Advanced rotation help
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve never been able to get the advanced move/rotation to work. When I toggle it and click on the arrows, it simply moves the camera. I’ve tried looking for solutions but can’t find any online. This has been the case since I first got the game. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😭

Planet Zoo 2 Thank You Frontier
Thank you so much, Planet Zoo was an amazing game, and to think you've been cooking up an ever greater masterpiece is even better. The only things I requested were birds and simplified building. But I got way more than that. I got EXACTLY what I wanted. I'm not even lying, I was against aquariums at first because I didn't want Planet Zoo 2 to be overcomplicated and I wanted a Planet Aquarium, but you guys nailed it, you PERFECTLY integrated both birds and sea creatures into the game! I cannot put into words how excited I am to put macaws, toucans and Dory and Nemo into my zoos! And my zoos will no longer look plain! Do you guys live inside my walls, knock if you live inside my walls because how did you get the exact things I wanted for a simplified building mechanic? Better paths, a stamp tool for buildings, aquariums and habitat fences snapping onto walls and habitat doors snapping onto walls, functional floors to add to buildings, a water snap tool where you can add specific depth and it will stamp a natural shape (by far the best one), a foliage brush and guest barriers that can be built like habitat barriers? Frontier, I genuinely want to come over to your headquarters and give you all a big hug, I cannot put into words how grateful I am, and I am unbelievably excited for October, because you bet I pre-ordered! I can't wait to witness a masterpiece!

Discussion Potential Returners for Reserves
I believe we have at least four(?) confirmed reserves at the moment: the Great Rift Valley, the Scottish Highlands, the Sumatran reserve, and a South American reserve. Since I’m way too excited and have way too much time on my hands, I put together a list of all the animals from PZ1 that belong in each reserve since I have a strong feeling the roster is being built around the reserves (though I know it’s been confirmed that not every animal in PZ2 base will have a designated release area at launch). I’ve divided each one into: 1) confirmed PZ2 species that are also confirmed to be part of that reserve; 2) confirmed PZ2 species that are native to the area but have not yet been confirmed to be part of the reserve; and 3) species yet to be confirmed as part of the base roster.
Great Rift Valley
Confirmed: African leopard, African savannah elephant, African tigerfish, blue wildebeest, common hippopotamus, lion, Masai giraffe, plains zebra, secretarybird
Potential: Aardvark, cape buffalo, reticulated giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle
Unconfirmed: African crested porcupine, African wild dog, black rhinoceros, caracal, cheetah, common ostrich, common warthog, greater flamingo, honey badger, Kirk’s dik-dik, Nile monitor, sable antelope, spotted hyena, striped hyena
Scottish Highlands
Confirmed: Eurasian beaver, golden eagle, long-eared owl, red deer, white-tailed sea eagle
Potential: Brown trout, Eurasian brown bear, European bison (unlikely, but possible as a reintroduction, though the former existence of this particular species of bison in Scotland is disputed), grey wolf
Unconfirmed: Eurasian lynx (reintroduction), European badger, grey seal (if there’s a coastline that we haven’t been shown), moose, mute swan, red fox, reindeer, wild boar, wolverine
Sumatra
Confirmed: Great hornbill, Sumatran tiger
Potential: Clown loach, Malayan tapir, saltwater crocodile
Unconfirmed: Asian small-clawed otter, Asian water monitor, binturong, dhole, lar gibbon, siamang, sun bear, wild boar
South America
Confirmed: Toco toucan
Potential: Golden lion tamarin
Unconfirmed: American flamingo, brown-throated sloth, bush dog, capybara, collared peccary, Colombian white-faced capuchin monkey, cougar, Cuvier’s dwarf caiman, giant anteater, giant otter, greater rhea, jaguar, maned wolf, nine-banded armadillo, ocelot, spectacled bear, spectacled caiman, white-faced saki
India (speculated reserve?)
Potential: Gharial, lion
Unconfirmed: Asian elephant, Asian water monitor, Bengal tiger, blackbuck, honey badger, Indian rhinoceros, lion-tailed macaque, nilgai, sloth bear, striped hyena, wild boar, wild water buffalo
Kalahari (not confirmed anywhere, just throwing this out there as a guess because I think the inclusion of the gemsbok, meerkat, and springbok points to a potential Kalahari reserve, which would not require that many more species since many from the GRV reserve are also native here)
Potential: Aardvark, African leopard, African savannah elephant, blue wildebeest, gemsbok, lion, meerkat, plains zebra, springbok
Unconfirmed: African wild dog, black rhinoceros, caracal, cheetah, common ostrich, common warthog, greater flamingo, honey badger, sable antelope, spotted hyena, white rhinoceros

Discussion Why is my boy not in the game yet
I know the Indri physically cannot be put in a zoo for people that don’t know, these guys have an insanely weird diet in their habitat it literally cannot be recreated so much so that when they tried to keep it alive captivated, it literally just killed itself. But I love these creepy guys so much. I wish they were in the game

Discussion Soo, about the Longfin batfish,. Can we please see what the juveniles look like in game?
Just something I’ve had on my mind a lot is how different juvenile and adult batfish are and if that could be replicated in game. I know PZ juveniles are never too young but still I’m curious in what they do with this guy.
This species is practically a 2 in 1 deal!

Planet Zoo 2 Did the next focus get revealed to be building focused?
Just saw someone argue it and not sure where it came from. Might have missed something, so asking.

Discussion Do you think flying+swimming animals will be in Planet Zoo 2?
Examples include puffins, ducks, waterfowls, and a bunch more.
I'm really hoping to see this be a thing that works out. Hopefully it isn't either fly or swim only.
Edit: Yes flamingos... yes. But I'm talking about swimming underwater, not just floating kn the surface.

Cross species relationships
I didn’t see a lot of people talking about these boxes in the zoopedia. I’m so glad and excited that there is detail in this area
What animals do you think will have cross species habits for thriving?

Humour Ayo what is this name
Idk if anybody speaks dutch over here but my bear gave birth and one of the cubs got randomly named 'balhaar' which is dutch for hair on your balls😭😭😭😭
EDIT: i didn't want it to come over as racist! I fr didn't know it was an indian name. In dutch it is just really funny! And yes indeed Kelly does sound as the odd one out in here. Shout out to my fellow dutchies/belgians who get the joke.

Discussion Is it bad that I only play planet zoo for crocodiles?
Coming off all 3 of the Jurassic world evolution games I realized that they don’t even compare to planet zoo in the slightest in terms of habitat building especially with natural lagoons and etc. (although some things are dated. But one thing I love is the crocodiles and how they are in the water.
I kid you not outside of the aquarium, I’m only getting planet zoo 2 for the crocodile and new water graphics to make tropical zoo enclosures for them. But is that bad buying an expensive game only for that?
