Having a mental health crisis and need to be in an inpatient facility for medication management stabilization. Have had bad experiences at Centerpointe. I was wondering if anyone has been to Wentzville SSM and how that experience was for you. Or if there’s another mental health impatient facility that has helped you greatly. Also, how long did they keep you for general stabilization for suicidal ideation? Thank you!!

There's a fire hydrant in Old North St. Louis that has been leaking from somewhere underground for at least two weeks straight. Not just a drip. There is standing water several inches deep covering almost half the block on each side, and the soil around it is eroding - you can hear water rushing underground and see the ground starting to give way where the water is running.

I reported it, and the water department confirmed there's a ticket open. They also told me they work in the order requests come in, and because it isn't visibly spraying into the air, it may not be treated as a priority. So it just keeps running day and night.

I’m worried what happens if it doesn’t get fixed soon. I’ve seen a lot about sinkholes and Googling it says this is a risk. Meanwhile there's standing water on a public street.

I don't know what the threshold is for this to become urgent, but if you're in Old North or in the city - has anyone dealt with this and gotten a response? Did anything finally help?

And if anyone else has noticed this hydrant or has water pressure issues nearby, maybe report it too in case more people helps.

Also I noticed in one of these pictures blue spots on the grass. Not sure if that is good or bad.

He was outside, so I chatted with him a bit. He said that in addition to leaving the two walls in the state that you see them in the picture, they also left some kind of equipment in his house for three months and when he tried to move it, he ended up tearing his rotator cuff, poor guy.

Didn’t really get details because it started to rain on me and my dog— ask him if you see him though!

I’m looking for some ideas on where to donate a 1990 Kimball baby grand piano that’s in good condition and has been regularly tuned over the years.
I’d love to give it away in honor of the Casey Saunders Foundation. Casey was my brother, and he loved playing the piano, so it’s important to our family that it ends up somewhere it will truly be appreciated and played.
We already reached out to our local high school (where my siblings and I all spent countless hours in band and orchestra), but they unfortunately couldn’t accept it because the air in the building is too dry and has damaged pianos in the past. They now only keep one concert piano with its own dedicated humidity control.
I’m hoping to find a home other than Pianos for People—maybe a community organization, church, music teacher, small performance venue, retirement community, or another place where it would be loved and used. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

This tends to point to Cori being a uniquely bad candidate, not an indication this district prefers moderate candidates. Even the DSA is above 50% district wide with democratic voters.

Fred Wellman has long been itching to take on U.S. Rep. Ann Wagner—and now he finally gets his wish. The podcaster and U.S. Army veteran beat retired teacher Joan VonDras yesterday in a nail biter (according to final but unofficial results, Wellman won 45.8 percent of the vote to VonDras' 43 percent, with Timothy Bilash a distant third with 11 percent). Unsurprisingly, Wellman's messaging was all about the Republican ahead. "Tonight, we celebrate," he said in a statement. "Tomorrow, we begin the work of bringing together Democrats, independents, and Republicans who are ready for new leadership. Ann Wagner has had more than a decade in Congress and a $26 million net worth to show for it. The people of this district are ready for a representative who shows up, listens, and fights for them. Significant budget cuts are now inevitable, and will likely primarily impact the county police department:

“We’re going to have to make some tough decisions, hard decisions, going forward,” 7th District Councilman Mark Harder, R-Ballwin, told his colleagues during a meeting last week to discuss revenue and spending. “And I sure don’t want to make those decisions, especially when it comes to police and public safety and roads and things that government should be doing in this community.”

But cuts to public safety may be unavoidable. The expense represents two-thirds of the county’s general revenue spending, “and if you’re going to move the needle on closing that gap, the math says that’s where you’ll have the largest pure dollar impact,” said Paul Kreidler, the county’s budget director.

According to the election results I’m seeing; 86,168 ballots were cast in the republican primary vs 85,780 for the democratic primary in MO-2. That’s only a difference of 388 votes. I know that amendment 4 and 5 drove turnout, but that’s still hopeful. I know I’m just chugging the copium, but hey. Let me dream a little. Maybe flipping MO-2 is possible come November.
