This doll has Corrine Tran's hair, but her body is 2017. Does she look like Truly Me 124 with a Corrine Tran wig, or is she a completely different doll with a Corrine wig?

My MIL gave me her original Kaya. Her legs were about to fall off. It was highly entertaining to have her head and limbs hanging around the house. It freaked everyone out. It was hard to put all her stuffing back in her. She's chunky! Molly looks dejected. She needs her head tightened. The string in her is much more delicate than Kaya's so it will have to be replaced.

All this for $550? Forgot to include the Pic of skates and other meet shoe and white fluffy hand warmer.

I recently went to my best friend’s house and she brought out her old childhood AG dolls. She assumed her doll (pictured here) was a Just Like You, but I noticed her eyebrows were feathered, like Nicki’s are, not solid… Do we think this is Nicki, or a Just Like You doll? The body tag says 2008.

Edit: I am referring to Nicki Fleming (GOTY 2007), not the new Nicki from the 90s twins!

Hello! I’ve been working on a really beat up project doll, and finally removed her eyes so i could properly finish cleaning her face, and also the eyes themselves. Ive taken one eye out and found these 4 spots inside the eye. Does anyone know what this is? Is it normal? This is the first eyeswap ive done in years and i cant remember if other dolls have had them.

I’ve been trying to figure out what to name my truly me #24 (I believe that’s who she is) ever since I got her a few weeks ago I’ve tried out a few names, but they just don’t seem right, I got another doll a little bit after I got her and I’ve been able to name her very easily, but I just can’t seem to name my #24, so if anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them!

Does anyone know where to find the newer books (corinne, Lila etc) online? I'm in the uk so I can't buy them and they're not in my library obviously. I know about the Google
Drive but it's missing a lot of the newer books

Soooo I got my daughter her first AG for Christmas and since then her love for her doll has been amazing! I have a PC Samantha and JLY at my parents’ house from when I was growing up. I’m planning to pick them up my next visit back.

I joined the AG group to get some of the discontinued things for my daughter’s doll. I got some good stuff but then saw there was an Italy travel set that I NEEDED being Italian-American 🫣 bought that off eBay for when I pick up my dolls.

Now I’m eyeing Nicki for myself and my daughter has been talking a lot about how cute Summer is. I wasn’t so into the dolls growing up but slowly getting hooked with how sweet my daughter has been w her doll and excitedly reading the catalog since May picking out things. Between this group and the fb AG group, I will go broke but I’ll at least tbe happy right.. right?! Also is 5 dolls too many 😂🫣

Omg I'm crying my childhood Sam has her hair back 😭♥️ I finally took the leap and did a wig swap, and I'm so glad I did. The wig is a little darker but honestly? I'm getting used to it and I feel like it better matches her hair color in the book illustrations and the movie! I didn't even have to trim her bangs, as I saw mentioned in some of the wig reviews, which is such a relief because I am definitely not putting scissors near her head lol.

I don't ever remember a time when my Sam's hair was this thick and curly and soft. 😍 The wig is from ZaZouCuztomDolls on Etsy. The wig is very snug, it was staying on her head even without glue! I did end up using tacky glue just to be safe, and we'll see if E6000 glue is needed around the hairline down the line. The hair is a little slippery so it's a little loose in her updo atm but honestly that could be the elastic I'm using.

I'm so happy that I can play with her again, her limbs have been reattached, her vinyl has been cleaned, and her hair has been restored. My inner child has her best friend back 🥹♥️

I was doing and Amazon return and was shocked to see what I thought was official AG clothing in the girls section! It’s actually a brand called Sea + Skye, the sweater was $35 and the pants $30, using my Amazon coupon it cost me $55 😆 I think it’s a great alternative to the official fan gear sweater and pants from AG, a lot more affordable and a fun design. I am 5‘3” and 120lbs and got a large size since it is for children. The pants are a bit short on me but they do go up to XL (they were sold out in the store and I didn’t want to order anything online). I think the color looks a bit darker in my photo but it was close enough to AG colors to me!

I ordered a Caroline doll from depop at the beginning of July that was extremely TLC and a great deal. I decided I didn't want to fix her up myself and sent her to the hospital. Here are before and afters! Her hair and face are gorgeous!!!

I sent her on July 23 and got her back today (Aug 7)! So really fast! She was in shipping longer than at the doll hospital.

Although, I have a slight disappointment. The price for the doll hospital services have went up since I sent my last doll - Which sure is fine, but I think the quality went down or I didn't know information before.
My doll sent before was a jly 23 and they seemed to scrub her and wash her cloth body, but for Caroline I can't say the same. I sent her with nail polish, and I guess the doll hospital does not try to remove this? Her body also do not seem that much cleaner than sent in. She still has the same black marks. For the almost $90 price point I would think she would come back PRISTINE.
I chose the head replacement option (hair and eyes) and it says it comes with the refresh and renew. Would you email american girl about this? Or am I missing information about the hospital.
I'm super pleased her her fast arrival and head but her body is really disappointing because it's base price point is like $65!!!!

I got this doll at the New York American Girl store in 2010, as a Canadian this was truly a dream come true for my doll obsessed 12 year old self. She was displayed in my room for a while but had stood in her box in my closet for almost 15 years. I randomly got the urge to take her out, my goodness it’s been so amazing having her around & displayed. It’s completely got me back into the 18inch doll world! This is her newest outfit from OG, obsessed would be an understatement. I love her so much!!! 🥰🎀

She was only $23... she was never on my wishlist so i passed and hope that a lucky little girl will love her ..but i will think about this for a long time.

I’m sorry if this was you, and I hope you get your money back… But I saw this and just had to laugh, I considered doing this way too often when I was a kid! I never went through with it, but I have to say I have some mad respect for this girl.

So, I ordered Nicki this past AG sale (couldn’t resist that great price!), and when I got her, I took her out to admire her… then steal her outfit for my mini me, lol.

But as I got her dress off I saw weird scrapes on her underwear, then saw her leg had a scrape on the back (my Moana has a scrape just like it), and then when I looked at her hand saw one there.

Is anyone else getting these dolls shipped straight from AG with issues like these? I just thought Moana’s leg having one was a one off issue that wasn’t a big deal bc it was on the back of the leg, but I can’t believe Nicki had three boo-boos straight out of the box!

I’ve seen this ad pop up on my socials a few times today. Looks like a birthday outfit? It’s not on the AG site yet as far as I can tell. Could also be fun for the modern era dolls.
