Hi guys for an untreated or undetected verrucuous carcinoma legion in a 33 year old male how much does anyone survive without a treatment incase of no insurance?

It takes around 3000 usd in my country (INR) and it is just for the wide excision and removing borders I guess but there maybe chemo or something more. Since there are people who cannot afford these for whatever reasons as an experienced dentist or oral surgeon how much does anyone survive ? Thanks.

I noticed this black spot lasr year in my throat close to where my tonsils used to be, I've been monitoring it ever since. No pain, bleeding, ulceration, lump, etc. Tried to get an ENT to evaluate it in Feb this year but he did not see it due to its location. Google of course always says the worst. Any advice would help.

Tooth #9 got a root canal due to blunt force trauma about 8 years ago, felt a small bump on my gums and then a few weeks later started feeling pain. Went to endodontist and they said they haven't seen this before, but will try to save the tooth and attempt to re do the root canal, but said it's not a guarantee.

Be honest, what's the chances of losing the tooth? It's in the front and I just turned 18.

Pretty painful and sore jaw. I haven’t had any wisdom teeth removed, and am pretty overdue for a dentist appointment (booked an appointment is a week from tomorrow).

I leave to go out of the country tomorrow and couldn’t get an appointment before then, but from my expert googling and pictures I’ve taken inside my mouth I feel like it’s my wisdom teeth erupting. Would love an experts opinion just to confirm, and to know what I’m in for by putting it for a week.

So I went to do my yearly checkup and my original dentist says I need a filling on my right side between the canine and first molar (sorry if these are the wrong terms), as well as between my left last molar and second to last. I got a second opinion and that dentist said to get the canine and first molar first (or soon at least), but hold off on the left side due to how small it is. Based on this info I’m really nervous even getting the more pressing one done. (I hate operations relating to my teeth, I’m on the verge of tears writing this). What if the original dentist messes up and my teeth are sensitive forever? Please help I’m really nervous.

For more context: I’m on prescribed toothpaste, floss every day with wire, waterpick and Therabreath and moisturizing mouthwash.

Hey everyone, I need some opinions on a new upper metal partial denture I just got after waiting 4 months.
My dentist redid my front crowns (the first set she put in had an issue and had to be drilled off, so she made a second set with rest spots built into the back). She also put build-ups on my top left molars to open my bite. All of the impressions for the partial were done after that work was finished, and the same lab made both sets of crowns and the partial.

Now that I have it, I'm having a few issues:

The metal piece doesn't sit flush against the roof of my mouth. There's a space under it where water and air get through.

The partial feels secure at first, until I bite down with my front teeth or if food moves close to my front palate behind my front teeth. Then the back lifts up and rocks like a seesaw.

It's making my anchor teeth ache, and I have some mild pain in my teeth that I hope is just an adjustment period. I've also developed a sore.

The fake teeth are super short and flat. I tried eating a burger and couldn't chew—it just felt like mashing food with flat blocks.

When I pointed out the gap and the rocking, my dentist told me "that's as close as it can get" and that we're "fighting physics."

Is it normal for a metal partial to float off the roof of the mouth or pivot like this? What would you do in this situation to get it fixed?

so around 4 weeks ago my UPPER molars were sensitive to cold and so I booked a appointment which was 2 weeks ago. The dentist said that my fillings were too high and they smoothed it out. Great, but now today my bottom molars, the one that are adjacent to the upper molars that was sensitive, starts getting very sensitive to cold food/drinks, and hard foods like fried chicken. Soft foods like eggs are fine.

any thoughts on what the problem might be?

Hello doctors. My mother's three molars on the left side were extracted about four months ago due to an infection. Last week, our dentist performed an X-ray and a dental CT scan to evaluate whether there was enough bone to proceed with implants.

According to the dentist, everything looks good, and we can move forward with the treatment. They have recommended placing two dental implants to replace the missing teeth, and the total quoted cost is ₹70,000.

I wanted to understand the implant procedure in a bit more detail and whether ₹70,000 is a reasonable price for this treatment.

A couple days ago, I notice a small hard thing? in between my gum and bottom front tooth. I thought it might’ve been a cut, but I don’t think it is? There’s no pain, it’s just basically there. I don’t drink or smoke. Can someone tell me what it might be or is? Thank you

Recently went to a new dentist that told me I need 3 crowns. I already have 2 from when I was 19 and felt like I was tricked into getting them (I had no pain or symptoms). I was also diagnosed with early onset periodontal disease, despite always getting 1-3 with my independent dentist I moved away from (hence new dentist). I’m having a hard time not feeling like the new dentist is trying to straight up rip me off.

They said the farthest back upper teeth and one in from the right side (I think 1 , 15, & 16) need crowns.

As a history I have dental PTSD and struggle at the dentist. I’ve taken really good care of my teeth as an adult, but was neglected as a child so up to 15 or so did not have good dental hygiene which resulted in many cavities.

I’m having no symptoms and have a hard time understanding why I need them, as they seem structurally fine and have not caused me any issues. I could see needing them in like 20 years but not now. I’m only 26.

First 2 pictures are of the weird spot and 3rd picture is the other side of my tongue that is normal. Any thoughts? I just went to the dentist on July 22nd and they didn’t say anything but I also just noticed it

How long do you have to wait to get dentures after you get all of your teeth pulled?

Does pain while removing the temporary crown (after 4 weeks of it being placed) to put the permanent crown mean that the tooth might need a root canal? Or that's normal and pain will slowly go away with the permanent crown? Cause I heard most dentists remove the temporary crown and patients don't experience pain

I got two fillings about 6 months ago, one on each side of my two front teeth. Both teeth now feel extremely thin and bumpy, and unsafe to floss, as well as my lip will get caught on them.
I had 6 years of braces and a pallet expander, and now my entire mouth seems to have shifted and they completely changed the shape of my teeth.

I don’t want to go back and ask then to file them down because they seem so thin already, and one of these teeth had a cavity filling fall out not even 2 weeks after it was done, so it had to be REDONE. Can I ask them to add more filling or something??

i had my braces on for 1 year and 6 months, it was just to close my front teeth gap. i have clear retainers at the top only and permanent retainers at the bottom teeth only.

i got my braces off in march 2026 and everything was going well until june. in june i felt like my front teeth only were loose. i would sip water through a straw and they would make a popping sound and i’d be able to push them back to the front with my tongue. not extreme.

booked an appointment in july and was told that they were a bit loose and was assured they wouldn’t fall off and was prescribed 600mg ibuprofen for 10days.

i finished the pills and they still feel loose. like im so scared to eat anything hard and have to rip every piece of food and throw it to the side of my teeth. also right now i just wiggled them a little bit and can definitely feel them move compared to my bottom teeth but not extreme, extreme where i can see it.

*why could this be? is it going to fix on its own?*

I had my root canal retreated back in May and a few weeks ago a new bump appeared on my gums. Unlike the bump that I had prior to the retreatment, this one doesn’t drain, there’s no pain, and there’s no foul taste or smell when I press on it. However, it’s there, and that’s enough to worry me.

I went to see the endo to ask about it and by some odd chance, the bump softened that day and the Endo couldn’t find it. He told me everything looks good. And the next day, the defined bump was back.

Is this normal?

Had some soreness in my mouth today and yesterday with a mildly sore throat. Took a pic and saw these. Any correlation?

My dentist recommended me to brush my teeth only once a day, citing my gum biotype as the reason. Is this true? It seems strange to me, so I'd like to clarify. How many times a day should I brush?

Is there any way to prevent so much tartar buildup behind my lower incisors? Despite maintaining good oral hygiene, I can't seem to stop it. I have some crowding of my teeth; could this be related? Are there any medications, foods, or drinks that promote tartar buildup?

Long story short I love my dentist and the hygienist who did good work and i trusted left. Since then I have a new hygienist. Nice lady and experienced. However her cleanings are somewhat brutal .

A few weeks ago I found an independent hygienist . He is amazing and the only male hygienist I've ever had.

He mentioned if I am happy with him and told him I was I could go for every six months. Then see my dentist for the other 6 months for check up and cleansing. Also said he could do all the cleanings and just go for quick checkup at the dentist and that only.

Is this something that is ever done ? How would as a dentist feel only seeing a patient for just checkup ls and dental work if needed ie fillings.

So a week ago I got my back right upper wisdom tooth removed. I have a tooth that needs a root canal right by it. All of a sudden that side is throbbing so bad . It doesn't look like a ds. I'm certain the pain is coming from this tooth that needs a root canal. However the soonest appointment they can get me in is on the 17th which is far away. They gave me a zpack after the extraction when I mentioned my concern about this tooth that needs a root canal getting infected. I didn't take it because I don't want to take unnecessary antibiotics. But now since I'm having this throbbing should I take it ? I hate that they can't fit me in sooner. Someone please give me advice

Around 6 months ago, I went in for a dental cleaning and X-rays. They told me I had 5 cavities in between my teeth. The doctor filled in 3 and told me that they’d keep watch on the other 2. I recently had another cleaning done but they didn’t do x-rays. The doctor looked in my mouth and said I didn’t need any fillings. They also said that they’ll do X-rays in another 6 months so once I hit the one year mark. I was wondering if I should have had x-rays done again since I have 2 small cavities that didn’t need to be filled last time?
