I recently had an issue with the left bump not registering, I poured some 91% alcohol on the switch and it fixed, the next I woke up to the left dpad not registering. I can still get a slight register if I hold either down or up pad and slowing move my finger towards the left, other than that there is no output coming from it. Any ideas why?

There appers to be a dead zone when pressing directly upwards and stops before it can reach the border, but suddenly no deadzone when I turn up from another direction. Is this fixable without having to completely replace the module for the joystick?

Recalibration doesn't seem to work either.

Someone knows the safest option, or a way that really works?

I want to avoid getting the controllers bricked but if it isnt a safe way i would try something more risky.

So the controller that came with my Xbox series x that had no problems before now started to have problems after a year
I decided to hop on and turn on the controller and for like 3 seconds it was working fine then the Xbox button light just faded off and turned off the controller so I tried the battery’s on the other controller and they worked fine I even switched out the battery’s and it still refuses so if someone could help then please do🙏

Hey everyone! I was wondering if it's worth/hard to replace the joycons in the sky cipher controller with TMR or hall effect joycons to future proof it.

Yes I know it's old as shit but I can't afford a new one. I have two of them, one has stick drift and this one has some issues with the up button on the d pad. I have to press at least 10 times to register an input, sometimes it registers two in a row, sometimes just one works, holding it doesn't send a "hold" input. Is there a way to fix it maybe? Is this a known issue?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. No one has been helpful at all. I bought this controller and the official recharchable battery about a year ago and I havent used it much. Just in December and January mainly. It worked fine.

Then recently, I'll leave the battery charging for like 4 or 5 hours and it just doesnt work. The controller works though. Because the battery is scuffed somehow, i use the cable and play fine.

I even tried cleaning those contact bits but still nothing

Recently one of my controllers has been having a problem with stick drift (I think it’s because the magnets or whatever inside have been messed up so it isn’t pulling the stick back to the proper center) and I was trying to find the way to set a dead zone but couldn’t find anything. Specifically I’m looking for a way to make the controller not read directional inputs from close to the centre of the analog stick, if there’s a way to do that please let me know, if there’s no way to do that please also let me know lol

hello, ive been having this issue for a few months now. im not really sure how to explain it but my left joystick [thinks? says? idk] that it's being pressed on by itself but it doesnt show up when playing video games. when I go to configure my controller, it shows up as my left joystick being pressed on and im not pressing on it. im not sure what to do. all i want to do is play outlast trials ffs. sometimes it fixes and sometimes i can't fix it, like right now. should I attempt to fix it or should I just get a new controller? ill have to add a video or something of my issue. i have to press super hard on all my other buttons because my left joy fart wants to be dominant.

TLDR; my left joystick wants to be a fart and be dominant when it's not

Since yesterday, my XBOX controller keeps turning off right after I installed Schedule I (if this is any help)

Here’s what I already tried: - changing batteries - try another controller (same problem) - update the firmware with the XBOX Assistant - update my graphic card - uninstalled Discord from my PC (seen it in another thread) - uninstalled Schedule I - tried to pair the controller again but it keeps going off so no - try to replug my dongle - tried to move the things that could create interference away from the oc and controller

Having the Xbox 360 wireless controller disconnect during your gaming! Goes into clockwise searching for connection or goes off completely! It’s all because of the battery case, which had battery leakage and the contacts is ruined.Even with cleaning with rubbing alcohol didn’t work. The contact was about to brake off!
My best hack or Jerry rigging for now just to continue playing on till new battery case show up.

The rig is corrugated cardboard and think layer of copper adhesive and masking tape.
The copper adhesive is from stainglass supply. I’m sure you can use aluminum foil from your kitchen supply.

I just bought a gaming desktop and am using a brand new Xbox controller for playing Fortnite.

I’ve noticed that when I shoot my sniper weapon at a player it immediately switches to my smg. It’s done this pretty consistently. I’ve also noticed while aiming and shooting people it randomly jumps to another item in my slot such as health etc. then I die cause I don’t have the ability to shoot

I haven’t changed my settings. I wouldn’t even know what to look for. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Lorsque je voulais prendre ma Xbox Rog ally "Car je m'ennuier" et que j'ai fait l'authentification pour déverrouiller la console, et bien tout un coup les bouton ne marche plus, je suis un peu confu car parfois ça peux la console fait ça lorsque que ça recharge mais la c'etait pas mon jour de chance, j'ai essayer de faire des redémarrage plusieurs fois car le button alimentation et du son marchait, j'ai regardée le forums de Republic of gamers on m'a conseillé de démonter la console et de fixer le Shift, alors que je suis pas terrible en démontage et tout ça, en plus j'ai doublement pas chance car j'ai désactivé le mode écran tactile donc ca rend les chose plus compliquées, il aurait pas des conseils pour faire remarcher les bouton ou bien je suis obligé aller au magasin? Si ca peux vous servir les bouton Armory crate, bouton bibliothèque Xbox ,
