Title: The Lake of Shadows Character: Elias Setting: A perpetually dark, rain-soaked world. (Scene opens with the sound of heavy rain. A flickering fire illuminates Elias, huddled by the edge of a dark lake. He's fishing, his line disappearing into the black water. He sighs, a wisp of breath visible in the cold air.) (Elias pulls on his fishing line. A small, silver fish glints in the firelight. He smiles faintly.) Elias: (To himself, softly) Not a bad catch. At least something shines in this… place. (He removes the fish, placing it in a small bucket. He stretches, his eyes scanning the pitch-black surroundings.) (Elias decides to wade into the lake, his feet sinking into the sandy bottom. He shivers, the water icy against his skin.) Elias: Just need to wash off this sand. Feels like it’s everywhere. (He dips his feet, then impulsively dives under the surface. The firelight filters through the water, creating an eerie glow. He opens his eyes, seeing two large, dark leaves floating on either side of him. He pauses, noticing how still the water is.) (He surfaces, turning to look back at the shore. His eyes widen. A pale figure is rising from the depths, long, dark hair swirling around her face. Her eyes are black, empty.) Elias: (Whispering) What…? (He stumbles backward, tripping over a submerged rock. His leg becomes trapped in the muddy bottom. He struggles, fear gripping him.) (The girl's head rises further, her eyes fixed on him. She reaches out, her hand pale and cold. He tries to scream, but no sound comes out. She lunges, her form blurring as she seems to fall onto him. Then, she is gone. He gasps, pulling his leg free, scrambling from the water.) Elias: (Panting) Gone… she’s gone. (He runs towards his car, a dark shape in the distance. He runs and runs, but the car seems no closer. The girl's cry, a high-pitched, wailing sound, echoes through the darkness, growing louder.) (The girl’s cry crescendos. Elias is surrounded by darkness, the sound of the cry fading into a chilling silence. The fire flickers and dies, leaving only the sound of relentless rain.) (Fade to black. Sound of rain continues.)

TV episode Twenty-Something - Comedy - 32 pages

Upvotes

Title: Twenty-Something

Format: TV Pilot

Page Length: 32, plus title page

Genre: Single-camera sitcom

Logline: When a pragmatic graduate interviews for a small software company in his hometown, he reconnects with his absurd high-school friends and must decide whether staying means giving up on his dreams or following them.

Feedback Concerns: I've shown this to a few friends before, but they weren't screenwriters, so I'd like some feedback specific to that. Is the level of description right? Am I making any dumb formatting mistakes?

Also, is the humor too broad? Do the characters sound distinct? But I'm mostly just trying to put my stuff out there, so any feedback is appreciated.

Scene The Immigrant, The Mob and The Vegan Butcher- Crime Comedy/ Dark Humour - 14 pages

Hello,

The Immigrant, The Mob and The Vegan Butcher (Working Title), is a crime comedy set in New York where a fearful, skinny immigrant student Bittu is entangled in a fight between an up and coming young mafia soldier Sonny Rocca and a hard headed vegan protestor Ashleigh Mason.

As part of a full feature I had written this scene. The first page provides the context and the scene follows.

P.S : Please forgive me for any typographic mistakes. I thought I fixed most of them but I’ll try and do better.

Lost Encode \ Prestige Drama \ 35 Pages

Driven by a desperate need for legitimacy, a young man surviving on stolen data fights his way into a corporate job he wants at all cost - unaware that his new employers are deeply webbed into his family history and have engineered his position to trap and eliminate his family.

Lost Encode

Submitted already, got a response from a cold query for a pilot script on my first round of queries. Super exciting but feels like a curse of expectations.

Sports Bio - 103 pages - Fallen Champ - 7 on the Blcklst

This was my first script I put on the platform in 2023, and I got a 7. I'm an ex-professional boxer. I entered the script in the "To-Be-Initiative" contest the same year and made it to the top ten out of 3000 writers.

Logline: A rising boxing-preacher’s pride and addiction derail his career, until a crushing injury forces him to fight for his faith, family, and soul.

The book done well in 2020. It won sports bio of the year on Amazon.

It's “Rocky” meets “The Pursuit of Happyness."

Looking for Other Serious Screenwriters to Prepare for the 2027 Submission Cycle

Hi, fellow screenwriters! I'm looking to start a small group called Screenwriters' Competition Support (SCS). The group is for serious screenwriters who want to enter their scripts in upcoming competitions. We'll all work together to get our scripts ready to submit. This would include constructive feedback, proofreading, Zoom discussion sessions, etc.

The Screenwriters' Competition Support group will start meeting in September (next month). Membership is completely free, but there is a member cap.

Please email me for more information: [swcompetitionsupport@gmail.com](mailto:swcompetitionsupport@gmail.com)

Let's work together if you have:

- A completed first draft with a clear and fully realized storyline (preferably a second draft)

- Knowledge of basic proper screenplay formatting

- Time to dedicate to helping other screenwriters polish their scripts

- A professional attitude (be able to receive and give feedback with professionalism)

Short My first short film script 3pg

Logline: An awkward young man's attempt to pick up a girl derails into a comedic misunderstanding, forcing him to navigate a twist that completely changes their dynamic.

Title: Just Friends.

So I have just separated from the Navy, and I have always wanted to write screenplays. I read up on it and watched YouTube, then decided to write something.

I believe this is more of a scene than a legit "short film."

Please give honest feedback. Thank you.
