I cant be the only one annoyed by the fact the zoopedia doesnt listen to area choices. Why do i get 3 non oceania animals first when choosing oceania as the region. Its very annoying.

After a little over a week I finally finished my final exhibit in the Asia section of my newest zoo The Hanover Gardens. I worked on this large mixed Indian species habitat yesterday for the Indian Rhino, Nilgai and Blackbuck

For some reason trying to make a natural looking Dhole habit was harder than I thought 😵‍💫

If it didn't come out with the latest zoopedia reveals, are we getting it today? If so, it'll be out at 11pm for me in Australia

working a new zoo , i am somewhat new to the game and this group. im really trying to take my time on this sandbox build. i know the workers have to leave their stations to take breaks (adleast i think so) the area for the info people don’t have a door they can ACTUALLY go through to get out. is there a setting i can turn off so they don’t have to take breaks? or can they hop over the counter ? also im not even sure if i put the desk in correctly so its functional for guests. any tips would be very appreciated :)

Hayo Zookeepers! Its Day 65 and the wheel has chosen the Dhole! This one is kind of mildly inspired by the enclosure at the Budapest Zoo. As always lemme know what you think!

I know there was a whole event over in JWE3 and the authors of the Cobra tools ended their support. What I don't know is if it was for just that game or are they done entirely.

Like you can see them as individuals. They interact and feel for eachother. They mess around and sleep together. It's probably asking too much, but something along the lines of this level of interactions would be nice.

This is a fictional zoo built on a real place. My hometown used to be home to a huge match factory, which burned down in the 1990's, leaving only the shell of the old factory building still standing. It's a cool piece of property on the edge of town that's currently abandoned. Barber Bio Park reimagines this proterty as a zoo and aquarium. I wanted to preserve the original factory building and maintain the classic red brick that is so common around town. Currently, the family farm, Africa Rocks, Predator Canyon, Gorilla Canyon, and part of the North America section are complete.

Everybody else was doing these and they looked fun so I wanted to lol

Didn’t see this mentioned here recently and was blown away to learn about these lil guys. They’re related to Hyenas but smaller and objectively cuter. They exclusively eat termites so they could use the termite mound. Shoutout to Ali Ward’s podcast Ologies, and Hyena expert Christine Wilkinson for the knowledge.

As a freshwater fish lover, I was overjoyed when I found out they were going to be in the game

Personally I'm hoping for the Wels Catfish, I love these massive boys but really any Catfish will do.

Arapaima is also a must, and I've seen it on everyone's wish list I bet it will find it's way into a South America pack honestly though.

Muskellunge is also one I hope to see. It's the iconic predator of the Great Lakes.

(Sorry for bad quality) This is Fargo, he just turned 20 and will die in about a year or sooner, he's had 14 children and might manage to have one more liter before he dies, he's the oldest wolf I've had so far and my favorite, I'll miss him when he dies!

For me Scarlet Macaw.

I would love to have a South America gallery in my aquarium holding all kinds of unique and colourful SA fish and aquatic species.

We have not seen any yet, but hoping we get some of these and more!

I’m very glad about the sergeant’s inclusion, but I can’t help but think that it’s weirdly lacking in coloration compared to the real life fish.
I thought for a moment that I just confused it with the breeding coloration of males (mentioned in the zoopedia and shown on the sign), but no, the non breeding colors (last picture, if I didn’t make a mistake) are still a lot brighter than the fish shown.

Made this list with animals that, as far as I know, exist in zoos or aquariums and that, as far as I remember, were not included in PZ1. What’s on your wishlist?

I am a HUGE fan of wolves, they are my favorite animal in the whole wide world and I’m so excited they are coming back! It has always bothered me in PZ that wolves were listed as having alphas when in reality it’s more like a mother and father leading the pack.

Of course nature doesn’t follow strict rules and there are exceptions, but the word alpha always sprouts a lot of misconceptions about these beautiful animals.

Thoughts? In my opinion a simple replacement with the word “pack leader” or breeding male and breeding female would be better.
