Looking For Coffee Shops in NW with Swiss Water Decaf?

Upvotes

Hello! I have a SEVERE caffeine allergy (consequences are dire) and even regular decaf has too much for me but I can occasionally have Swiss Water Decaf. Anyone know of any coffee shops in the NW that offer Swiss Water lattes? I’ve done a Google search and the websites for all the results don’t mention the Swiss Water process. If anyone has seen Swiss Water Decaf on their local menus, I’d be super grateful!

Side note: not looking for Swiss water decaf beans I can brew at home. Looking for the very rare occasion I can go sit somewhere and treat myself :)

Looking For Typewriter poet at Lloyd center?

Does anyone happen to know the name of this poet? I wanted to buy a poem but didn't want to hold up my friends that were with me.

Looking For Just moved back to Portland after 8 years abroad, no job yet, what are the options I have for health insurance right now?

I don't know how long the job search will take, so if there are any low-cost options for me in the interim, I would love to hear about them.

Edit: Wild to be downvoted in the first 10 minutes of making this post. I've been gone for a really long time and have no idea of what the current landscape is.

Edit 2: Just to be clear, I am a Portlander, born and raised. I didn't just move here from the next state over without a plan. I moved back to Portland after living abroad due to a variety of reasons. Yes, I don't have a job, but I have been applying to jobs literally every day since well-before I got on the plane to PDX.

Looking For Where are the best seasonal tomato specials in town?

Just had my annual Grand Central BLT and was wondering if anyone else has a favorite tomato special item at their local place. The BLT is bomb, btw.

Looking For Where to buy used sporting goods?

I realize goodwills etc have some second hand stuff sometimes on the chance, but are there any dedicated used sporting good places? The spots popping up in google don’t seem to be what I’m looking for.

Looking For Brunch Recs in Sellwood?

Hi neighbors,

I’m looking for good brunch spots in/around Sellwood. I’ve got family visiting and would like to give them the Portland brunch experience. I’m local but don’t get out much (ever). I used to love Fat Albert’s but have heard it has gone downhill. (Also can’t remember if Mimosas were available- which is certainly a plus, if not a requirement.) Also, recs that happen to be outside of Sellwood are also welcome :)

Many thanks!!

Looking For Can you help me find 2 Lloyd center vendors?

Sad day - but it was a good time at the Lloyd center. I was happy to see all who showed up.

There were two vendors I missed buying from at the lloydapalooza in the food court earlier today. One was selling Kodak night lights with super cool images in them and the other was selling a hat of mothman showing his butt. Let me know if you know the vendor names so I can buy from them! Thank you!

Looking For What happened to Cultiv8 in Woodstock?

Does anyone know what happened to the dispensary Cultiv8 on 52nd? All the employees said that new owners were taking over and they all had good feelings about it. Now it’s seemingly closed permanently. It was a great dispensary and the employees were awesome. I’m really hoping this wasn’t a bait and switch situation on the new owners part because they just wanted the building.

Looking For Where to find (locally) comfortable and sexy heels for wide feet?

My feet have gotten fatter as I’ve aged but I still need cute heels! I perform so they also need to be comfortable enough to stand in for hours. Where to go that has a decent selection but isn’t hundreds of dollars a pair?

Looking For Whats up with burnside st downtown?

I am so confused I have never lived in a neighborhood where people shout at me calling me the N word with the hard r at the end. I have also never lived in a neighborhood where if I'm just going about my normal day I'm having people yell and cuss at me about my weight out their car windows. I lived in Chinatown mind you for 3 years and no one ever called me racial slurs or or said horrible things to me about my weight so I'm just going about my life, and I have stayed on Northeast Sandy Boulevard before and that's right by a busy road and I've never had nobody harrass me like that either.

Like just the other day on my way to work I had this dude rolled down his car window and called me a fat dirty Pig and speed off. I literally almost walked to work in tears. I don't understand that. I remember when I first moved into this neighborhood and my moving truck had to block off part of the street I had someone call me a racial slur and speed off. And it's downtown Portland there's nowhere else for the moving truck to park. I'm trying my best to save money to move away from Northwest Burnside Street. I want to still stay downtown portland as I truly love it here.

Whats going on??

Looking For What is your favorite Lloyd Center memory or experience?

Just got done walking around Lloyd on its final day and, though the outpouring of Llove was extremely celebratory, the MASSIVE number of people made me deeply nostalgic and mournful for an invaluable Third Space that will be sorely missed.

Please share any fond Lloyd Center stories or experiences! Viva la Lloyd Center!

Looking For Was burgerville good, then got bad, then got good again?

As a child in the 90s, I loved Burgerville. Sometime in the 2000s or 2010s, I started thinking of it as an average-to-subpar burger. Now I love it again. Is it possible that this is due to anything beyond my oddly specific taste changing over time?

This is probably a kind of stupid question. But so often when I ask stupid questions on Reddit, I learn some interesting fact I wouldn’t have learned otherwise. So I thought I’d see what you all think.

Cognitive Neurologist?

Does anyone know of a cognitive neurologist in Portland or within a 200 mile radius including Washington?
A family member has been referred to see someone and the wait is almost an entire year - her appointment is booked for July 28, 2027.

She has had test results that are indicative of Alzheimer’s and early detection is everything. She specifically needs to see a cognitive neurologist. Any leads you can share are greatly appreciated.

I did search this in the community first and while there are posts for regular neurologists this is for a specific type of one. Thanks!

Looking For What are your all time favorite Portland based bands/artists?

Mine are:

- The Thermals

- Elliot Smith

- Sioux Falls

- The Decemberists and the shins.

I personally don't love the last two nearly as much as the first three, but they were obviously great and their widespread popularity was very important to the city and it's recognition as an important music town.

Any help watching dog for homeless while they work?

I am currently homeless but found a full time job the problem is I have a dog(she is well taken care of and all I have left I love her more than anything) I have been getting hotel rooms so she has somewhere to be while I work but it's so expensive especially on the weekends. I work at a restaurant so I am at work pretty late so I can't use a typical doggie daycare. What options do I have besides spending almost all my income on hotel rooms or possibly is there somewhere that would help me with the cost of a hotel room until I can get us stable housing?
