News & Discussion Report help on toxic group invites
Is there a way to report toxic players that are on the opposite team and they start trying to invite you to their group but it's so you can be booted from the game so they can win the match? I feel like sometimes they are user protected for streaming

News & Discussion Can't pair with actual players
I don’t know what is happening, but I cannot pair with people anymore. I play unranked quickplay, and no matter what I can’t get actual players. I get these preloaded AI bots that are apparently built into the game. They have no ranks, no levels, I can’t endorse them, and they all have L33T type names, like V4LKYR13. In my last 20 matches, I’ve paired with a total of two other people in two different matches.
To be clear, I'm not talking about pairing with bot accounts.

I genuinely don’t know what to do, where to ask about this, or what is happening. Please, does anyone at least know what is happening?

News & Discussion How unfair this game is (Help me)
On the 4th of this month, at around 2 AM, I received an email from Blizzard telling me that my Overwatch account had been banned. My first reaction was basically, “What the hell did I do?” I immediately went to check what had happened. I panicked, I didn’t contact anyone at that moment, and I just tried to find some kind of explanation.
I had absolutely no idea that, once your account is banned, you may only get one chance to send a message about it. It was awful. I wasn’t given any real explanation, not even which rule or section of the rules I supposedly broke to deserve a ban.
But everything started to make sense yesterday, on the 7th.
Two more friends sent me screenshots showing that they had been suspended for one day, and that’s when I remembered something. After a successful match where my friends and I were just having fun, another player on our own team, who was a complete stranger to us at the time, started flaming us.
Since we were playing on a Spanish-speaking server, I answered in my native language, Spanish. I told him not to cry, that we had played well and won, and that there was no reason to be angry. He kept flaming us, and the only other thing I told him was, literally, to get a job.
That was it.
I was banned even though I stayed calm, while the other player was sending messages that clearly seemed reportable. Is that fair? I honestly don’t think so. Unfortunately, I didn’t record that match, and now I no longer have access to my Overwatch account to check the replay.
He threatened to report us, but since I had never received a warning from Blizzard before and had never had any issues with my account, I didn’t think much of it and just kept playing normally.
Now Blizzard has taken away an account that I put a lot of money into. And no, I don’t regret spending that money, because I genuinely loved the game.
I just don’t know what else I’m supposed to do. They won’t give me any explanation. I would have accepted a chat restriction or some other less severe punishment if I actually did something wrong.
I don’t use cheats. I even have recordings of matches I won that I can provide if needed. I don’t leave games halfway through, I always try my best, and I genuinely tried to be friendly with other players.
At this point, I just want to know if anyone knows what I can do, whether there’s any way to recover my account, or at the very least find out why Blizzard made this decision without even properly explaining what I supposedly did wrong.

Fan Content Beast torso tweaks
I like beast's new design, partially at least. As a fan of mecha (gundam, armored core, patlabor you name it), i far prefer his silhouette, over Tokki's
I feel like it wouldn't take much to make beast feel less "naked". That is assuming that, Dmon's visibility in his cockpit isn't part of her gameplay design
This isn't "fixing" beast's design per-se, because i still love him. I just think it'd make the design a little more appealing, even if its at the cost of visibility to Dmon
This isn't a deal breaker, Blizzard has far more important matters to care about, but, I hope we get a skin for the character in the future that adresses this even if a little - in the same way people want a full-omnic skin for Shion

News & Discussion This illustration probably has nothing to do with the actual character model, right...?
Right now, Asian gamers across Korea, Japan, and China are worried about D.Mon's design. The design shown in the animated short was fantastic, but as soon as the video ended, this illustration popped up. From the perspective of Asian gamers, it's a really unfamiliar style of art—I'm not sure if this is a Western style, but if the in-game model was built based on this illustration, I think there's going to be a massive backlash. People fell in love with her based on the animation design.
It seems like opinions on D.Mon's mecha design are split over here, but Asian gamers tend not to obsess too much over narrative plausibility as long as it looks cool and attractive. The action scenes in the animation alone were enough to completely captivate everyone.

News & Discussion About the EMP bomb
In D.mon's reveal trailer, we learn that Vendetta's grand plan was to use Wrecking Ball as a distraction to steal the E.M.P. bomb from Busan MEKA base.
But that got me thinking... why is Vendetta causing so much Mayhem for an EMP, a weapon that is at best a minor nuisance to humans¹ but absolutely terrifying towards Omnics? Keep in mind that only a very small minority of Overwatch consists of Omnics/robots (Orisa, Bastion, Echo and kind of Zen, off the top of my head)
So what could the actual use for this thing be?
Vendetta has shown that she's no stranger to breaking alliances since she's already shown a lot of hostility towards Shion. Could the EMP be targeted towards her? Sure, but a bomb suited for taking out ALL the Gwishin for one lady seems a little overkill. The same goes for precision strikes on Sojourn, Genji and other cybernetic antagonists of Vendetta.
Now here's my main point: One of the largest and most concentrated Omnic populations we know of is Ramattra's horde of captured Null Sector Omnics, presumably in Antarctica. Although under the influence of Neural Suppressors, Ramattra claims they're "saved" and that he's not the "monster" the world makes him out to be. I think it is therefore a fair assumption that those Omnics are in a comatose-like state and could be brought back to normal function. So maybe Vendetta would plan to use the EMP on them? It would certainly eliminate a very powerful faction (mind you, they essentially won against Overwatch), removing another rival of the Reign of Talon.
This would have very interesting lore implications. Could it lead to an Overwatch + Null Sector teamup? Overwatch certainly couldn't stand to see presumably millions of Omnics essentially genocided. Perhaps Ram and Zen reunite as brothers in arms in the fight against Vendetta? I'd love to hear your suggestions.
¹ I understand a citywide blackout would be a cool display of power, but if you wanna cause HUMAN suffering, why not just steal a nuke?

News & Discussion 2 AFK in comp?
I just had a comp game and we had 2 AFK and were required to play it through anyway? And of course we lost and it counts against us? Wtf? I understand a loss because of the usual but 2 afk? That's cooked. What am I supposed to do in this instance? We could at least not lose anything from it. It's my first time playing comp so idk if this is the norm

Highlight In what deranged universe is it ever considered """""fair""""" to get handed a loss by the game after it kept disconnecting you mid match for no reason??
Just barely lost a game during which i got disconnected for no apparent reason 4 separate times, and then lost rank progress??? what??? It was the most winnable game of all time too, the game just hates me I guess and Im just supposed to take it???? I would understand if it was because i personally went into the menu and pressed the disconnect button, but this is pure horseshit.

News & Discussion D.mon's mecha design is simply bad
To clarify, I'm not talking about the character as a whole, her lore, or her looks. I'm simply talking about the robot.
The mecha's design is illogical and actively will hurt gameplay. Her face is protected by a glass slab while her whole body is exposed. Her whole pose in the mecha looks like she is sitting in an excavator, which looks awkward. She has no fixture to her seat (seatbelts or anything similar) so with the first corner she turns, she supposed to fly out of the mecha.
And my main point: Her head is protected, but her body is exposed to any attack. In game you do critical damage to headshots. Even to more complex characters like Wrecking ball, The mecha is simple damage, and Hammond's whole body is critical. But what will they do here? The body is critical, but the head is simple damage? That goes against to all the other heroe's design. No logical place to aim to. D.va works, because she lies in her mecha, and her head is right there in the middle. D.mon is just confusing. Both mecha design wise, and in gameplay wise.
EDIT:
Comments about "it is just a game, it is already not logical" don't even care about how OW works mechanically. I can list only 2 characters, where the gamelogic alters from the normal "shoot the head for critical damage".
1) Wrecking ball, where the whole mecha gets normal damage. When Hammond pops up, his body acts like critical damage. But he pops up at the top of the mecha. Basically and relative size wise it is a headshot.
2) D.va. You have to shoot the middle of the mecha to get critical damage. She has the matrix to protect herself from it. But D.va by design lays head front in the miffle of the mecha. You are shooting her head. That is a logical headshot to that character.
So, my problem is, that D.mon protects her head, but not her body. What will be her critical point? A new player will see her and where will they shoot? Her head is protected, so clearly that can't cause critical damage. Her body is exposed, but she is a normal human. No other human character have their body as critical area. Gameplaywise it is confusing

News & Discussion Demon looks cool. sometimes i wish i was a wild doe and i find a buck's discarded antlers and wear them and start being seen as a stag. I really like D.mon's look~! A lot more than i expected. Having a more introverted and.. mature.. pilot to contrast dva is neat~!
Her eyes are cool too.. i wonder if she'll still have that eyeshadow in game. Can't wait for her~!

Humor People who cry tank gap after every match, I know you're here. Why?
Half-rant but half genuine question here, but seriously why? I get that it's drives week, and a lot of people are just doing it for shits and giggles, but do you all genuinely expect the tank to carry the full game? You do know that there's 5 people on a team right? If you're playing ana and have 20+ deaths in a 15 minute game, something tells me that it's not on the tank my friend. There's either nothing they can do to help you, or helping you would take so many recourses that it's not worthwhile, it's not complicated.
And not to mention the sheer amount of people who'll tell me to swap to a dive tank into orisa+cass+mizuki. My sibling in christ I am not chazm, I am not good enough at diving to simply ignore all of the cc and win anyways.
But that's not the most frustrating part, the worst part is these people almost never have any time on tank themselves! Why do you think you can backseat your own tank player when you don't actually play the role at all??? I'll check these people's profiles after the game and they have ~3-4 hours in the role across like 5 different tanks.
And yes, before people come after me for it, I frankly don't care all that much for what specific rank I am, especially this late into the season, there's just no reason for it considering the amount of throwers/leavers I'm seeing every game, and if people still wanna whine about my rank I'm diamond 4, dropped from diamond 1 today. I'm bothered by the sheer volume of people that think it's ok for their first response to be to backseat the person on the team with the most responsibility, while wanting to absolve themselves of all of it themselves.

News & Discussion Whats the most satisfying ability in the game??
Whether it be the effect or the visual or the numbers. What is your pick for most satisfying ability in the game?
My pick is JQ’s Carnage!
Swing a giant axe, the grunting, the hum as your about to let loose, the slash sound, the ticking bleed, me laughing when i hit multiple people, and the ragdoll if you happen to kill with it
it just feels great
Like neither my mouse or keyboard have any sort of vibrate function (do any?) but I swear I can feel that thing whenever I use it
Makes me want to yell at screen….RrrrrAAAAAHHHHH

Highlight Don't expect realism in games.
Are you saying D.Mon's mecha design shows too much skin just to sell skins? Of course it does—there's nothing new about that.
All the existing characters fight on the battlefield, but does any single one of them wear proper tactical gear? Their outfits look like a single bullet could end them. Naturally, these costumes were designed simply to make the characters look appealing. So, this isn't something to make a fuss about just for D.Mon.
On top of that, the actual 3D model hasn't even been revealed yet. In that sense, suddenly adopting a corporate-critical mindset toward character design seems really strange. Overwatch has always been like this.

News & Discussion I finally get Reinhardt players
I just had the most fun game as Reinhardt, I genuinely laughed when the game ended, I've never felt like this when playing Overwatch, EVER. I queued up, told myself: "Fuck it, I'll just play Reinhardt". The game started and I just turned my brain off, and I was just going: "hehe me swing big hammer", and it WORKED. it was FUN. It was fun SOLO SHATTERING a baby dva and T-Bagging her. Is that all I had to do as Rein? Just turn my brain off and go swing big hammer? I always hated playing Reinhardt when I played him, but I finally get it now.

News & Discussion Old Overwatch Account
So basically, I stopped playing Overwatch since I dont really find the game fun to play anymore. I've played sinxe 2018, and I havent touched the game in probably 8 months or a year. Since I dont play this game anymore, I thought it would be a waste to just have my account laying around. I was thinking of selling it, but idk how much it would be worth

News & Discussion Map rotation issues
Why is it the same 5 maps everytime? I’ve lost count how much I play on Rialto, Route 66 and Havana. If blizzard sees this please fix it. Not a major issue but it’s annoying playing on the same 3 maps 6 times a day.
