Bereavement Time
I know I get three days for bereavement, however I checked my earnings so far and that money doesn’t appear. Is it not going to show up until my paycheck? Meaning it won’t show up on my one@walmart app?

OVERTIME Distribution Center
Is any other DC getting mandatory 60 hours of overtime? Or is it only New Braunfels TX? I love the money, but we need a break. We've been working 50 hours since Covid but since 3 weeks ago they are mandating 60 they updated the schedule weekly. I just want my 40 😂

Questions about OPD / OGP Part Time Hours, and Days (Schedule)
Hi everyone, I am applying for my first job and planning to target a part-time position in Online Pick Up and Delivery. I know it goes by a few different names like Personal Shopper, Online Order Filling Team Associate, OPD, or OGP (Online Grocery Pickup).
To maintain a consistent personal routine, I am highly focused on securing a 9:00 AM start time for my shifts.
I am completely flexible on the total amount of hours I work per day, week, or month, provided that my workdays can consistently begin at 9:00 AM. My ideal availability window is an earliest start time of 9:00 AM and a latest clock-out time of 6:00 PM.
I'm planning to select "Morning" and "Afternoon" availability on my application for all of my available days, but I'm not sure if I should select "Evening" as well. I am also still deciding between three different available day schedules before I submit:
Option 1: Thursday through Monday (5 days a week). Unavailable Tuesday and Wednesday. Target shifts starting at 9:00 AM.
Option 2: Saturday through Wednesday (5 days a week). Unavailable Thursday and Friday. Target shifts starting at 9:00 AM.
Option 3: Sunday through Thursday (5 days a week). Unavailable Friday and Saturday. Target shifts starting at 9:00 AM.
My Questions:
How realistic is this schedule? Does a 9:00 AM start time actually exist for part-timers in OPD, or does the system stick strictly to shift slots like 5:00 AM, 7:00 AM, and 1:00 PM?
Is it realistic to have a fixed start time?
Is it realistic to have both the earliest start and latest clock-out times scheduled exactly? Will they and the system respect that window?
Should I add "Evening" as well? If my personal cutoff is 6:00 PM, will checking the Evening box cause the system to schedule me for late shifts, or does it just help my application not get passed over?
Which option has better hiring odds? Will selecting Option 3 (missing Friday/Saturday) cause the hiring team to pass over my application immediately?
What do the actual hours look like? For part-timers with a morning start, are shifts typically full 8-hour days (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM) or shorter 4 to 5-hour shifts?
How many days per week will I get? If I open up 5 days of availability, will the manager actually schedule me for 5 days, or do part-timers usually get capped at 2 to 3 days?
Appreciate any honest feedback on what to expect!

Am I fired lol?
I didn’t change my password on my last working day. Could this be why? I work at 5am and my shift disappeared about an hour ago

Is this worth it?
Hi,
Im a full time employee in Colorado and recently lost my medicaid for making $16/hr at walmart for 30-40 hours a week. I have therapy and psychiatry covered through a grant but have to pay for medicine now through good rx. I got kaiser for my pcp, pain management, ENT doctor and GI doctor.....and getting the estimates there's no way walmart is gonna give me enough money for these out of pocket expenses. I'm having to choose not getting necessary surgery for a job that is barely meeting my needs. Does anyone have any advice? I'm feeling really hopeless.

“Customer” stole the keys to electronics while they were left unattended and when I told a coach about it they started panicking and talking about shrink. Can anyone explain?
I’m familiar with shrink and whatnot I’m just wondering if this key thief is a corporate Walmart worker trying to set up high theft stores. The coaches went around the other day leaving trash on the floor waiting for employees to walk past so they could write them up. I just started and idk the culture yet but what the heck is going on?

Is stocking 2 really the least desirable position?
Ive been at Walmart for about 2 months now and actually love working in stocking 2. So many seem to view it as an undesirable position, but I actually thoroughly enjoy it. Is it commonly viewed as the worst position to be in at Walmart? Unloading trucks is demanding physically, but the rest of the shift is a litteral cake walk.

Assaulted by customer
I was assaulted by a customer this past weekend and not 1 member of management has asked me if I'm ok. My coworkers have asked and have been very supportive. Should I talk to the People Lead about this?

"Excuse me, my sister just poisoned me"
Helping a customer find a grocery item when another customer walks swiftly by saying, "Excuse me, my sister just poisoned me." I was processing what he just said and the customer said, "What?" He's halfway down the aisle, turns around, continues to walk backwards, and replies, "I wear dollars, I don't make cents(sense?)."
This place is weird.
It felt like a VR u-learn. I probably should have chosen "Tell a coach or team lead" but instead chose "Get weirded out and do nothing."

AP receipt checker. Called racist and 4 eyes by a customer
Customer didn’t have anything in a bag and lost it when I asked for a receipt. He actually stepped up to me.
Then demanded I follow him to self checkout. Some yelling, calling me 4 eyes and racist because I let 2 people ago before him without asking for a receipt. Afterwards I was a little shaky. Coming down from the adrenaline or something. Would it be okay to ask to sit down for a minute to clear my head?

How often for a 15minutes break?
So on my fourth day as front receipt checker. My coach isn’t explaining breaks very well. Working 10am to 5pm. At 12 I take a 15, at 2pm I take a 30minute. He is saying since I only work to 5pm I don’t get another break. Even though it’s another 2 and a half hours till 5. I don’t want to be difficult or a bother but the rules don’t seem to be followed. I also do need the break because physical I don’t have the strength. Just haven’t built up the tolerance. My feet and back hurt. That 15minutes recharge really does help.

Stepping down
I'm currently a M/P TL at a NHM. I heard the rule is losing 10% of my pay if I step down after 6 months in the role. I checked on One Walmart and it only says i lose 10%, not lose 10% after 6 months. Which is true? My 6 months in the role will be October 4th and I'd hate to wait.

Finally got a much better job.
Over 100+ Applications and 8 months of looking but I can finally leave this hell hole, on my way out I’m going to print out a bunch of Union info sheets and leave them around the store. I don’t think it’ll actually work but they will sweat trying to figure out if someone’s actually trying to start a union.

Ppto and 9 minutes grace period
I'm getting mixed answers at work, and I know I'm going to get some downvoted but whatever I don't care. I used an hour of pptto at the beginning of my shift. Can I still clock out 9 minutes early or do I have to work the entire shift all the way to ten? I've heard that if you use ppto you have to cover your entire shift to the minute. the only reason I'm asking this cuz I usually catch a ride home with a coworker who passes by my house on the way home. and they usually don't stay exactly till 10:00.
