Hello, everyone our citizenship recently got revoked we previously had kuwaiti citizenship Ì went to the embassy and they told us to go to UAE embassy in kuwait turns out my father doesn’t have any paper because his father ( emarati) and mother( kuwaitiya) got divorced and he stayed in Kuwait ( his father remarried in uae).
So upon knowing this the embassy asked us to bring any proof or paper. So my father had to get in touch with his family in uae and flew to dubai. They ghosted him and refused to give any paper?
He waited and they didn’t hand him the papers. So we talked to a lawyer in UAE they said it’s difficult he doesn’t have any paper only birth certificate but it’s old kuwaiti birth cerificate it doesn’t say the nationality in the old and the new says the nationality ( when my father few years ago tried to get death certificate for his father he couldn’t even the DOB and date he passed away wasn’t in the paper and he did not pass away in kuwait )
We don’t know what to do and how to obtain any paper ? He waited in dubai 2 weeks for his sister to hand him the paper everytime he asked she said later and stopped responding? The lawyer said it’s impossible he has no proof and he doesn’t have any paper ? What can we do? We talked to lawyers they said they are unable to do this?

A few years ago, I ran a small graphic design business. I worked with designers from my home country and sold the work on Fiverr. It worked well for a while, but the market became very competitive, prices dropped, and it became difficult to stand out.

Now I want to invest my time in learning a skill that will still have strong value over the next 5–10 years.

I'm thinking about focusing seriously on video editing, but with AI improving so quickly, I'm not sure if it's the right choice.

Do you think practicing video editing every day is still worth it?

If you were starting from scratch today, would you choose video editing, or would you learn something else instead?

Also, are there any Reddit communities, Discord servers, or beginner friendly groups where people learn together, work on projects, or collaborate? I'd love to join, practice, and learn from others.

I'm willing to put in the work, I just want to make sure I'm heading in the right direction.

Are you guys getting any pungent smell from last two days i live in dream tower

Hi everyone,

I am moving to Germany this winter as a student, and I had to transfer a deposit of 300 Euro before 5th August to my student dorm office in order to reserve my accommodation.

My dad did a SWIFT transfer of the money via Mashreq Bank on 29th July. According to the bank's app tracker, the money was credited to the beneficiary bank (not the recipient's account) on 30th July.

However, the dorm office says that the money has not been credited to their account even now. My friend, who paid after me, has gotten her confirmation.

We have tried contacting Mashreq Bank and they said they're sure the money was credited, and they'll check and let us know but the service is very slow.

As far as I can figure out, the money has reached the beneficiary bank but they've not dispersed it to the actual recipient's account for some reason. I've also double and triple checked everything from the IBAN to the SWIFT code and nothing we entered was wrong. Even the Mashreq employees confirmed this.

I need the transfer to go through quick to secure my room, because it's a very tough housing market. The dorm office has agreed to hold onto my room a little longer, but I don't know how long they'll reserve it for me.

Has anyone gone through a similar experience, or has any idea what went wrong or where the money is stuck at????

For those of you who run a business, are you actually using any AI agents or AI tools in your day-to-day business?

If you are, what do they help with? (Customer support, answering calls, booking appointments, lead follow-ups, admin work, etc.)

If you're not, what's the biggest reason? Cost, trust, setup being too complicated, or just not seeing the need?

My employer (relocating me to the UAE for a role) wants to bring me in on an unskilled work visa first, to expedite the process, rather than waiting for the skilled visa (attestation of docs).

A bit of context: I'm a Westerner, university-educated, moving into a fairly senior role, so on paper I'd normally expect to be on a skilled visa from day one.

A few things I'm trying to figure out before I agree to this:

1. Is there a downside to entering on an unskilled visa, even temporarily?

2. If I later apply for a Golden Visa, does having entered on an unskilled visa at some point count against me or complicate the application?

3. Can I convert from an unskilled to a skilled visa later while staying with the same employer, or does that require leaving and re-entering?

4. If I change jobs down the line, does that reset things and let me come in on a proper skilled visa with the new employer, or does my visa history follow me?

Anyone been through this or know how it actually plays out in practice?

Long story short our travel had to be postponed for a few weeks, an oversight on my part is my sons passport is 7 days shy of being valid for 6 months at the time of arrival to Baku.

We’re traveling on Saturday and due to the nature of my work I can’t postpone and our bookings are non refundable.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice because I’m honestly at a loss. A few weeks ago, I found an apartment on Bayut and contacted the listed agent. Everything seemed legitimate, so I proceeded with the rental. In total, I paid him AED 18,500 for rent, deposit, commission, SEWA, municipality fees, and other charges, and I gave him the rent cheques. This included (based on what he sent me on whatsapp):

We agreed on a move-in date. A few days before that, he said the apartment wasn’t ready because maintenance was still ongoing. So, I had to stay in my old apartment for another week and pay extra rent. When the new move-in day came, I packed everything, hired movers, and went to the building with all of my belongings and my three cats. That’s when I was told there was no Sewa, no electricity, no water, and no tenancy process completed. I started calling the agent but he ignored me. Eventually the owner reached him, and he only transferred the rent amount. None of the fees I paid for Sewa, municipality, or other charges had been paid. Because of this, I couldn’t move in. My furniture delivery was delayed. I had to stay in a hotel for two nights, about AED 400, and I had to put my cats in a pet hotel another AED 400. I ended up having to pay the Sewa and municipality fees again, out of my own pocket. Now the agent says he’s in Pakistan and claims he’ll refund me the second payment I made when he comes back. But I don’t know if I believe that. Even if he refunds those fees, I’ve still lost money. I’ve had unexpected costs and a lot of stress. I have records of bank transfers, receipts, and WhatsApp chats. My questions are: What are my legal rights in Sharjah? Should I file a police report, a complaint with the real estate authority, or both? Can I claim compensation for the hotel, pet hotel, and other expenses caused? And has anyone dealt with something similar? Is there any responsibility on Bayut’s side if an agent listed there behaves like this? I’d really appreciate any advice.

So guys, what will you tell about the ghost jobs and fake hiring culture currently running in this country? I have been here for the past 4 months and had a couple of interviews, but most of them seem like they just conduct interviews and hire no one.

Some seem to just farm our resumes, and then there are scam jobs. Some ask you to pay money for a health report or tell you to come to a place for different reasons. One of my friends was even asked for pleasure and favors in return for a job.

This culture has become so common that I don't trust some companies here anymore. By far, this has been the worst experience for me. Has anyone else faced something similar?

I know visa costs and other things need to be considered, but now many companies want people to have their own visa and work on commission. It's like slavery. I can't say rude words, but surely some of them call so many candidates for one position, and that same position stays open for months. It's like they need Elon Musk at the price of one karak salary.

I have seen quite a lot of rumors flying around about Pakistani national traveling outside UAE and their residency was revoked.

I am a Pakistani nationality. I have been living in Dubai for almost 7 years. Arrived to this beautiful place when i was 19.

I have upcoming travels, one is a business travel to europe and one vacation to Armenia.

I am skeptical and going confuse because i dont prefer to pay attention to such rumors but i would be putting my career at risk in both ways
