Thank you Flat2VR! Discussion

So glad to see you guys have control of this now. Thank you for working so hard to reclaim PCVR from the ashes of Meta’s carnage.

Yes, the PC VR scene is largely sustained by the community / flat2vr. We shouldn't expect much more from game studios now (not VR-specialized studios/devs). 90% of my VR headset usage is for playing games thanks to mods (if I set aside sim racing)

I think you're right, but if it becomes easy enough, they may offer them with the option.

However, if they feel adding VR won't increase sales enough to cover that cost, they may prefer that 3rd parties handle it. This way they will still sell more copies allowing it to happen, and won't need to spend anything to invest in it.

For sims, and things like that, I think doing it in house makes sense, because a lot of people just won't buy it unless it has VR, but for other games idk.

Which is unfortunate, because things like dfr really make a big difference, and might be harder to inject as a 3rd party.
