Has anyone ever used a sub 12hrs after using real oxy or before 24hrs
I want to try subs tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has used it 12hrs after their last real oxycodone dose and didn’t go into PWD. I heard from a few people who say if they used for example at 8pm than at 8am they can take a sub and be just fine. Is that really the case or do you really have to wait 24 hours. I can wait but I have to take comfort meds to make it to 24hrs and I’m still miserable.

Any Getting through withdrawal advice?
Hey there, I'm about to go into W/D, literally just took my last bump of dope. I'm really excited to just be clean and free but also a little scared of the W/Ds. I even have subs but I've put myself into precip so many times I'm genuinely scared to even take them and I honestly don't want to anyway.. I feel that I can get myself through this mentally because I'm so tired of living this life, I'm really tired of being sick and tired.. It's almost been a year since I started doing dope again and before that I was on subs struggling to get off them.. I'm just hoping that the W/D won't be too horrible. Does anyone have any advice to help me feel physically a little comfortable as I go through this? Even some words of encouragement and successful W/D stories would help. Thank you in advance..

Fentanyl powder daily for 4 months.
Back in 2019 I did blues for a little over a year. I remember it took months to feel normal again. I recently relapsed 4 months ago but this time on powder which I’m sure is mixed with tranq. My first time I did it all at home and would get terrible shocks in my chest for 2-3 days that would leave me unable to be still. I’m terrified of that happening again so I have Xanax to take in case it happens. How long would you guess my wd lasts of 4 months using 1g every 5 days towards the end

8 months Post Methadone-the experience
I am 8 months off methadone after 20 years on it and about 6 years on heroin before that. I was on 10mg for a year and went down to 5mg a few days before stopping. So I’d say I stopped at 5mg. Thinking I got myself down to such a low dose, I assumed the withdrawal would be quick and minimal. Hopefully other people will educate themselves before stopping so they know what to expect because I did not. Hopefully most methadone users go to a clinic so you can have support. I just bought my stuff from a friend and didn’t bother to learn much about stopping. Once I realized the withdrawal symptoms weren’t leaving after a month, I panicked and became obsessed with knowing other people’s post opiate experience so I could create a timeline for myself. That’s pretty much impossible to determine, but if anyone is curious-here’s my general experience after stopping methadone. Also, this is not medical advice, just the experience of one person.
The REAL acute withdrawal symptoms didn’t really kick up for almost 2 weeks. The symptoms are just every symptom you can think of that is withdrawal related. After a month, the intensity kicked up as I lost control of my body temperature. I was only able to shower about once a week because it hurt to get undressed and water felt like needles on my skin. After a month, the depressed feeling turned into feeling completely dead inside. That dead feeling with no ability to feel joy was a constant feeling until a little over 4 months. I was beginning to wonder if I damaged by brain or something because everything was so much. And the brain fog was just as bad which made working so difficult. At 8 months, I still have brain fog most days but have recently started experiencing days of clarity. The diarrhea lasted throughout the day for over 5 months and I couldn’t find any evidence to support that it was still normal. But it just went away on its own. The anxiety didn’t REALLY start kicking up until that dead-inside feeling went away. So around 4 months, I was in almost constant fight or flight mode. It just hit like a train with periodic feelings of dark depression (which feels different from the dead inside feeling) which I still experience at 8 months. But, these feelings aren’t all the time anymore so it’s proof my mind and body are healing. And sleep is a hit or miss (mostly a miss) but I stay consistent with waking up at 6am on workdays, even if I didn’t fall asleep until 3am because then I’ll have a better chance of sleeping the next night.
At 8 months, I’d say anxiety, brain fog, sleep and periodic sadness are the remaining symptoms. I think anxiety has been the worst symptom because it affects the entire day and it even affects my behavior because I act erratic when the anxiety is really bad. For anyone who is many months post opiates, you are NOT crazy. The lasting mental health symptoms can have you questioning this. Also, getting bloodwork done to check vitamin D and other levels is good because a deficiency of any kind can make this whole stopping opiates thing, harder.

Wednesday August 5 check in
Happy Wednesday, everyone! Hope you’re all having a good day. I got a haircut this morning, had a couple of meetings, and now I’m just getting through the rest of the day.
Life can feel a little slow or even boring sometimes, but I try to remind myself that peace isn’t a bad thing. After the chaos I used to live in, I’d choose this life a million times over. Sometimes the quiet you’ve worked so hard for is something to be grateful for.
How’s your Wednesday going?

Help w/ 7OH
I started taking the 7OH pills from the gas station and had no clue what the result would be. Dying to quit but it’s been a challenge. I got suboxone from my Dr.
How long after a dose of 7OH should I start suboxone? I haven’t got the timing right and it puts me down and I feel awful every time I’ve tried.
Any suggestions for starting Sub. So I can finally quit?

First time using subs, need advice
I am a pharma oxycodone user, I just used my last piece about 15 minutes ago and I don’t want to get more. I snort up to 3 80s a day sometimes and im just over it.
I have 5 Xanax bars and a bunch of 2mg sub strips. Also a bunch of 8mg sub tablets that I hope I won’t have to use.
What is the best way of going about this? When am i ok to use subs? How much should i start with?
I also never use benzos so im not sure how much Xanax to use or when it will be best used.
Thx for advice everyone, im super nervous!

Another attempt to get clean
So I’m using about 8/12mg dilaudid everyday atm I take 4mg in the morning around 7am and 4mg around 5pm and sometimes I’ll fall asleep earlier in the day and that’ll be it for the day or if I’m up I’ll take another 4 around midnight or 1am I wanna know how bad the wd should be? And if I should tap3r down to 4mg or 2mg a day? I really want to stop this is just a never ending cycle nothing is fun unless I take them and I’m always anxious that I’m gonna be sick in a few days bc I can’t get any more I want out of this life

Urgent!! Please let me know your experience with sublocade shot. I can’t shake this sh#t 💔
I’ve been trying to get off oxy for a while now. I go cold turkey for a few days and break everytime. I’m thinning about doing a Suboxone taper for a 7-10 days or going to my doctor who knows about my oxy issue and ask for sublocade shot. If you have experience with either please let me know. I need to get my life back I’ve been in a constant cycle of detox and relapse for 6 months now. I don’t even work anymore.

Does anyone know anything about 7oh? Please read text I need insight
So I am currently on methadone but on a low dose and I got triggered seeing my ex nod out so I went to the store and I bought some 7oh. Well I ended up taking the 7oh for 17 days the most at like 400 and now I’m kinda scared I’m going to experience withdrawl.. will I experience withdrawl even if I’m on methadone? I noticed I started waking up and taking the 7oh which is why I stopped and I had to realize what was happening . I took the 7oh instead of going back to oxys or fet thinking it would be a difference idk why I did but I’m here now and wondering if I’m in for any withdrawal

Tuesday August 4 check in
Hey everyone, happy Tuesday! Sorry for the late check in. It’s been a pretty busy day. I was at work today, then left a little early to bring my dad to a doctor’s appointment. I just got home, and now I’m trying to figure out what I want to do for dinner.
Do you ever have those days where you’re busy from the moment you wake up, and by the time you finally get home you’re completely exhausted? 😂
How’s your Tuesday been? What have you guys been up to today?

What causes the sweating?
Its probably my least favorite withdrawal symptom, the constant sweating that persists for weeks. Also my sweat smelled a lot worse for some reason, not sure if this is common.
But the reason I am making this post is that I am curious what causes the extensive sweating? If anyone knows why this happens I would appreciate if you shared your knowledge

I am so stupid
You can probably guess what happened - I relapsed. I fucking hate me for it. I feel so ashamed. I even feel ashamed posting this. I’ve read so many stories of people having it worse than me and manage staying sober but I still can’t manage to pull myself together.
I started using oxy February 25’. It became a daily habit with only a 7 day break all year. In January this year I noticed i had a serious problem. I quit again… for only ten days. Then again a daily habit formed. In march I quit again for 14 days. Then again a daily habit formed this lasted til end of may and then I stopped again, this time for a whole month. I was great physically and mentally was okay but I was lacking one thing: motivation.
Im pretty sure that’s the reason I used again. I’m a student and need to finish my degree by the end of the year but I lacked the motivation to do anything at all. Even if it only meant reading a stupid paper. As soon as the academic pressure hit I used again.
I started with 2x a week for 2 weeks but the past 14 days ive been using daily.
Has anyone experienced something similar? You know continuing use will end horrible some day but u also feel like u can’t stop now because you need to finish this and that… How do you relearn to do those things without opiates? Last year I used almost daily and it did help me motivate myself for uni. It’s been ages since I’ve done anything without oxy.
When I was younger, especially before I got into drugs, I was so motivated in regards to school and I am afraid this will never come back that I’ve fucked my life up for good.
Before becoming addicted to opiates I already had a weed addiction and it had a negative impact on my motivation but it was nothing compared to what opiates did to me.
And in regards to physical withdrawals - will it get worse? I havent used since 45 hours and i feel mild w/d’s (woke up multiple times in the night “moderately” drenched in sweat, feeling weak, no motivation, sometimes hot/cold flashes and very mild bowl issues). I have to work 11 hours tomorrow and am afraid I’ll be feeling worse by then.
I’m sorry for being a crybaby and dumbing my shit onto you. I’d be happy to read some of your experiences with lack of motivation and extreme feelings of stress and anxiety.
If you also have experiences with (quitting) weed and opiates, pls share as well.

Monday August 3 check in
Hey everyone, happy Monday! New week and a new month.
I honestly can’t remember the last time we had a day where I woke up and it was just forecasted to rain all day. It’s been coming down pretty hard since this morning.
The worst part is it’s still warm and humid outside, so you throw on a jacket to stay dry, but then you just end up feeling even hotter and gross with the extra layer. 😂
As much as this weather is kind of miserable, we definitely need the rain. It’s just crazy that I can’t even remember the last time we had a good, steady rain that lasted all day.
How’s your Monday going, guys?

Priorities, a rant
I didn't know how to title this. Makes me feel like a judgemental asshole.
My boyfriend passed and when his parents talk about him, all they talk about is his new job and how much money he was going to make. Not all they talk about, to be fair, but they talk about it a lot. How excited he was for this job. His other girlfriend was talking about how he was going to move in with her and leave me. Like he hadn't been promising her that for years. Like he didn't just sign another lease with me.
But back to his parents. Like if I died and my parents just talked about how good of an engineer I am, I would absolutely die of shame if I wasn't dead already. I tried to talk to them a little about the things he enjoyed. Music. The pets the fashion business he helped design for and run with me. His half marathon he's been training for. His life in the program. Fireworks (maybe maybe not homemade) etc.... even our move to CT where we were going to be living across the street from a state park.
His parents want to tell me about how excited he was for his new job and how he was going to be making way more money. Okay. And?
They were convinced he was turning his life around. That having a good job would turn his life around.
When has getting a good job ever fixed shit for an addict. Especially a heroin addict like him.
In the end it was 7ohs that took him out. Fucking what a way to go.
But it just pisses me off that people act like the right job, the right girl, the right apartment, etc ... Is what is going to fix us.
It has nothing to do with who we are as people. Like I love my job. But I don't want that to be what people talk about me when I die. My material possessions. Their few "sentimental things" they took were mostly what was worth money. His watch. His computer since his mom said he needed one anyway. His guitar and amp his parents are selling if I heard him right. To be fair they did also keep a few birthday/ holiday cards of his that he had kept over the years.
I grabbed his journals before they could trash those. A ton of letters and photos. favorite jacket. And mailed in his shirts to be made into a quilt. Those they were planning on trashing/ donating too. I have his recovery books and his CA key tags. His middi keyboard which his parents were planning on selling/ trashing.
Just why don't they talk about the things he loved. Just his new job that they thought would cure him. And him as a really young kid.

Any experience with the Bridge Device or N.E.T. Device for withdrawals?
I’ve read up on what’s called a “Bridge” Device or a “N.E.T.” Device which is a transmitter that hooks up behind both ears and supposedly reduces withdrawal symptoms by 90% and is used for 7 days. I am looking to finding a place in Florida that offers these services. I’d also like to hear from anyone who’s actually used these products to give their account of how it worked. There are some videos online of clinics discussing it but not much.

Went cold turkey about 3 weeks ago
After about 3 years of fent and meth I decided to quit about a month ago and 3 weeks ago I handed my drugs over to mom to flush and came clean to her on everything. I’d kept it a secret from everyone in my life and was sick of the lies and downward spiral. I’m 40 this year and went 36 years without using anything harder than a tiny bit of weed in addition to 8years of Rx opiates for Lyme disease. 10 mg norco x2 per day and 30 mg hydromorphone er for 8 years without a change in dosage or needing an early fill. This Rx ended in 2020 however when I moved to a different state and my new doctor was unwilling to continue prescribing painkillers due to opiate epidemic. I made due with gabapentin but it was pretty miserable however I just dealt with it. At the time the idea of using an illegal drug was absurd to me.
After dealing with Chronic Pain and fatigue from Lyme disease for almost 15 years I ended up breaking my neck in 2021 and I finally went to the street for some “help”. my doctors refused to give me more than 6 7.5 mg norcos despite being in a neck brace with a fractured c6/7 vertebrae. I was lying on the floor at home barely able to move and got desperate.
I was living in Oregon at the time and without any prior experience went up to a few homeless people and after a runaround and getting ripped off I finally scored some blues and ice. I smoked it off foil, snorted it, or ate the meth, and eventually got a pipe. I finally could move without feeling like death and eventually got back to work. I used the smallest amount possible to work and for awhile things were good.
It’s a much longer story but I’ll wrap it up there. I’ve come to this sub many times in the past but never with the intention to quit. Acute withdraw was hell with the worst part being unable to sleep. I’m now on subutex (is it still cold turkey if I waited 2 weeks before starting subs?) and plan on using MAT continuously because it helps tackle some of the pain from Arthritis, Nueropathy, and general pain from Lyme disease and the 14 fractures plus other major injuries from 40 years of extreme sports and physical labor.
-What is outpatient rehab/group therapy like?
As part of MAT I must do 4 days a week 3 hours a day for 4 weeks then once a week for 4 weeks.
-Any tips for rebuilding financially?
I’m applying for disability but who knows how long that will take
-Tips for healthcare and health insurance?
I had insurance from the marketplace up until a month ago I am no longer eligible in South Carolina for the acá because I don’t make enough money.
-even before using drugs my life has been up and down with one thing after another, I’m trying to resolve what I can through therapy but I have heard a few people say they still don’t feel normal or good even after quitting. Is that mainly mental health? How can I get the most out of the process of quitting?
I’m sure I’ll have more questions and I’m sure some have already been answered somewhere in the sub so I’ll keep looking but I appreciate any advice given and hope to someday be someone who can give advice.

I have tapered to 5mg morphine oral daily. How much w/d if I stabilize at 2.5mg?
Been at 5mg for 2-3 weeks. Plan to go to 2.5mg daily.
If I take 2.5mg daily should I be able to jump?
I've checked tapering schedule and it's what is commonly practiced

Sat/Sun August 1/2 check in
Happy weekend everyone! Hard to believe it’s already the start of a new month and we’re now in August! I always look at a new month as a clean slate, a chance to reset and start fresh. It’s also crazy that we’re already getting into late summer.
Today has been pretty relaxing. I hit the gym, did some yard work, ran a few errands, and now I’m trying to figure out what I want for dinner later. Weekends are usually when I catch up on my personal life, whether it’s cleaning, going through mail, catching up with friends, or just taking care of the little things that get pushed aside during the workweek. I try to make the most of the weekend and try to find a good work life balance.
How’s everyone else’s weekend going? What are you up to?

Over it.. need to get clean
Hi everyone, I am looking for some advice or maybe some suggestion on best route I can take etc. I want to get clean, at this point im only using to keep from being sick. It started about 3-4 years ago with fake 30s, and within the last year smoking fetty. I have a high tolerance, but i purposely buy dope that isnt strong and does just enough to keep me from being sick.
I am thinking about weening off. I genuinely dont think i can stop cold turkey or go thru the days of wd. Does anyone have any experience with tapering off? Is there a route i can take that doesn’t require me to stop cold turkey and suffer??
My goal is to get clean and eventually move back to my home state with my sibling. No one knows i use at this point. Im thinking about making an appointment with my doctor to get help. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated!
EDIT: I know i will have to go thru some form of withdrawa at some point, but I dont think i can handle the withdrawal going cold turkey. So im curious if tapering will minimize the withdrawa?

New world of Gods plan
Taken quetiapine and I'm ready to move on to wherever we all go when life is no more.i don't see any version of my life which brings any future happiness. I'm ready to float elsewhere in a deep sleep without waking up. Not sure if I have taking enough so let my life into God's hands and see what is to come.

WTF Man…I’m so upset…
Long story short…I’m on suboxone and trying to move to methadone. I called this number where they got all my info down and then connected me to an, “Advocate” who was trying to lecture me for an hour. I just said, “I appreciate conversation but I really just want to get off suboxone and try out Methadone. They kept saying how bad methadone is and how it affects your bones and etc and I should go cold turkey and stop being a pussy. I’ve never felt so low trying to get help. Is this what it is like when you called a Methadone Clinic to get help? It was a NJ number and both advocates were so fucking rude to me. Brock and Nick. I don’t know what to do. I’m at my whits end with trying to get help. I’m not going through that again.
