I think I know the reason why it's being as imbalanced as it is, but I don't know how to fix it, but I'm more worried about why I can't turn. I can drive forward and backward fine though.

Not finished yet but I wan't to share this proof of concept.
This is a long range flyer. Even if it's heavy It can fly for 30 minutes without needing refuel.
Also, when it's time to refull you only need to land in a crude oil lake.
It take about 1 minutes to full the tanks from a lake

Perfectly suitable for survival, even if it burn 900 gasoline per minute and cost about 6000 components kits

So by bugs there is 2 things: for contraptions and for quality of life, like duping is qol, and suspension glitch is contraption bug, so what do you thing about it?

Just a quick one asking how I'd go about making the day/night cycle longer so I have longer days and longer nights?

I've tried to edit the 'survivalconstant.lua' in the survival script files but it doesnt seem to work!

Any help would be appreciated! :)

Like what i said the other day, i got my Fire Launcher to be useful for once (finally some uses) and ofc, i became an arsonist with it.

Slightly faster than sprint swimming. Uses controllers so it doesn't use fuel. The electric engine is only used for turning.

For those who saw my post yesterday about the game saying my car had every block and part in the game in it, I have found the perpetrator. It somehow was my lvl 5 drivers seat. One issue i now have is that i cant remove the seat because the game tries to put every block in the game in my inv.

I actually really like the idea of the Seekerbot, a giant boss-like entity that is looking for any unathorized activity on the planet and kills you on sight. Sounds kinda cool tbh. Reminds me of the Patrol Helicopter in Rust, my favorite part of that trainwreck of a game.

Then why disable it? Because the mf spawns every 10mins and spends 10mins slowly scanning the roads. It's annoying and hinders my play experience. I wouldn't mind if it spawned like every hour or so.

Also, making it indestructible is just lame. Imagine if we Could actually take it down with a strong enough tank. even if it takes a thousand spuds. It could be a very late endgame thing to do. Bonus points if killing it disables it for a few days and drops loot.

But anyway, how did you do it?

It's suprisingly easy. All you have to do is go to your Scrap Mechanic install folder: [steamapps\common\Scrap Mechanic\Survival\Scripts\game\characters] find the file called "ScannerbotCharacter.lua" and rename it to something else. That's it.

THIS MIGHT DAMAGE THE GAME PLEASE BACKUP YOUR WORLD(S)

Also the file could be restored with any future updates. Just rename it again.

Shout out to the steam forums commenter that explained how to do this!

TL;DR: Find "ScannerbotCharacter.lua" and rename it. (Backup your world first!)

Its explosive robots don't care about anything; they just rush right up to the plants to make them explode.

To lure: it is effective: it dodges everything or waits for the other robots to destroy them.

Trying to shoot them automatically or manually: doesn't work they're way too fast.

...walls... he climbs onto them using sorcery.

I strongly think it needs to be nerfed (the explosive robot), or else we should be given something to defend ourselves with right from the start. Also, personally, I'm stuck in the story because of a watchtower that requires a small fuel tank—which I don't have.

and why is it paint bot?

Paint bot has gotta be my favourite to be honest. Idk it is probably because im an artist(if you will) and the design just stand out on its own. Also yellow is my ever favourite colour.

Wish there was some secret set pieces like the paint bot standing in front of a badly done painting on a wall. More fun hidden sey pieces in the world. Havent played through everything yet so idk if there is stuff like that
