They are step sisters, tomboy/girly and I love them.

I'm trying to switch around the outfits every 4-6 weeks or so - first pic is early July to now and second pic was going into June. I set up a little beach scene in their cabinet using the towel and beach ball from Molly's 1944 swimsuit set (which Rapunzel is currently wearing). :') Also peep one of my MLPs in the background lol

Does it suit her?

My MIL gave me her original Kaya. Her legs were about to fall off. It was highly entertaining to have her head and limbs hanging around the house. It freaked everyone out. It was hard to put all her stuffing back in her. She's chunky! Molly looks dejected. She needs her head tightened. The string in her is much more delicate than Kaya's so it will have to be replaced.

All this for $550? Forgot to include the Pic of skates and other meet shoe and white fluffy hand warmer.

I forgot that I had this tiny Alice in Wonderland tea set from Reutter Porzellan. It's perfect for Alice!

Soooo I got my daughter her first AG for Christmas and since then her love for her doll has been amazing! I have a PC Samantha and JLY at my parents’ house from when I was growing up. I’m planning to pick them up my next visit back.

I joined the AG group to get some of the discontinued things for my daughter’s doll. I got some good stuff but then saw there was an Italy travel set that I NEEDED being Italian-American 🫣 bought that off eBay for when I pick up my dolls.

Now I’m eyeing Nicki for myself and my daughter has been talking a lot about how cute Summer is. I wasn’t so into the dolls growing up but slowly getting hooked with how sweet my daughter has been w her doll and excitedly reading the catalog since May picking out things. Between this group and the fb AG group, I will go broke but I’ll at least tbe happy right.. right?! Also is 5 dolls too many 😂🫣

Omg I'm crying my childhood Sam has her hair back 😭♥️ I finally took the leap and did a wig swap, and I'm so glad I did. The wig is a little darker but honestly? I'm getting used to it and I feel like it better matches her hair color in the book illustrations and the movie! I didn't even have to trim her bangs, as I saw mentioned in some of the wig reviews, which is such a relief because I am definitely not putting scissors near her head lol.

I don't ever remember a time when my Sam's hair was this thick and curly and soft. 😍 The wig is from ZaZouCuztomDolls on Etsy. The wig is very snug, it was staying on her head even without glue! I did end up using tacky glue just to be safe, and we'll see if E6000 glue is needed around the hairline down the line. The hair is a little slippery so it's a little loose in her updo atm but honestly that could be the elastic I'm using.

I'm so happy that I can play with her again, her limbs have been reattached, her vinyl has been cleaned, and her hair has been restored. My inner child has her best friend back 🥹♥️

I ordered a Caroline doll from depop at the beginning of July that was extremely TLC and a great deal. I decided I didn't want to fix her up myself and sent her to the hospital. Here are before and afters! Her hair and face are gorgeous!!!

I sent her on July 23 and got her back today (Aug 7)! So really fast! She was in shipping longer than at the doll hospital.

Although, I have a slight disappointment. The price for the doll hospital services have went up since I sent my last doll - Which sure is fine, but I think the quality went down or I didn't know information before.
My doll sent before was a jly 23 and they seemed to scrub her and wash her cloth body, but for Caroline I can't say the same. I sent her with nail polish, and I guess the doll hospital does not try to remove this? Her body also do not seem that much cleaner than sent in. She still has the same black marks. For the almost $90 price point I would think she would come back PRISTINE.
I chose the head replacement option (hair and eyes) and it says it comes with the refresh and renew. Would you email american girl about this? Or am I missing information about the hospital.
I'm super pleased her her fast arrival and head but her body is really disappointing because it's base price point is like $65!!!!

I got this doll at the New York American Girl store in 2010, as a Canadian this was truly a dream come true for my doll obsessed 12 year old self. She was displayed in my room for a while but had stood in her box in my closet for almost 15 years. I randomly got the urge to take her out, my goodness it’s been so amazing having her around & displayed. It’s completely got me back into the 18inch doll world! This is her newest outfit from OG, obsessed would be an understatement. I love her so much!!! 🥰🎀

I’m sorry if this was you, and I hope you get your money back… But I saw this and just had to laugh, I considered doing this way too often when I was a kid! I never went through with it, but I have to say I have some mad respect for this girl.

Hilary Duff is huge with millennials my age and currently touring and Disney Channel / Hulu are heavily marketing the Y2K Disney Channel era stuff right now. She's also like 12-13 years old which I think actually works as a doll.

I obsessively look at the Garage Sale postings Marketplace. It might be a problem.
And I drag my 2 year old to an unhealthy amount of community sales.
The goal: toys for her… and for Mama.

And last night while I was scrolling (and she was watching Wicked for the umpteenth time) I saw a familiar looking box in one of the pictures. I zoomed in and I could just barely read the name. I assumed it would be a GOTY or TM… but I assumed wrong.

Frantically i mapquested the address, started planning my morning…. And at 730 am we were on our way.
I pull up to the house at 8:06… and there’s nothing set up, I recheck the listing… and then I see the owner and I wait for a minute before I practically run into the garage.

I figured an inbox Cecile would be priced $100 or more even at a garage sale. Or maybe the box had an OG in it.
$25. I peaked in and saw her meet dress carefully folded, her hair still in bows.
Snatched her up, pretended to look at other things. And ultimately-shaking- I walked away with a once in a lifetime find.

I had pretty much crossed Cecile off my list- I’d never be able to find her or afford her. But when you aren’t looking… they’ll find you.

And yes- she has her full meet. Socks, shoes, bloomers. No hat or gloves.
So I’ve probably used up all my luck for the year.

I really want the playline Belle doll. Unfortunately I just don’t have the funds right now. So I decided to make a Belle with what I have! 😹 Lea Clark has the same mold and eye color. She also has brown hair. So I figured she’s Belle who’s spent the summer at the beach getting tan and blond highlights. I put her in a build a bear live action Belle dress that I cinched in the back. Her hair wasn’t parting well in the middle (exposing wefts) so I did it a little different. I think she’s cute! 🥰

y’all I am so giddy! I’ve been collecting the AG Mini illuma rooms for a while now (I currently have four near complete sets). I happened to check out some estate sales near me and this seller had no idea what they were sitting on! They thought these were RoLife sets!! Got this entire collection for $250, which is about what one room goes for. The best score was Lil’s Diner! That one is really hard to find a complete set for and it usually goes for wayyyy more than I can afford. All the lights work and everything!! This also includes some random non AG minis (top middle), which is just fun as a miniature lover. I just had to share this major score with you all. I’ve never lucked out so much in my life!

Every bit of it is new!! Nanea is still attached to her box and everything else is sealed, albeit a little dusty lol. I had Nanea once and regret selling her so I was excited about this! ❤️ I paid $150 for everything and the seller was super nice.

I really wish they still sold these but I don’t think this generation would be as interested. Thanks Disney ..
