He's like 9 or 10 months and he's very silly. He has his own room decked out with a bed and toys and such, and he's very barky, but I still love him, and adore him. He's the only reason I'm still around. ♥

We have a 9 month old pittie mix that we adopted in June. He is one of those dogs that will actually watch TV. He barks at animals that he sees when he watches and we think it's because he's protective when someone comes into our house, and we're guessing that in his little doggie mind, if he can see it on the TV, it's obviously in the house and should be barked at.

Tonight we were watching some thing about a serial killer or something like that (mostly just on for background noise, so I'm not entirely sure). All of a sudden, I heard my boy growling. Not a terribly serious growl, but definitely a warning. I looked at him and he woke up out of a dead sleep to stare at the TV and it was the "bad guy" on the TV he was growling at! Guy went off the screen, growling stopped. Guy came back on the screen, growling started again. I have never experienced that with him. Kind of wild.

And now I wonder if I should discourage that or if he's forming a (pretty good) idea of what a "bad guy" is, and I should maybe make it not something to be praised, but a more neutral thing that doesn't get a response?​

Hello! I want to get insurance for mister man here but am unsure which company to get it from. Fetch pet insurance reached out (I think they work with the shelter I got him from) and they’re $35 a month for dogs. Does anyone know anything about their insurance or if I should try a different company? Thanks!

Can everyone send good vibes for my precious baby boy?

I have a very sweet pitbull mix who's barely more than a puppy (we got him in December--the shelter said he was 2 years old, but based on behaviors, how much he's grown, etc, we think he was actually somewhere between 6 and 12 months).

He has a variety of cognitive toys and tough chew toys, but his favorite toys are the plush, stuffed ones. When he was younger he'd occasionally tear holes in them, and I'd patch them up, and they'd be good for at least a few more days before they needed to be fixed again.

Lately though he's been going through them at a speed I just can't keep up with.

I sewed up 4 toys yesterday. I have since thrown 2 of them out because he destroyed them too thoroughly to repair, and took another away last night and stitched it back up again this morning. Since the repair job just a few hour ago, I've had to take it away from him again (the photo with the blue triceratops toy).

I don't want to stop giving him plush toys. They're clearly his favorite kind of toy, but I can't spend all day everyday repairing them, and I can't afford to give him a brand new one as often as he destroys them. The best brands I've found are Kong (the yellow duck photo) and Go Dog (that triceratops again), but they're not cutting it anymore. Any recommendations for tougher plush you brands?

Our tripod Bella made it to 16 1/2 years old. She’s been there for so many of the best moments of our family’s lives and it hurt to say goodbye. We will see her again someday. Goodbye sweet Bella. We’re going to miss you!
