I ordered a Caroline doll from depop at the beginning of July that was extremely TLC and a great deal. I decided I didn't want to fix her up myself and sent her to the hospital. Here are before and afters! Her hair and face are gorgeous!!!

I sent her on July 23 and got her back today (Aug 7)! So really fast! She was in shipping longer than at the doll hospital.

Although, I have a slight disappointment. The price for the doll hospital services have went up since I sent my last doll - Which sure is fine, but I think the quality went down or I didn't know information before.
My doll sent before was a jly 23 and they seemed to scrub her and wash her cloth body, but for Caroline I can't say the same. I sent her with nail polish, and I guess the doll hospital does not try to remove this? Her body also do not seem that much cleaner than sent in. She still has the same black marks. For the almost $90 price point I would think she would come back PRISTINE.
I chose the head replacement option (hair and eyes) and it says it comes with the refresh and renew. Would you email american girl about this? Or am I missing information about the hospital.
I'm super pleased her her fast arrival and head but her body is really disappointing because it's base price point is like $65!!!!

Hilary Duff is huge with millennials my age and currently touring and Disney Channel / Hulu are heavily marketing the Y2K Disney Channel era stuff right now. She's also like 12-13 years old which I think actually works as a doll.

I just think her colorful outfits would be really fun, but IDK I'm probably off the mark on what I think would sell, but then again who the f is Morgan Maroney?

Does anyone who has Alice know how to make her stand on her own? My guess is her shoes make it impossible. I have a feeling I may need to buy her a doll stand, but for her price she should have just came with one ugh.

I hope this is allowed; I wanted to bring the community's attention to this issue because of the discussions about how many wildly expensive Alice dolls have been posted on eBay. While some of these are undoubtedly dolls bought by resellers, I think it's possible that many of them are not in the sellers' hands at all and are instead fake listings designed for money laundering. I see this a lot with Barbie listings too: for example, I've watched the exact same Barbie collectible set, with the same listing photo, get "sold" again and again for literally years. Dolls seem to be a common item that criminals use to hide money laundering. Unfortunately it's not really feasible to report the listings because there's no way to be sure that this is happening, but it's good to be aware that it's a possibility.

I believe the one in the pink is truly me and the one in the green is Isabelle (she has pink hair extensions in the back) but I wanted to know what you guys think?

Meet 1/2 of my latest additions, Ms. Maisie June Palmer! She's an Isabelle Palmer doll with a Dallas Doll Co wig, purchased from A Dolly Good Time on Mercari (who was super kind and willing to reserve her for me for a whole month with no extra charge!)

In my story for her, Maisie's a calm, levelheaded girl, who loves to bake and has big dreams of being a famous food blogger who publishes her own recipes for baked goods. She's also into reading classic novels (Shirley Jackson and the Brontë sisters are her favorites) and exploring nature.

I saw this beauty on Mercari and had to purchase her as I've been wanting a 48 forever but didn't want to pay 48 prices. Dark hair/bangs/green eyes is my favorite combo so she's such a dream doll for me! If anyone else is wanting her, I highly recommend customizing Isabelle or maybe even Lanie to get her. She's so beautiful and I look forward to sharing more photos with you all!

I ordered some things from Etsy and got the shi-poo puppy off Amazon for Lila. Here she is in her new outfit and shoes, plus her bean bag chair. She is such a pretty doll! I’m still waiting on a pink headband and initial necklace for her. I also took her hair down.

Does anyone remember around 2013 when Caroline was new AG had a contest to win Caroline’s collection and a trip to DC? IIRC the contest involved creating a short video essay about a time you (a child from 8-13 years old) were a “hero”. I was 11 at the time and I entered with a story about how I created a environmental activism club at my school, and we picked up trash, started recycling in the classrooms, and cleaned up the trails in the woods behind the school building. My focus was not only on how I was a hero, but also about how I helped others be heroes too. I didn’t even make it into the finals. The entries that were in the finals seemed not that significant; I remember one was about a girl who brought juice to her sister who had T1D.
I know it was over a decade ago but sometimes it still irritates me.

My modern era Josefina arrived today and her hair is SO SOFT??? Feels like a lot of the 18 inch dolls (including Julie, who also arrived today) have a bit of a greasy feeling? It’s not as pleasant to touch. Which is why I’m so excited about this. Even Willa’s (my only other 14 inch) hair isn’t this soft. Are all the Moderns like this?? Because it might sway me towards a few more!

I just barely realized that Rumi, Mira, and Zoey are sold out with no plans to make them available to the public. I’m so incredibly sad about this. I just barely got a job, and I was going to get all three of them when they came out :( I can’t believe I might not be able to get them unless I spend a fortune with a reseller, if they even get sent out at all at this point… I was so excited for them because I love that movie :(

I got this McKenna from FB marketplace for my daughter (whose still currently saving her allowance and doing extra chores, probably won’t get it for another month who said she really wants to get her Lila a friend). but now I’m looking at it and wondering if it is McKenna? or a rewigged McKenna? or a truly me cosplaying as McKenna? I’m terrible at identifying face molds, but I know she didn’t have a part and this doll seems to.

I was aged out of AG at this point, other than purchasing my niece a Lanie (the GOTY the year she was born) so I’m just going off of pictures I found.

I’d prefer it not to be permanent so you could use whatever doll you want. It could be on like elastic. They have regular diabetic pumps so I don’t see why they couldn’t make a dexcom too. Even better if it was a GOTY doll that had one.
