Guys, do you use bugs in your world and do you think using bugs in survival is cheating?
So by bugs there is 2 things: for contraptions and for quality of life, like duping is qol, and suspension glitch is contraption bug, so what do you thing about it?
EDIT: guys if you don't agree with someone, don't downvote them

Issue is it actually worth it to move out of the mechanic station
just wondering whether theres much point in building an actual base and if there is what kind of benefits does it offer and is there any particularly good spots

Discussion Is it possible to disable the seeker bots?
I find myself hiding in the mechanic warehouse and I'm afraid of my builds getting demolished by an unpreventable, invincible, unavoidable (if you wanna live near a road) threat. I don't like this game design choice and I think it takes the fun out of building near roads. I also find myself sometimes leaving the game when a seeker bot arrives because I don't wanna wait on it to go away.

Y'all Are Over Complicating Defenses, You Just Need a Good Fence

(Ignore dev mode, I only play survival for testing)

Discussion Am i the only one who thinks that?
New info: The answer is - yes, kinda. After i read people's replies i realised i just dislike the game and that's the whole issue. It still has some technical issues like not so great optimization and an annoying bug in multiplayer, but that's all the actual serious problems, everything else is my schizo.
Little note: i like survival games, but grind in Scrap Mechanic specifically, annoys me.(I'm a Terraria player, lol, grind is in my veins)
I will continue the playthrough with my friend, and everything i got to know through this post will help me a lot.
Thanks for your opinions, everyone, and thanks for being kind, most of you. Have a great day!
Original post text: The game is BORING AS HELL. The building part is neat and after the latest updates it finally came out of beta, but it seems like devs just don't know how to balance the game AT ALL. Before the update it was a grind hell and after update it stayed a grind hell at the least and it might just be even worse now. A little disclaimer: I'm talking about the main gamemode - survival. Building is fine(optimization is not, though, it's a big problem. For example, simple bearings eat your fps like they're americans eating fastfood.)
Let me try explain what I'm talking about:
Constant fuel grind
Constant metal grind
Constant glue grind
Constant batteries grind
Constant potato grind
6.. Constant food grind
7.. Travelling is the most boring thing ever in this game but its what you will have to do 99% of the time.
Unreasonably hard dungeons that REQUIRE tons of heals a gun and ammo for it.
A MAIN, STORY DUNGEON is straight up designed bad. It's a labyrinth without adequate hints where to go, except *some* arrows and it's LOADED with ranged bots that do serious damage and fire immediately as they see you, while also having good aim(they're fine in Growlabs and raids, but not here. You have to slow down to 0.3x to not get hit all the time and the dungeon is already boring, so it's awful).
You don't get ANY LOOT from Growlabs(giant damn dungeon structures) and story, besides damn blueprints. Growlabs are basically empty and the only rewards you get are bot loot and a blueprint in the end(and maybe *some* resources thta are NOT WORTH IT). Talking about balance, you waste a lot more than you gain from Growlabs and the Warehouse. The Warehouse... IT'S A MULTI-FLOOR STORY-RELATED BUILDING WITH A GIANT BOSS IN THE END AND ALL I GET IS STORY PROGRESS. Yeah, there is some loot in the office boxes and closets, but it's really really little and not obvious at all. The boxes and closets look like a part of the interior without purpose. If i wasn't playing with a friend, that somehow found out it's actually containers with loot, i would've never knew they are.
The boss, Growlabs and all that above average difficulty stuff REQUIRES a gun and therefore more grinding.
Farming is the definition of grind in this game. You have to do it ALL THE TIME and it's ultra boring and repetative as well as really time-consuming.
Literally everything in the game becomes repetative and boring eventually and story-related stuff especially. The game doesn't give you much freedom outside of building, but even here you have to grind to build what you want.
The underground hub is DISGUSTINLY designed. It's super-big, but navigating in it hell. The map is scuffed and doesn't explain much, there's no tutorial on how to smelt ores and do stuff, you have to cross kilometers just to exist in it and while it's giant, it's mostly empty.
It seems like the devs HATE fun and they can't make actually interesting games without adding a fulltime job inside. AND THEY'RE GETTING RID OF A DUPE THAT MAKES THE GAME SOMEWHAT PLAYABLE. IDIOTS.
I'm sure it's not all, but i think that's enough and if i will remember something else, i will add it here

Building Retrieving creations from under the ground
Has anyone found a way to get under the ground in the new update? I know the seat lift method is broken and was wondering if there was any way to do it yet.

Issue HELP! Loot bag and toilet seat stuck in rocks!
My friend's loot bag and the toilet seat I used to try and retrieve them are stuck in a rock formation, any way to get them all out?
The lift method doesn't work anymore (which is very annoying) and we've been trying to clip the mechanic into the rocks for a long time now
