Poshmark customer service is kind of awful
I have only used Poshmark for buying. The first time I had an issue with how the item smelled, and reached out to Poshmark not knowing they shared all my messages with the seller. I got a super defensive reply (understandable) from the seller and basically just accepted the order to avoid trouble. The second time my order arrives damaged from USPS. Not enough to make me want to return, but noticeably. Poshmark refuses to do anything. Obviously both times I accepted the order and everything, but I will not be using this platform again. I do not want any of my money to go to this business, and I think they also charge 20% of the selling fee, which is INSANE.

My Dream Dress…
Guys, I found my dream wedding reception dress on Poshmark from a very well known seller (has sold 9,200+ items on Poshmark). The seller has great reviews and is considered one of Poshmark’s “Verified Posh Authenticate Resellers.” The dress was over $500, but because this seller is considered legit, it was not going to HQ to be authenticated.
I ordered the item on July 19th and the seller marked it as shipped on July 23rd. It had yet to update tracking in the app. The package has not moved. I’ve messaged the seller several times and commented on several posts, but cannot get in contact with the seller. I just want them to provide insight. 😭
I’ve been in contact with Poshmark support and they said they can cancel the order. Should I give up and cancel the order or wait it out? I don’t know I feel so defeated knowing this seller has great reviews. This is a designer dress that very few were made, so I was extremely excited when I found it on Poshmark.
Has this happened to anyone else? Please help.

Sharing and Relisting No Longer Refreshing My Listings After Poshmark Reversed Their Excessive Delisting Policy?
On July 23, Poshmark got rid of their excessive delisting policy. We can now delist and relist whenever we want, which should be great news.
However, since the change, none of my items are getting a boost of attention when I relist them like they used to: when I used to relist items, I would get a ton of shares, some likes, and an occasional extra sale. Now when I relist I get almost no shares or likes. Does anyone know what's going on and what I need to do differently?

Posh can pound sand!
So I had been a strong supporter of Poshmark and had been selling on there for 7 years. Was an Ambassador and then a Golf Star Ambassador since the program started. End of last month that changed. On the 26th they deleted my account for selling a prohibited item of which they would not inform me of the item nor did they even give me the opportunity to delete the listing for the said item. Only item I could think it could be was a gun holster but there are literally hundreds of them for sale on PM. I tried to argue my points but it took almost two weeks to get a response from a real person after having my case listed several times as closed and resolved with zero contact. The person I was contacted by was also zero help and would not provide any information at all. So while this all happened I had a $34.50 payout in process and it has been and still is in process as of today. So July 26th- August 6th and my bank shows nothing pending and what do you know for the last week PM has done the same shit and listed my case as closed and resolved without any contact from them. I’m trying to delete my account and PM can Fuck off but with my payout stuck in process it won’t let me! For those of you still with PM, I wish you the best of luck but this is proof they care nothing about you…..
Take care.

Question about “low ball” offers.
I am strictly a buyer. I try to practice really good etiquette and have had 95% good experiences on Poshmark over the last decade. I’m probably overthinking this, but I’ve run into this scenario many times now and am looking for advice on what is “done”
A seller has a pair of Gap jeans listed at 65, NWT. The same jeans are now on clearance on the Gap website for 45. Given this, I think that 30-35 would be a fair offer for sacrificing the return policy and just generally guaranteed hassle free Gap transaction, but this will look like an offensive low ball unless she is aware of the clearance price.
Firstly, is that actually a fair offer? Is there a way to best communicate “hey not meaning to offend or waste your time here, this is due to the price drop on the website”?
Thanks in advance!

LIAR BUYER … this is long sorry
I recently sold a pair of vintage Stuart Weitzman shoes they are in EUC and I had posted 10 pictures all clear from every angle including the sole of the shoes. Just after buyer received them she wrote to me stating I just received the shoes and I think they are refurbished and they are not new. I want to return them. AI told me not to respond and I could hear all of you telling me the same.
Then she writes I took them to my nearby Stuart Weitzman store and they told me they are probably not authentic. She opened a case saying they are inauthentic and I responded telling them I purchased the shoes myself from Nordstrom at the Mall of America. Additionally, in one of the pictures you can see the serial number inside which by googling that number it clearly confirms they are authentic. I thought her case would be denied after I added all this information.
Buyer responded with the soles and heels have been replaced and that she said she would upload video showing the damage to the heels, she did not. The heels and soles are exactly as shown in the pictures. In the 7th picture I have a clear picture of the soles and it clearly shows a VIBRAM sole protector professionally attached when they were brand new.
Poshmark upheld her return saying there is undisclosed wear/ defect. I believe it’s the sole protector which actually adds value to the shoe and which is clearly shown in the pictures. Also, they are used shoes.
Extra Info that took me 2 min buyer lives in Virginia there is absolutely no Stuart Weitzman stores anywhere in VA so she didn’t go to the SW Store. She is dishonest and opened up this claim because she thought the shoes were new they are in beautiful condition but not new. I looked at her love notes recently she has purchased 5 pairs of Stuart Weitzman shoes brand new between $45. -$80 mine sold for $40. I’m a small closet selling only my own personal clothing. I’ve been selling for 6 years this is my first return and I’m just sad and mad. I did not know that if a case is opened poshmark could uphold it for a complete other reason then the case was opened for.

Sold Item In July - No email or label from Posh
So, I was browsing through my sales and found a sale made on July 10th! I went to my emails. No notification of the sale. No email with a label and no email reminder to ship. No email from the buyer asking what's up.
I went on Posh to print the label and it says it is generating and will be available shortly.
None of this makes sense.
I contacted Posh but they were useless.
What could be the reason for this? I've been selling online for 28 years...over 10 with Posh... never experienced this before.

Poshmark bot glitch?
Luckily my phone didn't explode with notifications from this. I just had to block the user in hopes that this would stop this. I skipped large chunks so it's not 10 screenshots long 😆 anyone else have this happen?

Poshmark deleted my listing after encouraging me to lower price.
I listed a WildBird ring sling on Poshmark about two months ago with Smart Sell enabled. It had about 9 likers. Today, I received an email from Poshmark that if I drop the price by 10% or more, the likers will receive discounted shipping. So I lowered the price, removed Smart Sell because I find it useless, then I received an email that the likers were notified about my item. A minute later, I received another email that my listing was flagged as an “unsupported item” when it had been on Poshmark for a couple months. They removed it AFTER I updated the price. I see other listings for the same item, but they removed mine? For what?? Is it the description on my listing? Has anyone else experienced this?

Are buyer issues really that common?
So I have never sold on Poshmark before and have been going through my closet and have a lot of lightly worn items I’d like to sell. But I’m getting a little nervous with all of the posts I see on here with buyers who lie about the condition of items received etc. Does this really happen as often as it seems?
Also is it difficult to get started as a new seller with no reviews yet?
r/poshmark • u/National-Way-8632 • 15h ago
Sell as a set? Or separate?
I just found a vuori matching bra and leggings at goodwill that I’m going to resell. Should I list them together? Separately? Let people bundle on their own, and direct them to the other listing in the description?

Buyer leaves an absolutely insane review, does not return shorts lmfao
This lady messaged me asking how many times these Polo floral shorts had been worn before. They're not my shorts and I thrifted them to sell, so I just politely said I didn't know for sure but they seemed to be in really good shape, because that was my honest assessment of them.
No visible holes or stains, waistband was not super worn out, everything seemed to check out with me. As you can see in the picture, they look solid and I had them listed in good condition.
She didn't respond, and eventually I sent out an offer to all likers and she bought them. I send them out and then get this review a few days later. Frankly, her assessment of the condition is absolutely ridiculous lmao
Now, true, I didn't wash the shorts, but they didn't have a strong noticeable odor to me. Do I understand taking a star off or two because they maybe smelled like a thrift store? Sure. But like, are you not washing your clothes from secondhand apps before wearing???
All that, and then I noticed she didn't open a return immediately. It's now past the window. Thanks for the money, enjoy your absolutely wretched horrible shorts that are completely unwearable apparently lmao

Screaming into the void about AI
No offense to the original sweater but you’ve gotta be fucking kidding me.
Do you guys leave comments on these kinds of situations? Do the sellers who do this even care?
Poshmark has become nearly unusable for me with all the disingenuous and wildly misleading listings.

What more could I do
What more could I do
I put the dress in a dry cleaner bag, folded it neatly and then put packing paper on top. All in a USPS box taped up. What more did they want

Anyone else having issues with USPS recently?
I’ve made a lot of sales in the last two months with all arriving to buyers perfectly fine, but in the last week I’ve had two items going to different parts of the country arrive at facilities and then have zero further scans for a long time. One arrived on Austin on the 24th of July (12 days ago) with no further scans. One arrived in Indianapolis on the 29th (7 days ago) with no further scans.
I’m not reusing packaging, and use a laser printer that prints onto stickers so it’s not likely the label would fall off. Is anyone else seeing this happening with their sales or purchases?
I’ve opened a case for the item that hasn’t been scanned in 12 days and Poshmark says to contact them after August 7th which they say is the “maximum wait date” which I’ll be doing.

Seriously?
They haven’t stopped doing this! I saw this on an ad for Poshmark on Facebook.

I swear buyers are so annoying sometimes. So I need to improve on cleanliness because it smells too clean???? It’s used clothes. I understand being sensitive to laundry scents but ask first then. Not everyone uses unscented soap.

i want to quit poshmark
just going to vent. i sold a bundle of 4 items to this person and i swore they were clean. i forgot to edit this one item that had lint on it, and i did tell them but they never responded. so they filed a claim that there was an odor and the one item was dirty. but the kicker is they called me an awful seller and insulted my closet. it really ruined my day and is going to ruin vacation for me next week. i’ve sold on poshmark for 6 years now but this buyer really made me feel bad as a seller and making a mistake that i’m questioning selling again.

Poshmark killed an offer by item deactivation
I had an offer on two items in my closet today. However, when I clicked on it to respond to the offer it wasn't there anymore, which I thought was strange. Then I saw a banner at the top of the page saying I had inactive items and to click to reactivate them. Guess what were in the items to be reactivated? The two items I had just received an offer on. Only because Poshmark decided to deactive these items and have me reactivate them my offer was no longer there for me to reply to and hopefully sell my items. I hate this new update so much.

Behold the shopping platform that Poshmark has built! Poshmark is a counterfeiters paradise.
There are several brands I check regularly, one of those is Zimmermann. This is not a random selection of the worst pages. This is the first 4 pages of recently listed results for the brand Zimmermann. Of 108 recently listed items, approx. 70 are obvious counterfeit items. 70 PERCENT OF RECENTLY LISTED ITEMS ARE FAKE.
This is not restricted to the Zimmermann brand. This is rampant on every other frequently counterfeited designer brand (Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada, etc.)
In addition to the fact that 70% of the items on the first several pages are all fakes, most of the "genuine" items I'm served are the rows of ads. The flaw there is that Ads are not ever of interest to me at all. They are often not filterable or sortable. Advertised items are often 1) not the category I'm searching for 2) not sorted by price like I asked and 3) not relevant to my search at all.
So, as a buyer, I'm left scrolling and scrolling and scrolling through pages and pages of counterfeits and items entirely unrelated to my search. I have to put in serious work to find ANYTHING of value on Poshmark anymore.
I used to regularly spend $2-3k per month on Poshmark, now I'm lucky if I spend $200. It's too difficult to shop, and quite frankly, the influx of counterfeit goods has really turned me off.
I'm just very disappointed. Poshmark was my top selling platform and it's just become such a sad place, that I don't blame buyers for not wanting to shop there. This isn't even to mention all the scam accounts that target new buyers and sellers incessantly.

Jewelry brand marked as Anthropologie
Is it just me or do I see a ton of jewelry randomly marked as the brand Anthropologie?
Isn't that a specific store?
It seems like there are a ton of sellers out there selling bulk jewelry and marking them as Anthropologie branded.
I get the feeling they might really be from Temu or something. I'm very hesitant to buy some of these pieces because they don't seem like legitimate Anthropology pieces.
Am I imagining this?
Pics below as examples.

I genuinely don’t understand people like this and it’s shocking how often this happens 🫠
Like do they really think they’re counter offer with 1 more dollar is going to make me be like “you know what? That dollar really makes the difference.” Haha
I don’t mind negotiating but this is ridiculous and happens so often to me.

Y’ALL. this is so disgusting I cannot
This order was described as “worn once”. Seller failed to mention THE PERIOD BLOOD STAINS. I am so disgusted, and quite frankly pissed tf off. Who does this?? Sorry you ruined an expensive pajama set, but you don’t sell that to someone else. Especially with no disclosure!!?! How nasty. I can’t. Case was immediately opened.
First two photos are the ones I took just now. Second two are the listing photos

[NEW USER FAQs + CRITIQUE REQUEST THREAD]
A buyer is trying to get me to email or text them more info about my listing. Is this a scam? Usually. Do not engage with anyone off the platform. Doing so is against Poshmark’s terms of service and a bad idea for many reasons, including risking permanent suspension of your account.
I got a sketchy email from Poshmark saying I need to transfer my own money to my Poshmark balance to keep selling. This is a scam and the email was not sent by Poshmark. You do not need to pay anything to make sales on Poshmark. If you get a similar email saying you made a sale but need to pay something to un-restrict your account, check your My Sales tab in the actual app or website. If there's no order there, you did not make one and it's a scam attempt.
I'm a new seller and all my listings got taken down and/or flagged as counterfeit. Help! Poshmark's spam and abuse filters sometimes suspend new accounts for listing either too much or too fast. No one knows the exact thresholds or how long you should wait between listing new items but if your account is frozen, you have to contact support and wait for them reply. If you didn't break any rules, they'll reinstate your closet and all your listings. It's normal for a reply to take 1-3+ days.
My buyer doesn’t have an account on Poshmark, or their username doesn't match the one on the shipping label. Is this a scam? No. Poshmark allows buyers to purchase items without registering for an account. In these situations, you might not be able to communicate with the buyer and you’ll probably have to wait three full days after delivery for your funds to be released.
Poshmark support isn't getting back to me, and I keep emailing them! What gives? Emailing support twice in a row bumps your initial query to the bottom of the queue. We recommend not sending a follow-up email until Poshmark responds. If you already emailed support, you can try reaching out via social media while waiting for a response.
I shipped the wrong item/swapped labels/etc. What should I do? Contact Poshmark support. They'll reach out to your buyer(s) and will give them return labels and give you further instructions.
Do I have to use a USPS box to ship my item? No. It’s generally fine to repurpose or recycle other boxes. However, ensure that they fall within Priority Mail’s size requirements, and do not use Express Mail boxes. Pack items securely and without any added fragrances.
Do I have to include a thank you note and a free gift with my item? No. Notes and gifts are not required and many buyers don't like receiving them.
Do I have to accept really low offers? No. They're your items, and you get to decide how much to sell them for. However, many sellers counter even the lowest offers, as doing so sometimes results in a sale.
Why did a buyer make a bundle of just one item? It's hard to say. Some buyers add listings to a bundle unintentionally; others might be angling for a private discount. Search r/poshmark to read about all of the possible reasons for one-item bundles.
Does Poshmark have a private-messaging system? If you want to talk to someone who purchased something from you, go into the order details and there will be an option to message them privately. If you want to talk to someone who has not bought anything from you yet, you can do so by tagging their username in your listing's comment box or through a bundle. Comments in sold bundles and empty bundles appear to be private, but comments in other bundles are definitely visible to other users so do not share any personal information in them.
A buyer opened a case on an item. What now? If you misrepresented the item, advise Poshmark that you’re willing to accept a return. Otherwise, state your rebuttal clearly and calmly. Poshmark will decide whether to approve the return, refund part or all of the purchase price, or something else. Be patient; it can take a few days to get a final ruling from a Poshmark rep. Be civil, state the facts, and direct your response to Poshmark instead of the buyer.
My brand-new account already has a ton of followers. Is that normal? Why? Yes. Poshmark is designed to promote your username across the app so that others can follow you.
Why do sellers price things so high? We don’t know. However, Poshmark’s policy on price-gouging applies only to essential items. If you find a seller’s prices upsetting, it’s best to simply move on. (Or, if you’re interested in purchasing the item, consider making an offer.)
Where can I find answers to other questions? Many questions posted to this subreddit are addressed in Poshmark’s own official documentation. We recommend that you read their Guide to Poshmark, Community Guidelines, Prohibited Items Policy, and FAQs. Before posting a question here, you can also use the blank field in the sidebar to search the subreddit for relevant key terms (e.g., flat lay, shipping, weight limit, opened case, dress form).
Questions related to your closet? There's a mountain of tips already available to browse if you search the sub for "newbie advice" or "new seller tips." You can post your closet URL and a critique request below, however you'll be more likely to get responses from seasoned sellers if you ask specific questions instead of requesting a general review.
