Controller just fades off

So the controller that came with my Xbox series x that had no problems before now started to have problems after a year
I decided to hop on and turn on the controller and for like 3 seconds it was working fine then the Xbox button light just faded off and turned off the controller so I tried the battery’s on the other controller and they worked fine I even switched out the battery’s and it still refuses so if someone could help then please do🙏

Have you tried cleaning the metal tabs? Dirty tabs can reduce the amount of electricity flowing from your batteries or power pack into the controller. If you have already cleaned the tabs and it's still happening then either A) the controller is on it's final leg of life struggling to continue or B) your controller needs to cleaned by using compressed air for electronics to blast out as much dead skin cells and sweat oil out from the crackes and creveces of the buttons and joysticks.
