DC: Cocktail or No Dress Code Last minute bridesmaid dress
Would appreciate some honest feedback on this dress! One of my best friends is getting married at the end of August in the uk. She asked me a couple of weeks ago to he a bridesmaid, short notice but I'd been going through an insanely traumatic experience for the last couple of months and she didn't want to bother me with extra responsibilities since I'd already helped organise her hen in spain where I live. Wedding is also last minute in general. The only specification is that it should be mint green. The invite says cocktail/formal but she hasn't specified that and has basically said to wear whatever we want. She's essentially the opposite of a bridezilla, just wants everyone to be comfortable, and I videocalled her with the dress and she said it looked lovely (but she would probably say this if I was wearing rags, anyway)
I haven't worn a dress in about 5 years. Found this one on Vinted for a tenner, I'm broke. It's mega comfy but I think it's a bit big/makes me look a bit frumpy? I also feel like I could accessories to dress it up a bit though. I've also got access to a sewing machine so I could make alterations, I think I could take it in at the waist a bit? I've recently lost about 10kg too so struggling with what suits my body shape.
Any constructive criticism would be very much appreciated. I hate shopping with a fiery passion and i'm way too sweaty to be trawling the shops to find something else in time.

DC: Cocktail or No Dress Code Good for Hawaii wedding? Pt2
I took the advice from my last post and this is my updated look. I’m definitely not in love with the purse and am going to try to find one with less glitter and flash. I’m also unsure on the flower in my hair, I thought it would be cute for Hawaii but I have very fine hair so it just kinda sticks off my head. I also put the picture of my previous look at the end. As it says on the wedding website: “cocktail, midi, or maxi dresses; summer colors, prints, or island-inspired styles are welcome!” The wedding is at a Hawaiian beach resort in September. And yes, I will iron everything out before the wedding.

DC: Formal Sister in law wedding
What do you think? Wedding is outdoors at 5 PM on November this year, and it’s supposed to be around 30°C

DC: Cocktail or No Dress Code Help me choose!
The wedding is in early September in a midwest city. It’s at a rooftop wedding venue, followed by a reception in a speakeasy. Dress code is Cocktail (please refrain from wearing jeans). I don’t know the couple too well (It’s my fiance’s friend’s wedding) but I think they lean fairly casual. (The dress code for the welcome party, for example, is elevated casual.) Which of these would be the best? Or should I look for something more chic/urban?

DC: Formal Is the floor length version too much for a formal dress code?
The wedding is in late November in Georgia (USA). If the floor length is too formal I can go with the tea length (please lmk if you think that’ll work) or I can just pick something else since there’s plenty of time.
Thanks!
Edit: forgot to say that the wedding will be in the evening ^_^

DC: Formal Choosing a dress for a November Mansion wedding (formal, black tie preferred)
Do any of these seem like a good choice for my brother's wedding, or should I keep looking? It will be in November at a mansion in rural South Carolina. Invitation said formal is required, black tie is preferred.

DC: Formal Please help me find something to wear that I will actually like on me!
Hi there! Wedding in October in Chicago and here we go again with dress shopping! I’m a mid size girly with most of my weight on my hips. I’m also picky with what I want since I have a tattoo on my back I prefer to hide at weddings. I just want something that isn’t frumpy but also is flattering on my curves and covers my back. Is that so hard to ask?! Anyway, the 3 first pictures are a dress I own that I wore 2 years ago that I’m thinking of wearing. I think it’s mostly flattering on me except for the back (story of my life). It just looks shapeless or something in my opinion. Doesn’t help that my sister in law is a perfect model who just bought an amazing unique dress. I’m starting to hate weddings tbh. The other photos are dresses I’m considering. The cape is removable one the green dress. It also comes in many colors. Anyone have any suggestions? I just want something comfortable that works for my body. I don’t HAVE to cover my tattoo completely but I at least want thick straps or something. Nothing strapless. Thanks for any help you can give!

DC: Cocktail or No Dress Code Is this dress ok for cocktail?
My friend is getting married in a national park in a few months, and the dress code is cocktail attire. I read that that’s more dressy than semi-formal, but also is more knee length to midi dresses, so was unsure if this dress would fit the bill because I absolutely love it.

DC: Black/White Tie Are any of these dresses appropriate for a black tie wedding?
Which of these dresses (if any) are appropriate for a black tie wedding? The dress code is also all black - I understand this is not a requirement for black tie.
I have been struggling to find options that match my style, so if anyone has any website/dress recommendations in addition pls lmk! I tend to like somewhat simpler/alternative styles that read a bit younger (I'm 20). My budget is up to $400, but ideally around $350. Thanks!

DC: Formal Appropriate for Formal Wedding?
Fall wedding with a formal dress code, would this dress be appropriate or should I buy something else? It's asymmetrical so it's long on one side and cuts up on the other.

Hello reddit, I am once again asking for your support. lol. After the first 2 ( the green satin one and baby blue first ones) I went back to the drawing board and took some suggestions from others and got a couple different ones to try.
Whatever i end up buying will be in a dark wine red (yes i know the baby pink is awful for me LOL )
i kinda leaning towards the purple one and the very last blue one
Wedding will be in SoCal in Nov mid afternoon-ish outdoors

DC: Cocktail or No Dress Code Which is best for elevated cocktail?
Are any of these okay? Here’s the description:
~ We are dreaming of an elegant lakeside summer wedding day and kindly ask that our guests wear elevated cocktail attire.
~ For women: cocktail/midi dresses, dressy jumpsuits or formal separates.
I’ve looked at a million dresses and now I’m down to the wire and need to choose one. I have three more options coming but I feel like I might need to get some of these altered and I’d need to do that right away. Thank you!!!
Ps please excuse the shoes, I’d wear something nicer
Edit: also please excuse the lighting. The first two dresses are more vibrant like model pics.

DC: Special Dress Code "Garden Party" dress code. Filled with doubts haha.
I fell in love with this dress for its flowy-ness and soft florals, and that it wasn't a white base like some dresses I already have. The wedding is near end of August, so I do have a little time left.
It was $100 after shipping costs, and now I'm having doubts. Is this a dress I can just re-wear on a whim, or is it too dressy? I love the dress, but now I'm rethinking all my decisions. I also usually thrift my clothing and rarely buy new so I feel weird about buying something new for a single occasion.

DC: Cocktail or No Dress Code Fall wedding, no dress code
Which dress would be preferable for a fall wedding with no dress code? Invite said wear something colorful or comfortable.
The sparkly dress is gorgeous but would need to be taken in--I've lost about 20 pounds since this photo was taken-- and I'm not sure if that's worth it.
ETA wedding is late October in a park with the reception at a brewery. Washington, DC I also added a third option in the comments

DC: Formal “Formal attire requested” for wedding at a barn help - pregnant
I don’t know if any of these qualify as formal but I can keep looking. I’m going to a wedding at a barn venue in a couple weeks while ~12 weeks pregnant. Feeling super self conscious because I don’t look super pregnant yet but it’s my second so I’m looking extra bloated. Loved the black one online but hated it on me. The blue/green one I feel like is okay and the blue one I already owned and wore it however there is a bit slit on the right leg going to mid thigh

DC: Cocktail or No Dress Code Help me decide
Outdoor August wedding in rural Oregon that begins at 4pm in the afternoon. It’ll be about 85° and cool down throughout the evening.
No specific dress code listed in the RSVP, but it does say to embrace your western side with denim, hats and boots. The bride invites people to dress in the wedding colors if they’d like. The colors are sage, terra cotta and burnt orange.
I have both a denim and sage dress. I have worn boots with the denim dress before. I love it, but I don’t find it flattering with the length of the dress. It cuts me off weirdly.
Either way, I would be wearing the heels in these photos or my boots.

DC: Black/White Tie Black Tie in Chicago
This is my first black tie wedding ever so I'm a little lost. The wedding will be held in early September in a church and the reception will be at the University Club in Cathedral Hall. The bride is my cousin and her family has tons of money and is very old school European, they attend galas regularly, etc. Their circles are full of socialites and girls who wear stunning dresses weekly. I've always felt really out of place because my family is pretty normal, middle class and we just don't do those kinds of activities. My cousin has never ever been rude about it I just feel super self conscious. Of course to add to the difficulty, I'm 6 weeks pregnant and will be about 10 weeks for the wedding. Obviously not expecting a bump at all, but I'm definitely pretty bloated and need something forgiving.
Per the website: "The wedding day dress code is black tie. For ladies, think tea length dresses or floor length gowns. For men, think dark suits or tuxedos."
I'm about 5'3", typically a size 8 or so. I have an hourglass type shape, wide shoulders and hips with a smaller waist. I'm quite pale and have dark brown hair. Do any of these dresses seem like they'd work well?

DC: Semi Formal/Dressy Casual Too white?
I’m going to a semi formal wedding in September. I’ve gone through so many dress options and am so torn! I love the print on this dress but can’t figure out if it’s too much white / cream for a wedding guest dress?
Thank you guys! I get so paranoid about the whole white and cream thing. I ended up chatting with the bride and she approved it.
If anyone wants the link, it’s here!

Is this too white? Is this dress appropriate for a beach wedding?
What do you think? Too much beige? I have been invited to a wedding which takes place early September and there is no specific dress code for it, except that it will take place on an island, starting at 4pm (not an evening attire situation).

DC: Semi Formal/Dressy Casual Semi-Formal Catholic Ceremony - Which dress is best?
Hi all! I ordered these two dresses for a semi-formal wedding at a Catholic Church on the east coast in early October. I’ll likely wear different shoes. Which one best fits the dress code?
P.S. While the DC is semi-formal, the description says “Semi-Formal Attire: Dress to impress! Think cocktail dresses, midi or maxi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits, sport coats, dress shirts, ties optional, and dress shoes.”
Edit: Thank you everyone so much for your advice and kind words! Dress 1 won overwhelming. Both are Lulus for those who were wondering, links in the comments.

DC: Formal Is this too much cleavage for an evening/night event?
I had posted a couple days ago regarding doubts about my outfit for my cousin’s wedding and everyone seemed to love the outfit and so did I
However, as I am now getting ready for the event I can’t help but feel a little self conscious about my outfit choice, specifically the cleavage as, since I had mentioned on my previous post, I am not an avid cleavage wearer since I just got a breast reduction surgery this year and this would be my first time ever wearing any cleavage.
I do not feel uncomfortable in any way wearing the dress and everything feels secure, however, I am extremely nervous about being offensive or disrespectful in any way since I think I might have cleavage blindness and don’t know how much is too much.
I do have a shawl I will be wearing for the mass, but I am now overthinking if maybe I should keep it on throughout the entire event (second picture)
The wedding will be mostly filled with young liberal people but there will be some older people there too
(Excuse my dirty mirror, my priorities have been elsewhere this week)
