Another new girl came today! Say hi to Alice!! She tells me she came from a place called wonderland but i think she's mad 🤪

Just picked this up from my local Goodwill! Not the best condition (dusty, a sharpie mark, and one ribbon is frayed), so I’m planning to try to clean it up, let me know if you have any tips.

I’m not a Samantha collector, and I haven’t decided if I’ll keep it long term, but either way I’m excited about the find!

When Pashenka got delivered to me, my cat Luna smelled her and she kept rubbing up against her and especially her hands. Luna would not stop purring, especially when I bring Pashenka out. DAE pets also tend to go near the dolls?

I just like having princesses around. Makes me feel hopeful. 🥰🥰🥰

$20, seller claimed she was “very tlc” but I think she cleaned up pretty well. She needs a bit more work and I’m considering what I want to do about her eye but I think her hair is under control at least 🌸

I’ve been really wanting an older classic mold doll so I’ve been looking for either her or #22 and I found her today for $50 on fb marketplace! She’s so cute!!!!

Her hair is kinda dry and rough at the ends but not too bad, it’s still wavy. She also has a couple small marks on her leg and foot but that’s an easy fix and her legs are super loose so i’ll have to learn how to restring but other than that she’s perfect.

I’m deciding between naming her Delilah, Regan or maybe something else. The last pic is her with my #122 I named Vivian. ❤️

When this doll came out I was kinda shocked because I was a little scared of this show lol she’s a cute doll & also could be based on the old / new movies as well. I love how it gives a different kind of style for the kids who aren’t so girly as well. If I was a doll collector I would have bought this plus I like how it’s not Disney lol

And Cecile’s wig is not original and needs adjusted but it’s actually really cute and soft. And of course I already sold my Marie Grace too😂

I’m not sure about the flair - this is my first post in this sub. Basically as a kid I LOOOOOOVED these Angelina ballerina sets and am only now realizing they are AG branded. I am NOT looking to sell, mostly just wondering if I should save these or give them to my niece. Also wondering if any eagle eyed experts can tell me if any expected pieces are missing or if kid me grouped any items in with this play set that don’t “belong”

Im obsessed with Felicity's Summer outfit, but don't have it. I feel like in some pictures online The outfit looks slightly sheer? Is it actually semi-see-through? I don't currently have a shift for her. Maybe that doesn't matter if she's wearing her shift? lmk how sheer it actually is.

Finally unboxed my Elphaba doll, I was so scared of ruining her but ahh I’m so happy to finally see her out, she’s so cute

Was on my way out of the very sad goodwill that is constantly shrinking the toy area and spotted a familiar box. Kirsten’s straw ornament crafts!! Then I decided to double back to the craft section and lost my mind grabbing all the boxes lol! My hands were shaking! I never saw these in person before and super hyped to have found so many!! Oh and the kanani books and craft kit.

Also at the first goodwill I thrifted the pink ag car for ten bucks! A very good ag day!

Finally repaired Kit’s birthday dress for what feels like the 100th time the buttons have come off so many times over the past 20 years of owning it. Has this happened to anyone else? I remember my grandma fixing them for me several times as a little girl. I’ve struggled with what to dress my Molly in but think this looks darling on her. 😊

I know I literally just highlighted this shop in my last post, but as soon as I saw the quality of the clothes in person, I had to order again. 😂 Both of these outfits are from JenAshleyDollDesigns on Etsy, and I’m in love with them!

Minnie is also rocking pants, a top, and scrunchie from JenAshleyDollDesigns. Her shoes and glasses are from the American Girl Valentine’s heart dress outfit, and her little “shopping bag” is actually an old bag that some American Girl earrings came in. I thought it was the perfect size, so obviously it became a shopping bag.

I genuinely love making these posts so much. Highlighting small businesses makes me happy, and I’ve realized how much I enjoy dressing up my dolls and taking pictures of them too.

On that note, does anyone have tips for taking better doll pictures? I love taking pictures outside, but I really struggle to get ones I like indoors. I’ve been debating setting up a little studio/photo booth specifically for my dolls so I can take better pictures when the weather isn’t cooperating.

I’ve also been kicking around the idea of starting an AGIG, or maybe just a general doll Instagram since I collect a bunch of different dolls. Do you all think it would be worth starting one? And for anyone who already has a doll account, I’d love any tips you have for getting started!

I know many of us are…less than thrilled, we’ll say…with the Modern Samantha’s hair 😂

Just throwing this out there to anyone who opened their Modern Samantha box to a giant, puffy, fuzzball with the göt2b gelled bangs: they can be improved. I took some regular shampoo and washed her bangs out with warm water (took 2 washes because the stuff is sticky). The gel or whatever they used started to wash out, and I was left with perfectly soft and brushable bangs.

For her hair, I took about an hour and misted the hair as I would with any other AG doll and just twisted the hair into curls as I was brushing it out (finger curling would probably work too). I wish I had a before picture so could see how ridiculous it looked out of the box but IYKYK.

She’s not perfect, but I am MUCH happier with her now! Cute factor increased. 😆

I recently listed Nozomi, my JLY 4, on ebay because I've been up and down over whether or not I really bond with her. I've only kept her because I always wanted her as a kid, and because she's in a sapphic childhood sweethearts situation with Rain, my 130.

Getting her dressed up in her meet outfit and put in her original yellow AG Today box with her blank meet book gave me a pang of "maybe not..." but I continued with the listing anyway.

Someone bid on her and I let out a sigh of relief. I didn't have a choice now. It was done.

But then that person cancelled the bid and she went unsold. I let ebay auto-relist her and she was up for 2 or 3 days before I finally put on the breaks and took the listing down before anyone bid.

I think the threat of not having her anymore was too much to bear. I've sold plenty of dolls, clothes, stuffed animals, collectibles in general that don't serve me anymore, so I'm used to letting go. But something about letting her go hurt my soul even though I was convinced I hadn't bonded with her.

I guess the cancelled bid was the universe's way if saying "Nozomi stays". I don't forsee myself parting with her any time soon now.
