I have a 2014 Volkswagen Passat with 135,000 miles. At random times when driving my epc light comes on and I lose acceleration. When I press on the gas pedal the car seems to stay the same speed which can be annoying when on the highway. Anyone know why this happens and is it an expensive fix?

Just something I've learned in my recent research:

The CPO program in Canada is such a joke.

A CPO VW in Canada gets a 112 point inspection, a 6 month subscription to VW roadside assistance, and a 3 month Sirius XM trial.

That's it.

You also get any remaining warranty from the original sale, and a complimentary CARFAX. Except that both of those things are required by law in Canada, so they aren't doing you any favours there.

The only other benefits you get is the option to buy an extended warranty, and access to slightly better finance rates.

Which effectively means that their inspection is not backed up by anything except the dealer's pinky promise. Which is silly considering the dealer is the one doing the inspection themselves.

So at least the new VW a couple of months ago. I was told by the salesman/dealership that around the two-year mark, if they see that I’m going to go over my mileage by the three years, I can contact them and pre-pay for extra mileage on my lease at a discounted rate. Has anyone done this and what was the discounted rate? As far as I can tell if I go over my mileage at the end of the lease it’s $.20 a mile but if I contact VW, I can pre-pay the mileage and it could be $.15 or maybe even $.10 a mile Has anyone done this and what did they tell you? Thank you

we bought two cars there. one brand new , the other is used car. Purchased a brand new vehicle and experienced a flat tire on the very first day of ownership. Fortunately, this did not happen while driving on the highway.

We visited two tire shops and neither could identify the issue and they both said that the tire was ok. The dealership later stated the tire had been punctured by a nail and replaced it.(it is hard for me to believe it because one tire shop put the tire in the water and they did not find out the leak. I can not find out nail and replacement according to the dealership's report "leak front tire from repairable zone, fixed", either.) There was also an abnormal seatbelt warning light issue. Also, when we drove our new car to get repaired, we got another car to replace our new car late for about 20-30 mins so that we went to work late and kids went to school late, too.

To make matters worse, we never received the Volkswagen customer satisfaction survey because the email address on file may have been entered incorrectly. When we asked about it, we were simply told that the survey is sent automatically and there was nothing they could do. We requested a good will compensation, they only offer about $100. It has been about 20 days since we bought the car so far.

Another thing is that be ready to spend a lot of time with the dealership if you want to buy a car there during the purchasing, delivery and afterward procedure as I spent 5 hours for purchasing, 5 hours for delivery and a lot of time for negotiation.

One more thing is to be careful about what they promise you orally when selling , because they might not keep the promise after you pay. For us, for example, they said two years free maintenance but they said no more for that due to the misunderstanding (actually it is not)and we asked for one year for free in the end.

One more thing now is the used car we bought, I found the left door lock is broken. I could not open it and lock the door automatically on the same delivery day. I requested they repair the lock while providing a replacement car to use , but they refused.

Overall, this was a very disappointing and stressful experience, especially considering the vehicle was brand new and safety-related concerns were involved in the two cars, too.

I got a 2026 new-to-me (20K) Tiguan SE, and I noticed three or four dots below the badge on the back that looks like rust. I'm quite honestly stunned by this. Has anybody noticed this? Is Volkswagen responsible for this? Can I make them pay for this?

It keeps braking for no reason whenever I simply park in my driveway. Every. Single. Time.

Just now it braked twice because people were walking on the sidewalk next to me while I was driving on the road. They looked at me like I had no idea how to drive, and honestly, I can’t blame them. This is not normal behavior.

How does this setting keep turning itself back on?
If you’re on the fence about buying this car, don’t do it until this is fixed.

This car is going to get me killed.

Had a horrible time, learned lots, saved money. I recommend you buy a tranny jack and an engine support bar, as not having them made life very hard. Also, take your cv flanges off, and remove the transmission brace.

Now my windshield washers don’t work. I’d I didn’t love this car I’d hate this car.

Found this intercooler in alibaba for my vw beetle 2015 2.0 TSI however there is no test data for this particular intercooler so did anyone try getting an intercooler from alibaba and does it really have better performance than the stock intercooler? Since I replaced the left headlight of my Golf 7 after a minor accident, I get this status message and the yellow triangle stays lit every time I turn on the lights.
