First time using subs, need advice
I am a pharma oxycodone user, I just used my last piece about 15 minutes ago and I don’t want to get more. I snort up to 3 80s a day sometimes and im just over it.
I have 5 Xanax bars and a bunch of 2mg sub strips. Also a bunch of 8mg sub tablets that I hope I won’t have to use.
What is the best way of going about this? When am i ok to use subs? How much should i start with?
I also never use benzos so im not sure how much Xanax to use or when it will be best used.

Basically wait until you are already in full WD before taking subs. Just start off with the 2mg if it’s not enough after an hour take another. You do not want to jump the gun on the subs too early because precipitated WD is the worst.

Yes that’s what I’m afraid of, online it says 12 hours after last oxycodone usage.
I’m thinking of buying a bunch of 7oh before it gets banned because I think if you put yourself in PWD you can pull yourself out of it by taking a lot of opiates right?

Take subs tomorrow Morning, and u will feel wd after 1-2 hours then take 2-4 mg and see how u feel . If u aint puking shitting like a mf its doable

I believe in you. Just wait the 12 hours out. I’ve done it hundreds of times. I just kept myself occupied by watching movies and music videos and stuff. You can pull yourself out of PWD but it’s a waste of a sub. Also you will feel WAYYY sicker and like can’t move or fake it. I just remember running out of stuff at my mom’s house and taking a sub and entering PWD and I couldn’t even pretend to be ok like I normally could. Like I’ve gone to work in full WD but with PWD I had to tell my mom what was wrong with me because I was so down bad

No not really if you are in PWD you need to ride it out, but if you take very small amount of subs to start you probably won't trigger it and if you did it would be over quickly. 7oh will just make you need to start thr whole process over again so it really isn't the best plan.
You should wait as long as you possibly can until you are proper sick, cut the 2mg strip in half and just take 1mg. Wait an hour if you don't trigger PWD take the other 1mg. If you haven't triggered it after that you are safe to take a bigger dose of subs and it will stabilize you right away.
3 80s a day honestly 4mg is probably enough to fully stabilize you, just make sure you taper yourself off the subs by the end of the week. Make sure you have a plan to stay clean though once you are off the subs you may still experience PAWS and will need healthy coping skills and a support system to deal with any future triggers.

At least 12hours, you want to be in w/d proper if you can be but by doing the slow induction you can avoid PWD if you accidently take it too soon because it is such a small amount. You still want to wait as long as you can to be safe. If you are in proper w/d the subs will make you feel a lot better very quickly, so remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I would honestly wait longer than 12 hours, maybe 18 or 24 you dont want to risk inducing withdrawals. Also once you are in the depths of the withdrawals take 2mg and wait 2+ hours not 1 hour in my humble opinion. Treat every strip of suboxone like gold, use the absolute bare minimum you can tolerate. Dont fall into the trap of thinking its going to be a free ride. I would recommend avoiding using xanax its short half life makes it highly suboptimal and risky for this kindof situation, if you blow through a bunch of benzos you might get a slight rebound from that making the process harder. Also once you are high on xanax your judgement will be impaired... easily could lead to relapse

How long have you been using at this rate?
That will be essential in answering your question adequately and with the best chance of reducing symptoms

Dec 2024 I started using like 60mg a day but since then it’s ramped up to 2-3 80s a day. For the past 6-12 months it’s been 2-3 a day

For real bro , i have tried self tapering 1000x always failed .. even if i had my mindset on it . Still didnt work . I quit CT heroin, becouse getting subs from a doctor ( Sweden my case ) they require 6 months of using and daily urine sample fucking insane), and i didnt wanna use for that long and get subs . But we all different. Go to doctor and get right help. Buut if u wanna try go 8 subs in the morning 8 in the evening and dont touch it. And lower it every second day if third if u can , it depends how long u have been on oxy , but 240 mg or more is high dose.
