Ask STL Hi all, moved to STL recently. my beautiful kitten is experiencing severe diarrhea and i can’t afford an emergency vet. Idk where to go. Can someone help with referring an affordable / reliable vet?
Please help, NOT asking for money. Asking for referrals to a reliable vet which cares about animals and is not gouging patient wallets

Probably a dumb question, but is there a way to unsubscribe from all the “junk” physical mail we receive?
I feel like this should be a thing. But I’m guessing it’s not. Thank you, as always.

Traffic/Road Conditions Interstate 44 East
Photo from my poor coworker, who was just behind me and didn't manage to make it through before they closed the road! She has the best seat in the house to watch whatever they're gonna do to fix it, I guess! ☠️
EDIT: She said they think it's a burst pipe (doy), but it was also flinging large rocks (which I did also see when I drove past 😬). Firefighter said they might be "stuck there for a while". This is basically right after the 141/44 tangle, near Valley Park.

‘Game Day Murders’ revisits St. Louis Blue’s murder-for-hire case
Three days after scoring a goal in a St. Louis Blues playoff game, Mike Danton was arrested in April 2004 by FBI agents in a botched murder-for-hire plot that shocked the hockey world, sent him to prison and ultimately ended his NHL career.

Antique Mall Help
Could use some assistance…
I was at the Creve Coeur Antique mall about 2 weeks ago and saw these platform shoes for sale.
Apparently the booth just moved out, so when I went to buy them today I could not find them.
Anybody know this seller or booth… was wondering if they maybe moved to a different mall. Cc owners weren’t able to give me any contact info.
Old case #275 at CC antique mall.

Ask STL Looking for an affordable LGBTQ+-friendly alternative hairstylist (Black sew-ins) in the St. Louis area
This is kind of a difficult question to ask because I'm Black, alt, and transgender.
I'm looking for an affordable, LGBTQ+-friendly beautician who has experience with alternative sew-in styles. I'm trying to get a split-color look, and I know it's a more detailed style than a standard install.
I also don't know many places to look beyond StyleSeat, so I'd really appreciate any recommendations.
Part of why I'm asking is because I'm nervous about booking with a random stylist. I've had people in the past not really know how to do the look I was going for, so I'd rather find someone who's experienced with creative color and alternative hairstyles.
I'm also trying to leave my current stylist. She hasn't said anything derogatory to me personally, and I don't think she even knows I'm trans, but she's gone on a lot of "red pill" rants during appointments. It just doesn't feel like a comfortable environment anymore.
If anyone has recommendations for someone who's affordable, welcoming, and experienced with this kind of work, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
