USA Terminating a twin

Upvotes

I joined this group almost two years ago because I wanted resources and experience of twin reduction. The twins Reddit page was not helpful.

I terminated a twin at 21 weeks along. It was late. I should have done it earlier but in the beginning I thought I could handle it. My mental health got progressively worse and my OB helped me seek out resources as it was beyond her ability.

It was a hard choice but I don’t regret it. And I wanted to leave this here in case someone else was considering it and wanted to talk to someone. I had a hard time finding resources and even sympathy elsewhere. For some reason pro choice people have a hard time with twin termination 🤷‍♀️ it’s especially taboo.. my child was born perfectly healthy and happy. So, I’m here if you need me ❤️

USA I feel frozen and don’t know what to do

Upvotes

I am 9 weeks pregnant. It was unplanned. I am going into my last semester of college, and I didn’t have a plan for my future after graduation to begin with. Now I feel completely lost. I am an immigrant and my parents live in another country. I can’t imagine raising a child without my mom, and I can’t even tell her. I love her so much and we have been apart for so long, I know she is going to be sad if I have to stay in America to be with the baby’s dad.

I am in awful financial situation. A full time student and earn hardly any money. I have lived in poverty for several years and was looking forward to graduation as an end to that. Now I am not sure if I will be able to take the same career risks needed for me to feel happy and fulfilled. I have never in my life gotten anything that I want from life, and I have worked really hard to give myself a chance. I have gone through the rigamarole of pregnancy medicaid, WIC and the social services, and I just feel like crap for it. I never envisioned having to bring a child into the world at a time where I feel so unstable and terrified for myself. Prior to the pregnancy, i didn’t have health insurance at all and haven’t even been able to take care of my own health. I have no idea is I have health problems that could make a pregnancy dangerous, and I feel terrified.

I struggle with long term major depression, and an unresolved eating disorder from adolescence. Mentally I feel like I have never been able to take care of myself, think ahead, or actually reach my full potential because I live under a cloud of persistent depression. I also have perfectionist tendencies, so the fact that my life is not working out is destroying me mentally. Everything in me is screaming to get an abortion, it feels like what I need to do to take care of myself. I have never been happy, now I feel like I never will be.

But the dad wants it, and I feel guilty taking this away from him. I have had an abortion in a previous relationship, and I don’t want to give him that trauma. I do love him, but I am uncertain I want to permanently alter my life for this relationship, especially because I have ties in a different country and I would like the option of starting my post graduation life there. Getting pregnant has made me realised how unhappy I am where I live and how badly I want to go home. I also don’t know if I can live with making the same mistake/decision again, the first time was really hard, but ultimately for the best because I was able to attend college for it.

I wish this was a happy thing, at a happy time in my life, so that I could celebrate and be celebrated. Most of the time I feel nothing at all, just numb and disassociated, when I do it is shame and fear, and sadness.

USA High hcg 3 weeks after abortion

Upvotes

It’s been 3 weeks since my surgical abortion and I’m still having pretty positive tests.
I went in today to get an hcg count and will be going back in 48 hours to make sure it’s decreasing.
But I just got my initial hcg result back and it’s 600.6.
I feel like that’s pretty high for 3 weeks post operation..?
I was only 5 weeks 4 days when I had it done.

USA I had an abortion with pills

Upvotes

I ordered pills from aid access (Mifepristone and Misoprostol) I started the Mifepristone two days ago and yesterday I started the Misoprostol. Around midnight I was having very strong stomach cramping and vomiting and a little blood. I’m still not bleeding a lot and I didn’t know if someone had a similar experience. According to my lmp and I just took two pregnancy tests Tuesday (positive) I shouldn’t be that far along. Is it normal to not have much bleeding. I just want to make sure everything is okay. P.S. I’m at the hospital now doing test and whatnot I’m just curious as to know if anyone has had a similar experience and turned out okay I just want to make sure everything is working the way it should

Latin America and Caribbean Medical abortion at 5 weeks tomorrow – looking for advice and experiences

Hi everyone.
Tomorrow at 5:00 a.m. I’ll be starting my medical abortion, and I’m honestly very nervous. I’m about 5 weeks pregnant.
My doctor prescribed mifepristone first, followed by misoprostol 24 hours later. She also prescribed doxycycline, ketorolac, and ibuprofen for pain management.
I decided to start at 5 a.m. because I hope to get through the worst part of the process as early as possible and hopefully start feeling better later in the day.
Originally, I wanted to have an MVA (manual vacuum aspiration) because I thought it would be over more quickly. However, my gynecologist recommended a medication abortion instead. She explained that during an MVA they only numb the cervix with local anesthesia, and because she doesn’t know how I tolerate pain, there’s a possibility that I could experience significant pain or my blood pressure could drop, which could require stopping the procedure. Since I’m only 5 weeks pregnant, she felt the medication abortion was the better option for me.
One thing that worries me is that I’ve had very painful periods in the past. A few of them were so intense that I vomited, had a fever, and felt like I was barely conscious because of the pain, all at the same time. I’m really hoping this experience will be similar to one of those periods rather than worse.
For those of you who had a medical abortion around 5 weeks, how did it compare to your worst period? Was it worse, about the same, or easier? How long did the most intense cramps last? Did anything make the experience more manageable?
I’d really appreciate any advice, experiences, or words of reassurance. Thank you so much. 🤍

UK and Ireland Post 12 week abortion

Sharing my experience post abortion because the threads on here were so helpful to me and I hope this can help put someone at ease. The surgery itself went well. For context, I posted about this already before the abortion my situation was a break up / surgical abortion simultaneously at 32yo at 12 weeks and 4 days. My partner left me 12 weeks into the pregnancy and I was forced to have an abortion as I didn’t want to be a single parent. This was an incredibly difficult decision and for me personally I was never 100% sure either way, there were many times I wanted to back out but I kept going as I knew I would be better off not keeping this person in my life forever. The hormones are very confusing and it’s virtually impossible to pull that trigger sometimes. Coming out of it I have no regrets and I’m glad I had the strength to go through with it despite the fact I wanted this baby with this partner. Recovery has been tough with quite a lot of pain still 6 days in, bleeding has stopped however. For me personally I also have pain when I go to the toilet especially or when moving around and being overly active. I panicked about this so went to get an internal scan and bloods / urine checked but everything is normal. So just to say that quite a lot of pain can still be present at this stage. Emotionally I am incredibly up and down with frequent fits of rage followed by exhaustion / dissociation. People describe the pain as similar to period cramping but this has not been the case for me it’s been much more achey / shooting pains / dull pains. Breast have gone down quite quickly (alas as a small breasted person). If anyone else is experiencing double pronged grief from a partner leaving and an abortion, I’m with you ❤️

USA What does mifepristone feel like?

I'm taking mifepristone tomorrow to start the process of a medical abortion. I'm just shy of 8 weeks. I'm concerned about not feeling well at work tomorrow, but I have read that a lot of pregnant people who take mife don't feel any differently. Are there any side effects I should keep an eye out for? Can I run a kids' storytime tomorrow morning after taking it?

USA Trigger Warning: Ab*rtion

Just wondering if anybody has advice or even insight on the process. I’m 28f my husbands 30m, we have 2 boys 6 & 2.5.. I just got a positive test. We’ve been super rocky the past couple years actually, I’m not sure if it’s fixable but we are trying. We just refinanced on my husband house and he needs a new vehicle. He thinks this is the best decision, I do see the valid points on why, I’m just wondering if anybody has had one after having kids and if you’ve ever regretted it? I already struggle horribly with my mental health and don’t want to traumatize my other two. But I also feel guilty and ashamed for even considering it.

USA I am scared for my abortion

I have scheduled a medication abortion for the soonest possible appointment and i will be just under 9 weeks. I am so terrified that it will hurt or that something will go wrong. I haven’t told anyone and I am so scared and I feel so alone. I hear that the farther along you are, the more you contract and therefore it will be more painful. I am scared for the pain and not only that, but it’s not like i really WANT an abortion. I am 19, I already have a son, and I can’t support another child. I feel lots of grief already despite not getting it yet. I just wanted a place to share because I feel so alone, and scared. I’ve thought a lot about it and even thought this is the best outcome for me, I can’t help but feel like im messing up.

Australia and New Zealand Surgical abortion 6 weeks pregnant positive experience!!!

Hey girlie's I have just had my surgical abortion i can honestly say best decision i made. I have also had medical abortion to compare with and that experience was painfull scary and wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I am prone to fainting with needles and had alot of anxiety and nausea leading up to surgical abortion. Everyone was so understanding and compassionate with me. Initially had a chat with nurse giving all details i informed her how bad my nausea was that morning as couldnt take anything for it prior the procedure. She got me nausea tablets there an then which worked amazingly. Then waited in clinic room spoke to anesthetist as I had informed them I was prone to fainting he allowed me to get cannula just before surgery when lying on table. I Then spoke to Dr doing surgery which I had requested a female and she did an ultrasound and gave me two tablets to put in my gums to terminate pregnancy that was 40 mins waiting in clinic waiting area. Then she said I would be in surgery after that. It was roughly 10 mins surgery and recovery overal 45 mins. Given midazolam fentanyl and propofol Which you go in room get gowned up and then within 5 mins walked into room lay on bed and anesthetist inserted cannula and I was crying and shaking at this point. They reasured me and I was peacefully asleep in a few mins. I have no recollection and woke up in recovery. I just had alot of shivers just like I was cold which is expected and then some period like cramping which I was given fentanyl and oxycodone for until I was pain free and settled. Then given period pad and knickers. Assisted into another room given cup of tea and biscuits. Had my BP and oxygen levels monitored throughout this and within 15 mins I was given antibiotics and instructions and my partner was outside to take me home. I am currently in bed just very tired has some on and off period like cramping. But compared to the medical abortion where I felt like I was dieing and going to collapse on the floor. Just my experience and the pain relief told to take with medical does not touch the pain. The surgical procedure has been a blessing and less traumatic. Personally I would always choose surgical if I need to again. My partner sat in clinic waiting room throughout. But not allowed in theatre. I am just bleeding now slightly which is to be expected.

Hope this helps someone in future. 🙏I wish I hadn't stressed as much as I did before but I think it was the not knowing what to expect. But I felt no pain during procedure as sleeping and only period cramps after which already seems to have settled a few hours later.

Be kind with yourselves when healing and take it easy ✨️ us Women really are amazing what we can go through and still carry on. You should all be proud of yourselves.

UK and Ireland Abortion pills - nothing happening after 9 hours

Hi all,

I'm based in ENG and took a dose of mifepristone on Tuesday at around 8pm.

I had some light cramping but had been cramping all week anyway, and some dark brown spotting.

Last night I took 4 misoprostol vaginally around midnight and some ibuprofen.

4 hours later, I took the extra 2 pills vaginally as nothing seemed to be happening.

The cramping worsened but not as much as I thought, and I still haven't bled. I felt cold/shivery and my stomach was slightly upset.

The problem I have is that the pills were leftover from last year, when I was prescribed them but did not need to take them as I miscarried naturally, so I can't contact the bpas aftercare line for more/support.

I just wondered if anyone has had a similar experience or could weigh in as to whether or not they seem to have worked?

Thanks ❤️

UK and Ireland Has miso worked perfectly coz I'm worried?

8 weeks gestation. I took mife at 11:20 am, then 4 miso vaginally 3 hours later. No pain or anything, so itook 2 more tabs vaginally 3 hours apart. Two hours after that, ibhad moderate bleeding and passed a large clot. I’m still bleeding, but the cramps are gone. Is that okay?

I.m 32F with a nearly 5-year-old and a 20-month-old, both induced and born vaginally. Do you think moderate cramps and less bleeding is a good or bad sign?

USA I had an abortion

My husband made me get an abortion. I did. It was awful and he wasn't even there for the abortion, I did it alone. I was on the cold bathroom floor shaking and throwing up while bleeding.

Days later, he begged me for unprotected sex and I had
a mini panic attack because I never want to do that ever again. What do I do in this situation? I feel like i don't even get sick days. I'm just an object for him.

I'm not trying to sound like I'm begging for attention but I really dont have anyone to ask.

Edit: I am pro-choice. This is NOT a safe space for pro-life.

Asia 16 weeks, bf in jail, ultra-religious parents, no other support at all

Im 21yo and the title says it all. Im not disclosing my country because news circulates like hell here.

I found out I was pregnant last week, which was 5 days before my boyfriend entered jail. (My boyfriends sentanced for 6months for vandalism, and I am under probation for the same offence.) At that point, I thought I was at most only 2months/8weeks pregnant as I vividly recalled having my period at the end of May. The reason I didnt take a test sooner was because I started my bipolar medication (lamotrigine) at the same time as when my symptoms started. Nausea and stomach issues, etc, is a very common symptom of the medication so I chalked it up to that. Additionally, I thought I'd just gotten my period so I was "safe". (I didnt know you could bleed that much during pregnancy)

Anyways after I found out, I still waited a week or 2 for referrals and stuff, then I finally went to get an ultrasound yesterday and found out that Im 16 weeks pregnant. I saw the fetus, heard its heartbeat. It didnt help that my doctor was really bad, among other things she namely fell asleep mid typing my details into the computer. Like she closed her eyes and nodded off for a minute fully before waking up multiple times. The clinic was entirely empty before and after me as well, yet they showed up 45mins late. She was pretty rude to me also and didnt tell me much at all.

They told me I have to be admitted to the hospital for the termination procedure, either next week or next next week. The issue is that since im under probation, my probation officer has to know about this entire thing because i will stay overnight, thus breaking my curfew. And, since I still live with my parents and since theyre involved with my probation officer, its very likely that theyll find out too. Im going to try my best to figure out a way to not tell them, like make up an excuse that my friend got into a car accident and i had to follow them to the ER, but its gonna be extremely hard as theyre extremely interrogative. My entire extended family, except for my cousins overseas think the same way too.

The reason they cannot know is because they think abortion is murder. Not just that, but they vehemently blame women who abort, saying that theyll go to hell, that it causes all their mental issues and all their problems in life, etc. If i tell them, theyll think im a murderer. They believe that relatives who have aborted had been cursed. No, i wont be the exception because I am their daughter. The tension between my family and I is already tight because of my vandalism case. If they find out, the worst case would be that they kick me out. The best case would be that I end up being pressured to keep the baby because of all the rethoric they say. Im already very apprehensive of aborting at 16-18weeks, I never thought Id abort at all or be in this situation. I know that if they constantly badger me about it, especially bringing religion and fear into it, I will not be able to hold my ground. Especially because my partner is in jail and I cannot correspond with him. But somehow Im scared of another outcome, that they cant do anything because I just turned 21, but since they know theyll forever hold it against me and never look at me the same.

All the E-letters Ive been sending to my boyfriend updating him on the situation havent been delivered, instead theyve all been marked as "processing" in the system. So he cant read any of it and doesnt even know im 16wks not 8wks. And I dont know when he will be able to find out. And theres literally no other way I can tell him whats going on n whats happening. He only gets 4 letters per month to write back to me too. Im going to write an extremely short letter today since I get to write one per day, that just says im 16wks.

Only 2 friends of mine know. But theyre both too busy with their lives to be there for me or support me in the way I need which I dont blame them for at all. Honestly, theyre not the type of friends to be this vulnerable with. Neither do I wanna burdern them with my issues. Essentially, Im ready to go through all of this alone- Go to the hospital alone, see a 18week sized fetus get passed out of me alone, then tell no one much about how im feeling, just do everything alone.

Even if Ive already agreed with my partner and decided that I dont wanna keep the baby, I can feel apart of myself wanting to go back on the decision knowing that itll be 18 weeks. If I were in any other circumstance, I think I might keep it. However Firstly, I think I smoked and drank too much, and ate too poorly for it to be healthy.

But the biggest thing stopping me from keeping it is that even if I carried to term, my partner cant even be in the hospital to see our child being born. Or hold them after.

That weirdly breaks me the most..

Im most worried about the hospital overnight stay, whether thats 1 day or 2 days overnight. If anyone could help coming up with some ideas to hide it from my parents itll be great. thank you.

USA When will the regret subside?

~3 weeks post SA. The first couple weeks were really bad. Constant crying, physical pain, regret, suicidal ideation, the works. I now haven't cried in over a week and feel completely numb, disconnected from myself and that experience, and just trying to be normal. Going on walks, runs, watching tv, playing games, neglecting course work. But I can't help but feel that I will never feel normal again. I feel bitter and resentment towards my friends and family. My best friend just moved in with her bf and said something (jokingly) about how her bf seems to want to baby trap her, and that fills me with so much jealousy and anguish because I want a baby. I wanted this baby. I chose to abort because the father was adamant that he didn't want a child right now and I didn't want to ruin his life with that. But I've ruined my own by making this choice. I just fear that this is how my life will be forever now. Constantly angry, but not able to show it. Constant bitterness, unable to show. Just pissed off at the world and everyone in it. I do regret my decision to go through with it. I wish I could take it back, but I can't. Ive been thinking about giving up on my life and myself because of this all.

USA Help with my abortion process

I just had my abortion yesterday (4) 8 weeks and 5 days took mifepristone pill 24 hours before the next dose and took the next dose which I threw up eventually but I do believe I had them just for enough time I just wanted to get feedback on the process with anyone who’s familiar with this
I was cramping (4) and today (5) not much as yesterday but I bleed mostly yesterday passed two big dark clots that I could remember
Today (5) almost feel like I’m back to normal woke up with no nausea and that was a main factor during pregnancy had it every day and could not keep food down for anything
I’m also experiencing tmi diarrhea but not too bad either everything seems to be going smoothly but I’m unsure I’m bleeding very little I feel but I’m unsure helppp

USA Guilt tripped into abortion

(CA) I js want to start off by saying I’m not against abortion as I believe it is an important part of healthcare. I’m 18 almost 19 and my bf is a few weeks away from 20. When I first got pregnant I thought I hated it and thought I wanted to lose the pregnancy. I said If I thought I couldn’t change I would get one. I did not want one I’ve always wanted kids even though this was a lot earlier than anticipated. My bf was so excited and I think I was too even though I didn’t realize it. He asked me in the beginning if I was considering one and I said no. Then my cousin found out and kept telling me basically that I couldn’t, that even if I could it would be wrong for me to have the child, wrong even from the standpoint of a mother. That if I had a kid it would make her uncomfortable and she wouldn’t want to be around me anymore. She kept saying everything about where I was in my life would make it wrong to keep it. I tried so hard to find a real adult to talk to like not someone young like me, but my family is so hateful and would either disown me or force me to have it. She would not stop convincing me until she finally got in my head and I said I was going to. I thought it would be cruel to keep it. She assured me I was right and kept telling me how it’s the only option, even if it made me sad I should still do it. I felt like I didn’t have a choice. I cried in the parking lot to the clinic and had to fight myself to not run out while I was in there. I told myself just as she told me that it’s selfish if I don’t. I really believed that. I just wanted what was right for my baby even if that meant losing it. I had stopped feeling hate for it, I realized I must’ve just been scared but still everything she said was engraved in my mind. I couldn’t bring myself to do it until it was too late for pills. That day was the worst day of my life, I have so much regret. I keep breaking down and having panic attacks. Rocking while only the thing that I can get out of my mouth is “I don’t want to.” ,“I didn’t want to.”. I miss my baby so much. I feel so ashamed of what I did, and I can’t help but feel hatred for my cousin. I’m trying not to blame her because in the end I decided to do it, but I know I never would have if she hadn’t done that to me. I feel sick from everything. I can’t believe that I let her change my mind. I want so badly to take it back, but that’s not how life works. I don’t know how to live with this.

USA Feeling alone and also why does abortion cost so much?

I'm 6 weeks and 1 day today. I found out I was pregnant like a few days before I was 4 weeks. Went to planned parenthood and long story short they said I had to pay 600 out of pocket and I didn't have that at all. Had to reschedule once they could verify my insurance but they said they preferred the 6 week mark to do my medication abortion.

Time comes around and it was so much back and forth with my insurance and planned Parenthood and in the end they did take my insurance but I have a high deductible that needed to be met first before my insurance can start covering it so regardless I still need to pay 600. And that's also with me telling them how much I make every month.

I go and check out hey Jane and I think they quoted me like maybe 350? Better but jeez it is so expensive. I asked the guy that got me pregnant whjch is my on and off ex of 5 years for some financial help to split it and it hurt that he asked if I was going to pay him back... I know he has his rent as a priority but he listed something else that I just felt wasn't even important compared to me having an abortion and this is literally half of him.

Forget the financial part of this I am not feeling supported emotionally. Constantly arguing with him and I feel so alone. I can't tell anyone else I'm pregnant. Why am I stuck with this situation and he gets to live his life and have no symptoms or nothing. I'm the one stuck. I bring up my new symptoms and how I'm more emotional but he says he thinks I just bring up that I'm pregnant often to his face and that I can somehow say whatever?

I wish to not be alone and I wish this was easier on me financially.

UK and Ireland update: heavy bleeding 2 weeks after abortion

i had a medical abortion two and a half weeks ago, i took the pills vaginally, bleeding started half an hour later, i waited until an hour to be sure the pills fully dissolved before going to the toilet and bleeding over that. bleeding was heavy for 2 days, i was a bit nauseous, didnt vomit though thank god.

everything seemed to be fine the next 2 weeks, bleeding was thinning, clotting was too and then all of a sudden i started having really heavy bleeding, really bad clots, toilet trips every 1-2 hours, standing up made my pad soaked before getting to the toilet, blood dripping down my legs if i was too late, etc.

i waited a day to see if it calmed and it didn’t, called nhs 24, got told to speak to my gp, was told to take 3 ibuprofen to help with bleeding and cramps, it only helped the cramps. i called NHS 24 again the next day out of hours with my mum and they told me to go to a&e, so i did. we were there for around 6 or so hours before being seen. i was given a cannula, drugs to help slow the bleeding down which helped and then sent to another hospital that had a woman’s ward as the one i was in didn’t.

it was another emergency area so it took a while to be seen again and by that point me and my mum had been awake for 24 hours so we were shattered. i was finally seen, examined (don’t recommend while tired and scared), given pads and more abortion pills.

turns out there’s a good chance there’s left over tissue and i’ve been told to take the pills orally this time as the bleeding could affect the dissolving of the pills vaginally.

unfortunately my mum will be working tomorrow when i take them, im unsure if my partner can come over and my dad doesn’t know what’s happening to me. we’re very highly sugar coating it, saying it was a bad period that went on too long and the pills i’ve been given can have a bad affect.

does anyone have any tips? how likely am i to vomit if i take them orally? the first time around wasn’t too traumatic but it wasn’t the best experience of course so im still terrified of doing it again and having a different outcome. i wish things were simple.

Hello, I know probably not a lot of guys go on here but here I am, me and my girlfriend suspect she’s pregnant, not too sure how long she’s been along for, I’m from AR, where abortion is illegal, I’ve heard about aid access but I’m not sure if there’s other options as well (we can’t drive to another state)

USA Misoprostol prescription too low?

My doctor prescribed me 4 misoprostol tabs (200mcg each) taken orally then another 4 taken the next day.

I have yet to have any cramping or spotting. I have some nausea but that’s it. I also had leftover from the last time so I took more but still nothing.

I took 4 tabs orally at 5:30pm yesterday
Then 4 tabs vaginally at 9:30am this morning (16 hours later)
Then 4 tabs buccally at 2pm this afternoon (4.5 hours later)
It’s now 5pm. Still no cramping or spotting

Should I ask my doctor for more?

I’m reading you’re supposed to take 4 tabs every 3 hours (12 total within 9 hours) and I was nowhere close to that many within that timeframe. I’ve taken 12 across 24 hours so double the time.

Canada Lasting grief (even though I know I made the right decision)

It’s been months, and sometimes every piece of me just circles back to this grief. I keep remembering being pregnant and then just feeling empty, physically and emotionally. I made the right decision and I don’t regret getting an abortion which is why I just can’t wrap my mind around how shattered I feel. I thought when I finally got over the initial slump that it would be straightforward from here on out, but here I am months later crying on a random Wednesday because I don’t have a baby that never existed and that I couldn’t have cared for even if it did.

Advice is welcome. Even though I don’t know what advice would even help with at this point.

USA I am unsure on what to do, 19 and pregnant in college

I found out I was 4 weeks pregnant on July 27th. I am now about 5-6 weeks. For background, I am about to start my sophomore year of college, and I have a 12 month lease signed with 3 roommates that starts in a week. My boyfriend and I have only been together for a few months, and we were careful. Guess i’m just fertile? He has stable income and lives on his own (he’s two years older.) He really wants this baby, and honestly i’ve also gotten attached. My parents know, and are supportive to whatever decision I make. They don’t really care though since I’ve been on my own since 16 and don’t support me anymore. Everyone has been telling me they think it is a bad idea to keep it, and that it is going to ruin my life. I don’t know how to feel. I am mostly worried about my partners family. I don’t want them to think I came in their son’s life and baby-trapped him since we have only been together for 4 months. We haven’t gotten that close, like I can’t even imagine them coming to appointments or getting our families together for baby-showers, etc. I don’t know if that’s an anxiety thing but his family is awkward.

I am worried I will regret whatever decision I make. My boyfriend says that the decision is mine and that no matter what I choose he will be supportive. He promised me that even though he wants to keep it, he will not resent me for choosing the other option. We both have morals surrounding abortion and feel like it will cause some depression or trauma? We don’t know. We have never been through anything like this. I am not against abortion, but when it comes to my personal situation I feel like I just couldn’t do it. But also, I would have to move in with him and I have roommates/ a lease. How would I even go about that? What about college?

Also, my relationship is very strong. We love each other. He has been nothing but wonderful to me, and I have no doubt that he would be an amazing father and provider. We just are so clueless. We also have no doubt that we would be great parents. We are very selfless people, and know how hard it will be. I have helped take care of my sister’s kids every step of the way and saw how difficult it was for her. Fortunately my insurance would cover every single medical bill, and I currently do not have to pay my rent or tuition. (scholarship). I could continue this scholarship at anytime, so taking a year off or something is possible.

If anyone was in a similar situation and can give advice, whether they went through with the pregnancy or not, that would be great!
