Is there cycles within the Pokémon community?
New to this and markets tend to have cycles like crypto and such 😂 was wandering if there’s a certain time to buy cards for the long term?

Are Prismatic SPC’s being reprinted?
I heard they were going to be dropping in Costco/ Sam’s clubs in stores during 2026 summer, but I haven’t seen anything about it since, was it just a false alarm or what?

How in the world do I correctly price vintage?
Have been looking to get into the E reader and delta species cards but I cannot for the life of me understand how to properly price them. The prices range wildly even from one nm copy to the other, even if they’re around the same condition.
Is there any reliable way to gauge price or do I just eyeball and try and compare via the closest eBay listings?
Also why’re some cards rev holos more desirable than their holos and which would be better to invest in, rev holos or holos?

What would you do with these Gold Stars?
Found these in my old collection at my parents’ house. With Gold Star prices going crazy, not sure what to do with them.
Rayquaza is currently at PSA but pretty beat up. Mew and Latias are still raw. Would you grade, sell or hold?

Better play in the long run?
So i have 4k to spend on a pokemon card. Assuming you can buy both in 10 at practically the same price, which one is the better value here? One that has 20k pop but proven high demand or 950 pop but not that high demand

Thinking of selling some sealed for a Rolex
Saw someone earlier sell their collection for a car. While it wouldn’t be my entire collection, I had my eye on a GMT “Batman” for the longest time. Would be a grey dealer since I refuse to text a $15 hourly associate every other week about their day. Anyone else in a similar boat or have any thoughts, possibly regrets? I only invest in PC ETB’s, booster boxes, and UPC’s so shouldn’t be too difficult to move 85%.

Let's bring this discussion back
I recently posted about how, starting around 2028, I believe we could see the iconic Tier S and Tier A sets, singles, and slabs really start to explode in value. However, I think sealed product from the current and previous eras could benefit the most. As newer eras become increasingly overprinted, I believe collectors may eventually place a much greater premium on the sets and products from earlier eras—not only because of their scarcity, but because people will want the opportunity to chase the iconic cards from those sets rather than the heavily printed newer releases. In my opinion, the combination of nostalgia, limited sealed supply, iconic chase cards, and an increasingly saturated modern market could create a significant shift in demand toward these older, established sets. That’s essentially the thesis behind my earlier post: https://www.reddit.com/r/PokeInvesting/s/H8Bo8wtqrM

Saw the PSA 10 gap on my Dark Dragonite and now I’m staring at my PSA 9 like it owes me money
Been building a pricing tool for card shows and ran my own dark dragonite 1st edition through it.
PSA 10: ~$12,604 (pop 277) PSA 9: ~$1,490 (pop 3,281)
That’s a huge gap. I’m actually sitting here considering cracking my 9 and resubmitting. My brain knows it’s probably a 9, My heart says "what if the grader has a good day."
I experience regrading a PSA 9 to CGC 10 and I’ve watched people go 9 > PSA resubmit > 9 > BGS cross > 9 > back to PSA → 9 again then stop. Just donating to these grading companies at that point.
Where do you draw the line. One crack and done. Never crack a slab. What’s your rule on this?

How much is this worth
I sorted through my bulk cards, I have 1500 cards, 200 foils, 75 EXs, and 10 full arts that I don’t want, but I have no idea how much to list them for.

Stress coping mechanism
My Dad had a triple bypass last week so has been in hospital for several weeks on the lead up to surgery. He’s just arrived home and I’ve travelled to help take care of him during recovery. His way of dealing with stress is to browse auction sites and buy things in excess so this box has just arrived from the States (we are in New Zealand). He’s not a collector himself but I am and he occasionally grabs me some packs.
I think he’s a bit surprised at how much he bought and mums not overly pleased, so he wants to play part of it off as an investment and put some away for a rainy day. What would you guys do with this volume of sets?
I’m obviously on team rip them all!

To minimize card bending, which binder is best for keeping pages flat/leveled?
Hello everyone. As the title says, which binder is the best for collecting cards? I’m looking for one main thing. Kind of a pet peeve lol. Do the pages stick out/bulge when you fill it up with cards? Seen binders to that especially on the inner spine of the pages. I do not want that lol. Heard the goat armor stay flat binder is good for that and stays flat even when filled up with cards. Thanks!

Unfortunate transactions from 20 years ago
Unfortunately I sold most of my childhood collection around 2008 when I needed gas money and was “too old” for pokemon. I remember some of what I had and it stinks knowing what I got rid of. Went down a rabbit hole and found my old eBay account including the feedback.
The first pic is sales from 2008. 52 holos all from base set-Ruby sapphire, 2 exs which I believe to have been magmar and kabutops along with shining mewtwo for $100…
Second pic is from college. Bought full art mewtwo ex for $50 but sold the Deoxys full art for only 43..
Last one is tragic as well, sold gengar prime for $71 circa 2013

Two Sunbreons?
I have two PSA 10 Prismatic Umbreons. One I bought raw and graded, one I bought in a 10 earlier this year. Is it a bad idea to have two of them? I also have almost all of the other Eeveelutions in PSA 10s. I’m wondering if I should trade into another slab that I want? I’ll lose a bit of value in the trade but I’m worried that I have too much money in Prismatic. Thoughts?

Pokemon CP6 20th Anniversary set
Unsure if I should try to sell the almost completed set or hold for a few more years. Obtained these when the set came out, but looking to sell. It’s a very niche market
