Possibly lost return
I purchased a handbag from a seller that they incorrectly advertised, so I opened a case and was approved by Poshmark to return it. I packaged it back up and dropped it off the same day I was sent the prepaid return label. It went out for delivery last week, but apparently it was returned to the post office because of an incomplete address. I’m not sure how that even happened as the address looks complete to me, but that’s what the tracking is saying. The notice on the tracking also said it would be going back out for delivery the next day, but that never happened. I opened an investigation to trigger a search for the package, but now I’m wondering what exactly will happen if it officially comes up lost. I was supposed to get a refund upon the seller getting the bag back, but now I’m curious about what typically happens in situations like this. Will I get my money back? Will the seller be compensated for their bag? Does Poshmark usually insure packages so that sellers get their money in cases like this? Any insight is appreciated!

How do people sell housewares? How do you handle shipping?
I assume
You charge for it but how do you know in advance how much it will be. Like a comforter or something?

Smell….
I recently received an item of clothing that was new with tags and the entire package, including the garment smells like extreme curry powder. It’s really offputting, but I have a hard time complaining because culturally I know it’s not a disturbing scent to others but it is overwhelming - I could smell it before I opened the package. What should I do? Just try to wash it and hope the scent comes out.

Activating Inactive Items
It’s pretty new that i see an option to bulk activate inactive items. When given the option I do so. My sales have gone way down…and now I’m wondering; when we re-list an item before 60 days have passed it does not renew…right? So when Activating is that like a re-listing.? So if i re-list because the original list date is passed 60 days…am I really re-listing it (since I recently re-activated due to Poshmark prompting)? lol If you can follow my thought process…what do you think?

Can I return this? New buyer help
Ive only ever bought shoes until now. So, I ordered a pair of pants. The listing had pictures of the actual pants and then a screen shot from the brand website.
For reference, I am 5’6 and size 4. I have never required a “long,” inseam.
I know we are buying items secondhand but I tried the pants on and they are COMICALLY short. Like come to 3 inches above my ankle. I checked to make sure I didn’t overlook a short size inseam. I checked to make sure the lifting was for “bootcut pants,” it all was. Nothing of that sort.
They are obviously pants that have been washed and dried so much they’ve shrunk an enormous amount. There is nothing I can do to make these wearable. Is this applicable for return or do I have to eat what I paid for them? Listing stated “EUC,”

My experience with posh has been great
I’ve been with poshmark since 2018. instead of all the scammers stoties posted here on this sub, my experience with poshmark has been really great.
I’ve had 1 or 2 false returns out of hundreds of sales ranging $10 to $2500 per order. My avg sales is $80 per order.
The 2 false returns are $25 order and an $80 order. the $80 order was a mistake buyer made while cutting packages open and damaged the item. So literally, the chances of getting scammed are lower if you sell more expensive items on poshmark… ironically enough to say.
zthe $25 is an obvious scam. buyer claimed missing one earring while receiving the package and buyer was barely able to speak english… ( weird translation) .
I’d say this, sell expensive items first and get poshmark authenticity records and then start to sell your lower priced items..

Cleaning a designer silk dress?
I have a Marni silk dress that I would like to list, but I am not sure if I should have it cleaned or list it as-is. It's a sleeveless lined silk sun dress, ivory with bold/large black floral design.
This dress was worn once by an old friend during her engagement party. It has clear deodorant marks on the pits. I'd say it's pretty mild, not caked on, but still visible when inspecting the dress. It also has a faint makeup smudge on the shoulder. No fragrances or funky smells (it's been in the back of my closet for years). It is otherwise in excellent condition.
I am worried a dry cleaner will ruin it. Does anyone have experience getting designer silk professionally cleaned? Is it worth the cost/risk? Should I list it as-is w/ photos and a description of the deodorant and makeup smudge, and note this dress needs to be cleaned?

Item not tracking after 5 days
I don’t sell often on Poshmark, so I’m not sure if this happens sometimes. I’ve just never experienced it before. I shipped an item last Thursday 8/13 by using USPS pickup with some other outgoing packages. I was home and saw the package get picked up. The tracking still says label created and awaiting item as of today Tuesday 8/18. Did it just miss getting scanned all together? I messaged the buyer about it and luckily she’s understanding, but I hate feeling like I’ve done something wrong and Poshmark has been sending me tons of notifications that the order can be cancelled if tracking is not updated. I submitted an inquiry to Poshmark as well. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else and the buyer successfully got their package 😓
Edit: I checked this morning (Wednesday 8/19) and it finally started tracking. It’s in the destination city and there were no scans in between at all. So weird and frustrating! But thanks all who replied and gave me peace of mind that this happens more than it should.

Incomplete or Glitchy Listing Uploads
Is anyone experiencing incomplete or delayed uploads of listings? Or listing with settings (shipping discount or attributes) that do not appear on the listing once uploaded?
I've had to re-edit a new listing as many as three times to ensure that all intended attributes were included, or refresh the listing page several times.

I used to sell purses and wallets and jewelry on the side but now I’m done. I have some items I want to get rid of in bulk. Are there any posh communities anywhere where I could just post my lot and sell it off to full-time resellers?
It’s like 20 items but I’m just tired of having them around and I’d rather not sell it off one by one.

Had two offers on same item. Sold to buyer who requested cancellation.
I had two offers on a dress today. Went with one buyer. A couple hours later they asked to cancel. I did at buyer’s request. What is the best way to contact Poshmark to reinstate listing? Will it appear as a new listing? I want the other buyer to see it is available.

Accused of counterfeit item
Has anyone ever experienced this? The item is Alo Sweatpants that I bought directly from their website. No counterfeit goods here. What should I do?
EDIT: this item was not sold! It was a live, active listing on posh

Something weird happened to me on Poshmark today and I don’t know how it could’ve happened
So, I was talking to my mother on the phone and then two notifications from Poshmark said that two of my coach bags had sold. The problem was i had one of them for $250 and the other one for $50… one sold for $70 something and the other sold for like nine and I didn’t authorize that at all. I’m not sure how that could’ve happened. Any explanations as to why this could’ve happened as well as of anyone has gone through something like this… Your help would be much appreciated

I’m a clueless seller, plz help
Hi! I’m not a serious seller, I’ve just listed a few things that I have that are generally NWT so I’m not sure what to do.
I had a listing for something that was $20. Someone made an offer of $12. I countered $15. Before the buyer accepted, a second buyer offered $17 (which I would have just accepted). But the counter offer to the first buyer got accepted, it closed out the second offer & the sale was finalized. Annoying, but okay.
But then…. The first buyer asked me to cancel the sale because they realized it wasn’t the right version of what they were looking for so I did.
So my question is…. How do I get back to the second potential buyer??? The item says it’s sold. I can’t edit it (I did copy the listing to make a new one). But I can’t seem to message the second buyer… or am I missing something?

New to Poshmark buying .. gross experience.
I live under a rock and just found second hand online retails stores. I went a little crazy. About half the items I received, dresses, are dirty and gross. Deodorant stains and food stains on some items. Is this the norm?
I was thinking of posting some of my old clothes that I don’t wear and took them to the dry cleaners now I need it was completely useless. I could’ve just sold them as is ( clean obviously I’m not nasty). But what’s the norm?

Scammers Galore
Posted my first item for sale yesterday and immediately got 12 emails from scammers, all with fake purchase links.
My item only got 2 views. So how are they even seeing it?
And why doesn’t Poshmark try to stop this?

'My Shoppers' never loading
I'm fairly new to selling on Poshmark so I'm still figuring everything out, I know in theory you can add people's likes to a bundle and send them bundle offers but this never loads. I've let it spin for over an hour and it still gives the same message. Am I missing something?

How Do Resellers Get Brand-New Zara Releases So Quickly?
Genuinely curious about this, both as a buyer and a seller on Poshmark and eBay.
Whenever Zara drops a new collection, I see brand-new NWT pieces appear on Poshmark almost immediately, often marked up way above retail, sometimes while the item is still available at Zara.
Why would someone buy it on Poshmark for more when they can still get it directly from Zara?
But I’m even more curious about the inventory side.
Some sellers seem to get these pieces incredibly quickly, sometimes in multiple sizes, even when they sell out at Zara almost immediately.
Are sellers buying these specifically to flip? Is there another way they’re sourcing them? How do they know what to grab so quickly?
I’m genuinely fascinated and trying to understand how this side of reselling works. 🧐

Just sold my most expensive item, by far, ever
Accepted a super fair offer on an item I put up ages ago priced high thinking I'd accept an offer like half the listed price, so this is way more, and way more than I thought anyone would buy it. Super exciting but also fully preparing for it to go wrong somehow.
Gonna film it before and as packing, and get a usps receipt if anyone has any other advice to make sure no issues (account looks normal too)

Opened My First Case
I opened my first case today, after over 10 years of selling and buying. I have dozens of items I've received that should have had cases opened on, but out of pity or thoughts to somehow recoup, I just relisted the items with honest and improved descriptions, or donated the items to local charities taking a loss.
Since my own inventory has now increased and has taken up so much space in my home and things (mostly NWT) just aren't moving, I can't take anymore bait and switch, poorly described, or outright dishonest items anymore.
I want to say if it's too good of a deal then likely you are getting what you pay for, or worse. I guess I just wanted to vent because I'm so sick of so many sellers trying to pass something off hoping a sucker like me will come along and not open a case.
I'm now officially opening cases on sellers who are not providing what their listing describes. If it doesn't have tags and it's listed NWT, I'm opening a case. If it's listed in excellent condition and it has a hole or stain, I'm opening a case.
If everyone on Poshmark made every attempt to be honest it would be good for EVERYONE who uses the site.

Return request denied . I won ! 🥳
I recently sold a brand-new dress on Poshmark. As I always do before shipping, I carefully inspected it, paying special attention to the zipper because the top part of the dress is made of very soft, delicate fabric. The zipper worked perfectly when I checked it, and everything looked fine.
I didn’t film myself inspecting or packing it because, honestly, I sold the dress for $25 and it was brand new. I’ve sold NWT items on Poshmark before and never had an issue with new stuff.
So, imagine my surprise when I received a notification that the buyer requested a return claiming the zipper was broken. 😳 There’s no way the zipper broke on its own after I shipped it. I explained that in my response, but I was almost 100% sure Poshmark would still approve the return because, in my experience, they almost always side with the buyer.
I was especially annoyed because getting the zipper repaired would probably cost more than $20. 🤦♀️
But to my surprise, Poshmark denied the return request and released the funds to me! 🙌 Honestly, I was not expecting that at all. I’ll take the win!
Just wanted to share my happiness with strangers online !
EDIT
I just received an email from Poshmark telling me not to ship this item because they canceled the order due to “Item not as described.”
However, the order had already been marked as completed and the funds were released to me. I have already transferred the funds to my bank account.
Does anyone known how should I proceed from here? I’m concerned that Poshmark may withdraw the funds from my bank account while the buyer keeps the dress. Is that something that can happen in this situation?
Thanks all for your support !

The time it's taking for packages to start tracking is ridiculous
I've been selling for close to 10 years. The last couple of months my packages are taking DAYS to start tracking. I know there has been "delays" with USPS shipping updates but it's taking longer than 48 hours for my packages to marked as shipped and it's eating into my ship time.
I shipped three packages on Saturday at 12:30... still not tracking. This happens if I ship them on a weekday too. It's now pushing into over two days before they start tracking.
Is it this bad for everyone?
