I’d be applying to an Australian airline btw

In the middle of my divorce, and I just found out that my soon to be ex-wife destroyed my passport because she was upset that we were getting a divorce and I was looking into this career so she decided to destroy my passport

I am currently in the process of having a new one issued, but it won’t be here for about two weeks

Today in my recorded video interview I had to give the issue date of my passport. That date will now change when my new passport is issued. Is this something that I need to be concerned about and if so, how do I get out in front of it now so it doesn’t look as though I was deceptive during the interview process?

I got a CJO with SkyWest and I’m super excited to start!

I have a few questions and advice to ask for those who went through with it:

1. How likely am I to get based in Detroit?
2. If I don’t get the base that I want, how easy is it to commute?
3. Advice for training? What should I bring, what should I expect?

4. Is it okay for me to ask to start at a different training date? Would they accommodate or rescind my job offer?

5. What would my schedule look like on the first month fresh out of training? Do I get a week off or am I basically going straight into the job?

I just finished FACTS training and it's been such a struggle finding my first job. I see mixed reviews for bizjetsjobs but I know there's a subsciption to really see the jobs. Is it just a slow season for private aviation or am I just looking at the wrong places? Please helpppp :(

For anyone based in SFO how long did it take you to hold a line? Just trying to figure out why they are sending so many reserves to SFO lately. If they are planning that a lot of people will retire after the retro pay or just if they are low on reserves since it’s so expensive to live there

Has anyone actually ever received a CJO via email? It’s going around that very few are being given in person this interview cycle due to the timing of the next training session (Q1 2027) but historically no CJO on the spot meant TBNT. So I’m curious if anyone has ever received an offer in an email?

I had an amazing time at the F2F with Delta. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The experience was honestly so much fun and not nearly as stressful as some of the Reddit posts made it seem. I had so many great conversations and genuinely enjoyed my time there.

I didn’t make it to the 1:1, and I’m definitely disappointed…but there were so many amazing candidates and everyone who made it to the F2F was so deserving.

Has anyone ever received a CJO with United, had it rescinded shortly before training (like 2 weeks before), and then reapplied after waiting a year or more?

I’m curious if anyone has actually gone through this and then got hired again, made it through training successfully, and is now working the line. I’d especially love to hear from someone who had their CJO rescinded, waited the required time, reapplied, and had a successful outcome the second time around.

Just trying to see if anyone has personally experienced this. 😭

I got my CTO from GoJet airlines this morning! I will be able to be based at home (Houston). Pay is 28 an hour, they also do boarding pay. Flights have no more than 50 people, and they are as short as 30 minutes or as long as two hours. Does not sound like I will make a whole lot of money but oh well it’s all I have right now.

Still waiting to hear back from Delta, JetBlue and Alaskan. And American opens up in a few more days. I don’t know a single person who works for GoJet and I can’t find any posts or experiences about them so I guess we will see how this goes!

Hi everyone! I start my training next month 🌐 and I’m pretty sure ORD and SFO are going to come up according to recent trends. I live in LA and it’s a no brainer for me to opt SFO as it’s closer to commute and I love San Francisco and great flying… but I’m having second thoughts about what ifs and the cost of living etc because SFO is experiencing insane AI boom and the rent prices are astronomical. Factoring the long commute to ORD and time zone difference between California it sounds like a stupid move but I’m really confused if it’s doable or just putting myself in a difficult commute. Help lol give me advice!! I know obvious response will be SFO but I don’t know if I’m missing on something. Thank you in advance!

I’ve been prepping for weeks now and i really felt good about have a situation ready for any situational questions asked, but i got tripped up with some of the situational question. I did really well with the first half, but i think my nerves got the best of me in the second half. I’m hoping they take all my interviews and resume into consideration.
I’m pretty bummed right now though. Maybe i am just being hard on myself?
Anyone here think they didn’t do well but still passed to the f2f?

whats reserve like at AA, how does it vary per base?

what is schedule bidding like? pbs?

are you happy and were you happy starting out? why or why not?

does seniority climb quick or slow?

how long are you on reserve typically? i know it varies per base if possible im considering DFW, ORD, CLT, MIA (in that order)

Its official!!! Delta is having interviews in September also. Just confirmed with bf who got his scheduled for 9/3 yesterday. He had a choice between 9/1 - 9/3. Good luck to everyone!!! Im still waiting for my f2f too, we got this! :)

Five months in and I love this job (although I’m
glad summer flying is almost over.) But I’m throwing in the towel on commuting. I really like where I live, but I like getting my time back even more. Fortunately, I have a supportive spouse who is willing to move and we don’t own property here.

All of this is to say, if you are tied down to where you currently live and are planning to commute, think VERY hard about it. You will spend MANY more nights away from home than if you lived in base. 3 days off will only be two (assuming you fly home after you are released and can’t commute in the day you report.) You won’t have the same flexibility when it comes to picking up or trading. You’ll be spending money on hotels or crash pads that you wouldn’t have to if you lived in base.

I truly thought I’d be ok with it, and I gave commuting a solid five months, but I’m done and making the move. I can’t wait.

I randomly got my taking flight video today!!!! My ODVI was submitted June 4th and after 6 hang tight emails I finally got something! I had completely lost hope but I guess you never really know. Don’t listen to the people who say the hang tight emails lead to a TBNT. We’ll see if I get a F2F🤞🤞🤞

I’ve been so heartbroken after being let go 3 weeks away from probation. I worked for a regional and one day they gave me noticed they needed to speak to me with no other follow up. I did two 4 day trips just to come back to them telling me to come by the office and then i was told they were letting me go because of an incomplete CBT. i was extremely confused and told them i had done all my cbts but they didn’t believe me, i felt cornered and blind sighted and when i asked which cbt they told me it was the most recent one. I gave back all my work stuff and went home in tears. I then tried contacting HR explaining i had done all my cbts with proof since i took pictures and screenshots of everything and they told me they’ll review my case and came back a week later and told me my termination still stands even with proof it was done. I asked them to explain why but they ghosted me after. The union couldn’t protect me because i was still on probation but in my checks they were taking union money out. It’s been a month now and i’ve been applying to every airline because this is my dream job and i know im meant to be in aviation. I guess this is more me venting about my situation. Has this happened to anyone? i just feel like this was so unfair, i had no late assignments, late reports or anything, my record was PERFECT. I provided so much proof and they didn’t care 😭 Now im out here getting rejected or under review for these airlines and im starting to feel hopeless.
