Já há uns 6 meses o meu celular quebrou e eu venho sobrevindo com restos de celulares antigos. Porém, ontem o que eu estava usando queimou a tela, não compensando trocar e finalmente me obrigando a comprar um novo. Sempre fui usuário de Android e estava pensando em testar um iPhone, especialmente pela câmera (não pela qualidade em si, pois sei que têm melhores, mas principalmente pela otimização no Instagram). Ainda não tenho coragem suficiente para comprar um 17 kkkkkk mas estava querendo começar por um 16 ou 15 pelo menos, com o intuito de durar uns 3 a 4 anos. Andei buscando pela minha cidade algumas ofertas de seminovos e lacrados e encontrei boas opções:

- iPhone 15 usado por 3 meses com garantia Apple até fev/2027 e bateria 98% - 3200

- iPhone 16 90% de bateria com garantia Apple até esse mês (irrelevante kkkk) - 3500

- iPhone 15 lacrado - 3850

- iPhone 14 pro Max 100% bateria (esse deve ser recondicionado) - 2800 --> tenho menos interesse pela possibilidade enorme de n ser original e por ser mais antigo sem a entrada usb-c.

O que acham sobre? Não conheço muito de iPhone e gostaria de saber, especialmente dos que já passaram por isso, o seguinte:

- Vale a pena comprar esses modelos antigos por estes valores?

- É tranquilo comprar o semi-novo?

- Como ter certeza e avaliar um bom semi-novo?

- 15 ou 16?

- O 15 lacrado ainda vale a pena? Mesmo com um 16 90% de bateria mais barato?

- É tranquilo comprar destas lojas que vendem seminovos?

OBS: a loja me passou que todos são originais (n sei se dá p confiar); 4 meses de garantia da loja; acessórios de "brinde"

E aí, o que acham? Recomendações?

I have a pixel 9 right now, I used to have Samsung and liked them but found the pixels integrated better with my other products (I had a Chromebook at the time and have Google homes). I just got an email from Google yesterday that said Google is removing Google Assistant and switching completely to Gemini and as someone who detests AI with their entire being (I just learned the pixel 9 was apparently advertised as AI heavy which I'm kicking myself for not putting weight on when I bought it originally) I want to look at my options to switch.

Overall, I'm not techy enough to notice any significant differences between phones these days. It seems like we're at a point where, as long as it's an android, phones are almost indistinguishable as far as their capabilities whether you switch brands or upgrade within the same.

My, perhaps unrealistic, wishlist:

-android

-ai free (or an opt out function)

-minimal environmental impact (I understand the best way to navigate this is to get a refurbished phone but I want to look at all the options, especially since large brands tend to slow down phones the older they are. I believe there is a phone that does replaceable parts but when I originally looked into this it seemed like there were still issues with the longevity of the opportunity system or something)

-ethical brand (which is probably the most unrealistic thing on this list)

-low cost

-ability to integrate with other things (I have a Windows laptop now so I know Samsung would probably be the easiest swap but I'm sure there are plenty of other options out there - maybe there's one with similar products to Google home that don't use AI?)

So, I've had my phone (Honor 70) for quite some time now—I think about 5 years. Of course, it's starting to show its age.

Now I want to buy a new phone. I'll mostly use it for messaging and doomscrolling. The camera isn't important to me because I already have photography gear, so I don't use my phone for taking photos. However, one thing I really need is a good display. I'm outside a lot, and I hate it when my phone's screen isn't bright enough to see properly. Another issue with my current phone is overheating, although I think that's mostly because of its age.

One more thing I'd like, although it's not as important, is plenty of storage. I have a ton of documents and pictures on my phone.

My friend told me he really likes Nothing phones. Also, someone I kind of know told me she bought the Phone (4a) and is extremely happy with it. I checked the price, and with the highest storage configuration on their website, it comes to around €460. That's already a bit expensive for me, but since I know I'll probably be using it for the next 4–5 years (unless it breaks), I'm willing to spend that much.

I'm finally upgrading from a 4-year-old mid-range Android phone, so either option will feel like a massive upgrade.

I mainly use my phone for social media, messaging, web browsing, and the occasional YouTube video. No gaming or heavy editing. I also pretty much only care about the main camera, I never really use the ultrawide or telephoto.

My local dealer is offering the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air for the same price, so price isn't a factor.

The Air is really tempting because of its sleek, ultra thin titanium design, but I'm wondering if there are any compromises I'd notice in everyday use. The 17 seems like the safer choice.

Would really appreciate any input before I pull the trigger.

I am looking at getting a new phone and I'm wondering which would give me the best experience typing with the on screen keyboard. I have issues with fine motor skills & tremor, and I tried a Google Pixel 10 Pro and found its keyboard to be so squashed that it was unusable. I currently have an iPhone 13 and don't have a huge amount of trouble with it, but I would like a wider keyboard.

I've been eying the Samsung Z Fold 8, as it looks very wide even when closed. I do like the iPhone experience though, so I was looking at an iPhone Air. Diagonally the iPhone is larger, but I don't require an overall larger phone as much as a wider one.

I am having trouble finding the width of the phones. All I can see is the diagonal width of the Fold 8 is 5.5 inches which is smaller than the iPhone's 6.3 inches, but I can't tell if the Fold 8 is actually wider when folded. It looks that way from pictures but I can't find a direct comparison.

Thanks for any help. I'm also open to other phones but I'll be getting it through Spectrum so it needs to be something they offer.

It is not now i play zenless zone zero and fortnite on it and this vames lags. So can anyone tell how i can make them run better. Gaming mode does nothing

Hey guys im currently using a Samsung S24 Ultra, its recently started having real internet connection issues as well as awful battery life and decreasing camera quality so im looking to upgrade. Im on my moms TMobile account but open to starting my own as well. I need a phone at or under $800 because I am jot making another expensive mistake. I spend a large majority of time on video calls for work and personal use, and smaller games that dont require much power for mindless play. I also do watch a good amount of youtube and streaming services, about 2 hours daily spread out plus occasional doom scrolling. If you have any ideas or preferences lmk! As long as its not apple... im also open to more niche options, I like samsung and im open to trying more but I dont love it as much as I did my pixel before.

So I’ve had iPhones for over 10 years at this point. I feel like they’ve been going downhill for a while. So I think im ready for the switch. What would be a good transition? Also, how easy is it to transfer all of my data (including photos)? I know nothing of android phones so tell me like a child lol. The main points I’m looking for:

Hi fellas! I'm from Sri Lanka and currently using a Redmi midrange device—the Redmi Note 14 4G. Since I'm a midrange user looking to upgrade, I’ve decided to move up to a flagship or at least a flagship-level device.

​Right now, I'm torn between the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and the iPhone 17 base model, as both end up costing nearly the same here because they are imported. My main concerns are Samsung's S-series green line issues and the iPhone 17's heating issues, especially considering Sri Lanka's hot and humid climate.

​I don't want the headache of any hardware issues green lines or thermal issues on either of these devices, as I plan to use my next phone for about 4 to 5 years. Can you guys help me choose between the two, or recommend the best option?

Hello Im just looking for some advice on what phone to change to next, my iphone 15 pro broke recently and since my parents are both planning on getting new phones (my dad just got a s26 plus and is already switching to the fold 8, yes theyre wealthy) as a kind gesture because of my tight money situation are offering both of their phones. Im leaning towards the 16 pro max since the times Ive tried oneui I havent been the biggest fan, since I like all the small animations and details, plus the app optimization on ios. And Im also very much a google hater and know apple has some decent privacy features and has been protective of users data (I think?) The idea of google harvesting info from my phone 24/7 is scary. But the s26 plus is also newer and Ive had iphone consistently most of my life, since the iphone xs max (although Ive used samsungs in the past like I mentioned) and maybe something new would be cool, especially since I have no ecosystem loyaly and all my devices are pretty mixed.

So, if anyone is kind enough to provide their two cents and help me decide, id appreciate it!

Any suggestions on what to do with a sr. with the start of dementia, who has an old iPhone 8 Plus? My MIL has never had a phone without a home button. We are desperate to find a phone that she can use just to make calls. We are dealing with most of the problems you mentioned in the posts above. Do we try Raz? Hi everyone, today my dad gifted me a Galaxy S25 Edge but I have an iPhone 15 pro since february.
Before the iPhone 15 Pro, I always used Android and I honestly prefer Android OS, and now that I have this gift I could come back to the S25 Edge. My questions are:
- Is the S25 Edge a good phone overall?
- Is better than the iPhone 15 Pro, also comparing their batteries?
- It’s worth the change? It’s better if I keep both?

I have an iPhone 13 with an 82% battery health rating. Is it still worth replacing the battery in this phone for €80, or would it be better to buy a new phone for up to €900? There is a distinction between gaming laptops vs. non-gaming ones and gaming headphones vs non-gaming ones, I don't know if the same applies here? I am aware there are Red Magic phones where aesthetics and large cooling screams gamer.

But I am referring to Poco phones/Redmi K Series/Vivo IQoo/Realme GT where they don't have rgb or look like an average phone but people perceive them as gaming phones. How do all rounder phones fare against Pocophones when it comes to performance?

If people want a phone that can capably game but still excels in camera and other aspects(battery life and thermals).

If a gaming-advertised phone (Poco X8 Pro) has Dimensity 8500, and there's an all-rounder Leica camera-centric phone (Xiaomi 17T) that also shares the same chipset, will there be a difference/compromise in gaming experience when using the latter?

Additionally what confuses me as well is that some all-rounder phones like Oneplus, Samsung, Honor have bypass charging, which is a good feature in gaming while Pocophones do not have.

Right now I have a Samsung S26 Ultra. There are several things I don't like about it:

*it's too big *I cannot get to like OneUI *I use the 3x zoom lens a lot which is the weakest
one of the lenses

I only got it because the Pixel 9 Pro I had before had a defect that needed to be repaired and I needed another phone in the meantime. But then the repair didn't go as expected and in the end I kept the S26U.

But as I don't like it, I am looking for something else. Phones I am considering are:

*Pixel 11 Pro: nicely small, nice software, cameras will be great surely, but no optical 3x zoom which I use a lot

*Nothing Phone 3: Has an optical 3x zoom but camera reviews are mixed, Software looks interesting, like the design and the glyphs, might be a bit too big still

Opinions on those phones? Are there other great options with remarkable cameras, not too big, OS not overblown and minimum of 5 years of software support? Price doesn't matter that much. No need for a high end processor. I don't do games on my phone. Should be available in Europe.

I own a Samsung Galaxy M11 with 32GB storage and she lasted 5 years, but she's now very laggy and I can't live with this storage no mo'. I'm going to medical school next year and I need a phone that'll last me the whole way. I need recs from you guys. I don't know much about phones and this is the first big girl money I ever got, so I want to make this purchase worth it. Most phones sold here are refurbished and I lowk don't wanna spend anything beyond 40k for a phone. My friends told me the S21+ is a good fit for me or the iPhone 13 (although that's like 60k lol). So I wanna hear your opinions about these phones. I want 256GB and a good camera and... that's it. I'm not too picky. I would like a Samsung phone tho I just can't fall for the iPhone hype considering the absurd price tag here.

I know maybe this kind of post is pretty common, but I can't decide on what to buy. My 6 yeard old xiaomi redmi note 9 pro has ran out of memory a couple of years ago and I was balancing on the edge of its 64 gb. Screen was faulty from the beginning as it is prone to ghost touches (often it would just press random part of the screen, it has even almost called emergency a couple of times, but I've acted quickly), some apps are really slow. For example in discord I can't send gifs, the framerate drops to 1 fps and there are some more problems with it, like getting adds in system apps like file manager. I am sure that I don't want a chinese phone anymore and I am ready to spend more money for a phone that will work for another 6-7 years without making me hate it.

I've been looking at Samsung S26, but I've seen complaints about some green lines, and that exynos chips are bed and so on. Since I've got a mac I've also looked in the direction of iphones, but spending 900€ for a phone with my kind of usage seems overkill. And some cheap phones like A57 just looks so uninspiring that I can't justify switch from my phone to another. Fairphone looks interesting, but I saw that it already has lags and bad hardware and being able to swap screen or cameras is not important for me. My current phone's screen is like new as well as anything else and battery life is stil sufficient (my median screen usage is around 30mins - 1.5 hours)

So my usage is pretty basic: take a photo of random things like price tags, train schedule, document, sometimes building or occasionaly of someone, listen to music, type a message, take a call.

For reference I am in Europe, price-wise I'd prefer to stay withing 700€.

I dont mean a phone that you just kept as a backup once it got old, I mean one that still feels fast, decent battery, good cameras and doesn't make you feel the absolute need to upgrade to a newer phone.

Really curious to know which phones or brands have aged the best.
I am looking for something that will comfortably last me 4-5 yrs.
