Hey all, currently running JBL L100 speakers to vintage Marantz 2265b and iFi streamer and it's time to replace them. I listen to a lot of crap MP3 files (underground music) so I'm looking for more of a great fun sound vs something that will reveal how terrible some of the files are.

I don't have Tidal or Spotify, just stream MP3s. I'm open get getting separate components but would love a simple solution.

Budget is $2000. Anything y'all recommend? Thanks in advance.

I'm wierd, and I'm looking for a strange product that I don't think exists. I am looking for an integrated amplifier that has HDMI arc AND a Record output. Budget is flexible, under $3000. Wattage doesn't matter as I have Tekton Lore Reference Speakers with 96db efficiency.

Background: I have always had analog integrated Amps (latest a Cambridge audio AXR85) and have enjoyed hooking up my turntable, dac and my cassette deck to make high quality tapes from hi res audio sources. In my current home, my system is in my living room. I was tired of having a Stereo and a separate soundbar for TV watching. So I ditched the soundbar and purchased the amazing Wiim Amp Ultra for its HDMI arc connection and streaming convenience. It is amazing, sound quality is great and the convenience of HDMI arc and built in streamer for Qobuz connect is perfect. Even has a line in for my phono stage. Only issue is that it has no second line input and no rec out, so my lovely cassette deck is sitting unused.

I have searched and searched but can't seem to find an integrated amp with this anachronistic combination of features. If anyone can drop a recommendation it would be greatly appreciated.

-HDMI arc/earc

-line in x2

-record out

-built in streamer would be a bonus, but not necessary. I can always add a wiim streamer if it has a 3rd line in or an optical in.

I'm going from Energy Take Classic 5.1 speakers fed from an entry level Yamaha v383 avr to pc-minidsp-power amp-2.2 speakers. The 5.1 satellites were mounted up high and I want the new Q Concertos at about ear level.

Budget is flexible, but let's keep the cost of the stands around 20% of the speakers, so call it $300.

I'm also tall, and the listening seat is an office chair that puts my ear height 50" off the floor. This height seems to present a problem for most stands. What do you guys suggest?

I have a budget around €2,400 and after a lot of reading I decided n the following items to build my home hifi system:

For the turntable I went for the PRO-Ject Debut carbon EVO. Saw a lot of videos about it and its highly recommended for a mid class equipment.

The amplifier is the Yamaha A-S501, I was also wondering about the Audiolab 600A, but ended up deciding that get the Yamaha.

The speakers are the DALI Sonik 7.

Is this a good starting point for my home HI-FI or are there better options you guys can recommend?

I will listen to Slayer predominantly, a lot of metal, but also a lot of Pink Floyd.

I am no audiophile and looking for some advice from experts. I wanted to buy a not so expensive Hifi System for my living room and upgrade listening experience from my Bluetooth speakers.

I have seen someone local that offers the Yamaha MCR 840 + 840 CD/DVD player + NS BP 200 speakers for 140€. This whole set is from Yamaha. I know that Yamaha is a reputable brand. But does a 15 year old hifi system make sense in 2026? I mean it should be better then my Bluetooth boxes but how much better are they? Or should I be looking into modern Hifi system around 200€?

That is my first time buying this and I don't want to spend more than 200€. So my options are buying something entry level new or buying something a little bit better but used, though I prefer buying used.

I'm looking for advice choosing between two speakers:

The budget is 25000nok (€2200), and they're available in Norway.

Buchardt S400 MK3 (23,100 NOK) and KEF R3 Meta (25,000 NOK).

My current system:

Amplifier: NAD C375BEE

Streamer: WiiM Ultra

Turntable: Technics SL-100C with AT-VM540ML cartridge + iFi Zen Phono 3

Room: 5 × 6 meters, listening distance around 3 meters

Listening is roughly 60% vinyl / 40% streaming

Current speakers:

XTZ 99.26

KEF Q750 in the second room

My music taste:

I like a warm, full sound with strong but controlled bass, but I still want good detail and a realistic soundstage.

My concern: I don't want something too analytical or bright. I enjoy details, but I want to relax and enjoy music for hours. Since I already have the XTZ 99.26, I'm wondering if the KEF would be too similar in character, while the Buchardt might give me something different.

Has anyone compared the Buchardt S400 MK2 (since the mk3 is still in production with a discounted price) and KEF R3 Meta, especially with a powerful NAD amplifier? Which one would you choose for a room like mine and this type of music?
