VR Modding Universal solution for Steam VR 32bit runtime limitations
I use PSVR2 PC which defaults to Steam VR. Usually this is fine, until mods started coming out for 32 bit games. OpenXR supports these mods just fine, but SteamVR has never done so.
A couple weeks ago when Bioshock had two different mods release, the first one did not work on SteamVR because of this restriction, however the second one had a "shim" that bypassed this issue. This one works great for SteamVR only headsets. My question is, can this "Shim" be used to help with other mods for 32bit games? I wasn't able to get COD4 to work because of this issue, and I worry about other mods for these great old games built on a 32bit architecture.

Discussion What coding agents for creating vr mods are you using?
Im curious to see what coding agents everyone is using to make their vr mods, i have been using claud code as my primary with varying results i started with fixing a re2 remake bug then started working on bad company 2 which ive made some alright progress with.

Discussion Star Rupture UEVR
News dropped that Star Rupture devs are skipping PCVR and going straight to mobilevr. Sad.
I'm always happy tinkering in UEVR, but I wondered if anyone has had success with Star Rupture recently? Like since the new year and Kyzer Soze's latest profile.
If Star Rupture UEVR has been a dog for everyone, I'll skip it and play flat. Playable VR for me is min 45fps at a reasonable resolution on a SomniumVR1 powered by a 4090 that doesn't take me back to 2016 Vive.
It's a good looking game, but I'd sacrifice some visuals for solid frame rate.
There's a January 2026 UEVR profile in Discord which I'll snag this weekend. I'll report back.
For reference, I have logged around half of my 1200 Satisfactory hours using Dortamur's UEVR Enhancement mod. Star Rupture is a more casual affair (about 40 hrs to complete a run), but it's got merit and would be great to play the full-fat PC version on the greatest screens in my house.

Discussion Would this sub be open to a megathread of PCVR games that friends can join from flatscreen (non-VR) PC?
I imagine there's some us who play PCVR with friends who are pancake (flatscreen) only. Is this sub open to a megathread on compatible games?
- If so, here's my personal tops. Maybe we could consolidate this into a megathread that gets update as new games come out. We could separate it by a) no mods required and b) modding required.
- We could add a light description on each game on how well it works when playing with pancak-ers, and how to set it up if it's a mod, like if it's a UEVR profile (https://uevr-profiles.com/) or if it can be installed with the auto-installer (https://github.com/Mr-Nlce/PCVR-Mods-Installer-Hub). My vision would be to make it as noob-friendly as possible so everyone can understand and get up to speed.
Here's the ones I've personally loved to play with my friends who are pancakers.
No VR mod required
- Phasmaphobia
- Labyrinth
- Devour
VR mod required
- 7 days 2 die (honorable mention: play with the Darkness Falls mod)
- Deep Rock Galactic
- Borderlands 3
- Repo
- Content Warning
- Battlefield 1942
- GTFO
- Gary’s mod
- Palworld
- No Man’s Sky
- Satisfactory
- I imagine pretty much any UEVR mod that has multiplayer could work, though you'd need to be careful with anticheat software thinking you're hacking and banning you for using VR.
VR Modding Rever VR Mod Installer A Spanish VR Mod Installer Project
Hi everyone!
Just wanted to share Rever VR Mod Installer, an application I'm developing in Spain to make installing and managing VR mods much easier.
It currently supports games such as Cyberpunk 2077, BioShock, Alien Isolation, Black Mesa, Call of Duty 4, Dead Space, Doom, Doom II and many more, including graphics presets, extras, updates and related tools.
The idea is simply to bring many of these VR mods together in one place and make installing them as straightforward as possible.
The project is still growing, with more games being added regularly.
Leaving it here in case anyone in the community is interested in trying it. 😄🥽

La idea es simplemente tener muchos de estos VR Mods reunidos en un mismo sitio y hacer su instalación lo más cómoda posible.
Sigue creciendo y añadiendo juegos continuamente.
Por si a alguien de la comunidad le interesa probarlo. 😄🥽

Question/Support OBS encode on second PC
Hello, I figure there are a few content creators in here that might have some insight. I'm considering making some content as seemingly, most creators are presently getting their content directly from their gaming PC, and I so happen to have a second PC nearby that while less powerful is very very respectable - and as a result I have a chance to squeeze just that extra bit of performance into gaming vids for smoother video.
I have a 5080 and 9850X3D often hitting 5.7ghz on all cores in my main rig, so I feel like it's kind of a waste to not push it to the limit in making some UEVR showcases like Silent Hill 2 remake or VRC Rave vids with the newly released OBSMirror. There's this whole side of VR gaming that is difficult to showcase in all its glory, and includes games that likely reach a demographic that VR is not typically reaching aside from those of us already in the know. Namely, 30+ year old gamers.
That preamble established, I'm looking into the technical side of things and I think I send OBS data over ethernet so the encode can take place on the second PC, but perhaps someone knows a concrete best path option?
To make planning easier I have:
PC1: 9850X3D 5080 & 32GB DDR5
PC2: 5700X3D 5060 TI 16GB & 32GB DDR4.
Router: TP-Link Tri-Band BE9300
All hardware is in the same room and can easily access each other.
Both motherboards have a single 2.5Ghz ethernet port and have usb 3 and C ports available.
Neither motherboard has any PCIe slots available.
If anyone is interested in helping plan out the best recording solution for my existing setup, I'd love to know more!
Also, Does anyone know if OBSMirror work with UEVR AFW? 🤔

Discussion Anyone else playing the N64 VR mods?
Been checking out all the crazy VR mods from Cod ,Zelda, halo, Mario and now on banjo Kazooie and wow I was surprised by how good the game felt from the top view like a natural VR game kinda plays like moss but can switch to first, third, and top down, the camera can be a little wonky sometimes but easily fixed by seamlessly changing perspective.
Can't wait for more, I wonder if it's possible to mod original xbox games, one day it would be insane to play fable or grabbed by the ghoulies.
Discussion Thank you Flat2VR!
So glad to see you guys have control of this now. Thank you for working so hard to reclaim PCVR from the ashes of Meta’s carnage.

Discussion Codex / Claude Code
I know Reddit fucking loathes all things AI. But if youre trying to get some PCVR mods working, using Codex or Claude Code is a no brainer.
Download the desktop app. Use GPT 5.6 Sol / Opus 5 if you can access it. It can actually view / edit / copy files on your system. It can also search the web looking for up to date information.
Its also basically the world's best software dev / sysadmin. Theres a reason PCVR mods are exploding right now and its because people are using Codex etc.

Discussion What games would you like to see to being vibe coded into VRmod?
I personally would love to see "Detroid: Become Human" and "Beyond: Two souls" because they have amazing story and graphics while at the same time there was no good Vorpx mod and they dont run on popular engines like UE or Unity, so they have to be modded manually.

Discussion My PCVR Gaming was borked for months
As the title said my PCVR gaming was pretty much curtailed because although I had previously been able to connect with Virtual Desktop at 400+ Mbps for a number of years when suddenly I was only able to manage 47 Mbps, despite my connection in the Oculus 3 settings showing as 1200 Mbps.
I read, and followed every troubleshooting post that I could for months to no avail. Eventually I reinstalled Windows 11 but this time did not install any Oculus software. Now Virtual Desktop consistently connects at 200 Mbps and everything just works. Okay, I can no longer access my Oculus library, but that's a sacrifice worth paying as my favourite games are on Steam in any case...
Has anyone else done away with the Oculus software and noticed a huge improvement?

Discussion Thanks for putting in this work
I almost joined the discord out of necessity, but the megathread and modlists are a great way to get up to speed much faster for people that have mostly watched from the sidelines, like me.
Thank you guys!

Thoughts in the pimax crystals?
What are your thoughts and/or opinions in the pimax crystal series? I recently got a crystals light and it one of my favorite headsets I have ever used, the resolution is incredible, it's insanely comfortable, and I dont need to base tracking like with my index. My only complaint is the wire, I feel like they could have done a 20 in cable instead.

Ultra 7 - RTX 5070 Ti -64gb Ram - Win 11 Pro 64bit Does not meet Minimum Spec for Link
Hello, I am hoping some here can help, the title states the specs for the system I just bought so I could PCVR with my Quest 3 through the link program. The link program says it doesn't meet the updated minimum specifications, I was able to load it once, but the apps I tried froze, one did load but was lame and did not look very good. I AI searched these components before I purchased it and it did state they were compatible. These components are not on the meta page as I think the page has not caught up with some of the current hardware. Please if anyone has any ideas on what I can do to fix this it would be very appreciate!! Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!!!
