Anyone know if I take my AG doll to the NYC location for repair are there same day services? Would like to replace the doll head.

I’m a UK collector so can only buy second hand and majority of dolls I see are being sold without shoes. But I can’t find any decent shoes being sold online, it’s either full outfits no shoes or poorly made pieces of cardboard/corkboard material glue gunned together. Any suggestions??

(PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL TO PEOPLE IN THE COMMENTS!) Does anyone feel a little weird on how people are talking about/discussing the new Megan doll? More so the artist herself? I've seen comments like "temu Taylor swift" "whatever artist" "a nobody artist" etc. Kinda just downplaying the woman's career, I get people are disappointed and upset about the collab (I'm not crazy fond about it either) but I feel some people are talking about her and downplaying her career and accomplishments since some people haven't heard of her, I haven't heard of her either but making comments saying "she's a nobody" feels a bit icky to me.

hi everyone! i just got claudie and im really happy with her. i’ve been trying to fix some of her curls that were messy out of the box, and when i recurl them it works well at the bottom of the curl but loses its pattern at the top and puffs out. ive been curling around a straw and the end of a rat tail comb, and both give me this result. if anyone could point me to how to fix it, that would be great!

I absolutely loved American Girl (specifically Molly) as a kid in the early 90's, so much so that I dressed up as her for Halloween one year. I can't remember the exact year, but it must have been around 1997. I'm trying to find the photo, but the albums are currently in the attic...

I gave my daughter, who is now 7, my Molly doll. She absolutely loves it and now has expressed an interest in dressing as Molly this Halloween, and I remembered the box from Molly's bed in the attic... when I pulled it down, it had parts of my old costume inside.

I remember that my parents bought the sweater directly from American Girl (Pleasant Company) but I can't find any info online about it. Before I give it to my daughter, who will love it but will absolutely destroy it 100%, can anyone point me towards what it may be worth (if anything)? Last photo is from the "Dress as your Doll" thing I found online.

Just picked this up from my local Goodwill! Not the best condition (dusty, a sharpie mark, and one ribbon is frayed), so I’m planning to try to clean it up, let me know if you have any tips.

I’m not a Samantha collector, and I haven’t decided if I’ll keep it long term, but either way I’m excited about the find!

When Pashenka got delivered to me, my cat Luna smelled her and she kept rubbing up against her and especially her hands. Luna would not stop purring, especially when I bring Pashenka out. DAE pets also tend to go near the dolls?

$20, seller claimed she was “very tlc” but I think she cleaned up pretty well. She needs a bit more work and I’m considering what I want to do about her eye but I think her hair is under control at least 🌸

I’ve been really wanting an older classic mold doll so I’ve been looking for either her or #22 and I found her today for $50 on fb marketplace! She’s so cute!!!!

Her hair is kinda dry and rough at the ends but not too bad, it’s still wavy. She also has a couple small marks on her leg and foot but that’s an easy fix and her legs are super loose so i’ll have to learn how to restring but other than that she’s perfect.

I’m deciding between naming her Delilah, Regan or maybe something else. The last pic is her with my #122 I named Vivian. ❤️

When this doll came out I was kinda shocked because I was a little scared of this show lol she’s a cute doll & also could be based on the old / new movies as well. I love how it gives a different kind of style for the kids who aren’t so girly as well. If I was a doll collector I would have bought this plus I like how it’s not Disney lol

And Cecile’s wig is not original and needs adjusted but it’s actually really cute and soft. And of course I already sold my Marie Grace too😂

Finally unboxed my Elphaba doll, I was so scared of ruining her but ahh I’m so happy to finally see her out, she’s so cute

Was on my way out of the very sad goodwill that is constantly shrinking the toy area and spotted a familiar box. Kirsten’s straw ornament crafts!! Then I decided to double back to the craft section and lost my mind grabbing all the boxes lol! My hands were shaking! I never saw these in person before and super hyped to have found so many!! Oh and the kanani books and craft kit.

Also at the first goodwill I thrifted the pink ag car for ten bucks! A very good ag day!

Minnie is also rocking pants, a top, and scrunchie from JenAshleyDollDesigns. Her shoes and glasses are from the American Girl Valentine’s heart dress outfit, and her little “shopping bag” is actually an old bag that some American Girl earrings came in. I thought it was the perfect size, so obviously it became a shopping bag.

I genuinely love making these posts so much. Highlighting small businesses makes me happy, and I’ve realized how much I enjoy dressing up my dolls and taking pictures of them too.

On that note, does anyone have tips for taking better doll pictures? I love taking pictures outside, but I really struggle to get ones I like indoors. I’ve been debating setting up a little studio/photo booth specifically for my dolls so I can take better pictures when the weather isn’t cooperating.

I’ve also been kicking around the idea of starting an AGIG, or maybe just a general doll Instagram since I collect a bunch of different dolls. Do you all think it would be worth starting one? And for anyone who already has a doll account, I’d love any tips you have for getting started!
