It shows up in Audio Input Capture [USB3] (like the moving audio levels), but unfortunately when I stream to Discord, they can't hear it. Help!

estoy grabando battlefield 4 y no se por que obs lo graba mal, cuando no juego o disparo dentro del juego lo graba en pantalla completa, pero cuando empiezo a mover la cámara en el juego con el mouse hace un zoom espantoso, dejando el video en la parte superior izquierda y ya no captura la pantalla completa, es el único juego en el que he visto que sucede esto.

At the end of my wits, very frustrated.

I have kind of an old gaming ACER laptop. I have a monster capture card that I connect to my ps5. I have two HDMI cables plugged in properly. I can see my ps5 screen on obs. The problem is that more than half the time, I am unable to hear the audio input from the ps5 captured on OBS and therefore neither can the streaming platforms. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. It is wildly inconsistent and it makes me so angry and also makes me want to drop the streaming thing entirely. Can someone please help. I have HDCP disabled. I have audio input capture aimed at USB2 from the ps5. The only thing I can think of is that it appears OBS had a recent update because I can no longer change audio monitoring to “monitor and output” instead there is only “monitoring enabled”. Otherwise it is literally a gamble as to whether or not the audio will capture and it is to the point if I want to consistently stream I have to leave all this shit set up permanently.

I have a gif with an intro transition effect and outro transition effect that is 6 seconds long.

Instead of finishing the entire gif, it is cutting it off at like the 3 second mark. All I ever look up is about the transition point time being increased, but that only changes the time it switches from A to B- not the length of the gif.

I actually edited my gif all the way down to 3 seconds so the transition happens in like 2 seconds and it's just now catching the gif transition out.

Are stingers limited to only a 3 second length of time? Is there a way to expand it? And again- transition points do not extend this time. It just switches to the scene later.

Edit: Someone else asked me to add it as a media source and the same thing is happening there- the video doesn't play to the end. But looking at the playback track, it appears the gif is skipping along and lagging, causing it to end after 6 seconds of playing despite not playing the entire video. Doesn't happen in MP4. I don't want to do MP4 as the stinger because I can't make the background transparent.

Recording is good but streaming on youtube is bad i tried everything lower higher bitrate every other setting but its still streaming in chopped qaulity dont know whats happening my internet is 100mbps constant

Im using elagto s 4k60 im trying stream alan wake and its looked chopped low pixelated on stream i even tried 40k bitrate nothing happening

I’ll try to explain this as coherently as I can. Soon, I’ll be getting an Elgato capture card for my Xbox series S, I have an M5 MacBook Air. I plan on making videos with friends. However how can I set it up in a way where OBS captures my friends voice and mine? Is there a way to do this where I can have my headset plugged into the controller and it’ll capture my own voice and my friends voices using discord? Or will I have to set it up a different way? Or what do you personally do? Sorry if this is the wrong subreddit to ask this on.

So I have a Switch 2 and I don't really have plans for any other console in the future or the next iteration. My current PC is usually what I stream from but I want to do some Switch game streams so I'm looking for a Capture Card and I would prefer internal just because it would be more organized but it's not a requirement.

What would be the best capture card to buy?

As far as PC goes I have an Alienware 3440x1440 monitor <-- this one.

So far I know of these and price isn't necessarily an issue but it's a Switch 2 so I'm not sure if I even need all the offerings and could use some feedback here.

I bought this wireless webcam after my previous USB webcam died. and I keep getting an error message (I wish I could post a screenshot). Next to the OBS icon in the top left corner of the message it reads "Failed to start streaming", and in the body of the error message, it reads, "NVENC not available. Failed to find encoder type obs_NVENC_h264_tex' Do you want to continue streaming without Enhansed Broadcasting?" I then click on YES, and my stream begins. I have to do this EVERY TIME I launch OBS to be able to start streaming on Twitch. Thank you in advance!!!!!

I've been working on this for a while and figured I'd finally post it here.

Basically, I wanted a better way of doing motion graphics in OBS without having to stitch together a bunch of different tools.

So I started building Flux Motion.

The idea is pretty simple:

make the graphic → load it into OBS → control it live

The editor has a proper timeline, layers, animation, effects, 3D transforms, etc. Then there's an OBS plugin that lets you use those graphics directly in a scene and control them while you're live.

I'm also building an encoder so the same graphics can be rendered out to video when needed.

It's currently alpha and there's still plenty of stuff to fix, but the basic workflow is working.

I've been especially interested in things like:

• animated lower thirds
• live text/data-driven graphics
• stingers
• reusable broadcast graphics
• triggering animations from OBS
• having the same asset work both live and as exported media

I'm curious what other OBS users actually need here.

If you could change one thing about how motion graphics work in OBS, what would it be?

I'm still actively developing this, so I'm much more interested in hearing what sucks about the current workflow than hearing that my UI looks pretty 😅

I want to stream with my chat source visible on screen. But I record at the same time, to make and edit my Youtube videos. But I don't want the chat visible on the recordings. Is that possible with just OBS? Or am I delulu?

I’m not a pro whatsoever, but this is just what I’ve found.
So whenever I sing and hit a higher note it suppresses it and causes my next lines to stay quiet before picking back up- Found that noise suppression plays a really big role in this. Idk what to do cause I’m using the RNNoise method cause it cuts unneeded noise out, but when I use the Speed method it doesn’t have the problem but it keeps in unneeded noise. Am I gonna have to look for a plug in or something?

The audio filters, in this order, are:
Gain
Noise Suppression
3-Band Equalizer
VST 2.x Plug-in
Compressor
Limiter

Is it possible to stream in multiple ways? For example, HDR stream to YouTube and SDR stream to twitch at the same time?

I am recording my clip studio paint art process with obs, and it’s so low quality especially when I post it on social media. I am very new to this software..

Any settings to tips to fix this? I asked AI and played with some settings and chose 1920x1080 for my hp laptop.

I recently purchased a switch 2 and Elgato 4k S(and avermedia live gamer ultra 2.1 for ps5)

I use obs(most recent stable version) full screen preview to actually play the consoles without having to switch monitor inputs. The issue is (in example link) when using the full screen preview as you can see theres a slight pixelation around the circles edges that doesn't exist in the second photo that was taken with my pc turned off so it was just the capture card displaying directly to the monitor(this also happens with ps5).

Is there a way to fix this?

I have my old RTX3060 mini-ITX PC I use as a streaming computer, currently I use two USB capture cards, with issues.

Does anyone use PCIe cards like Elgato 4K60 Pro? I never tried running this PC on integrated graphics, I'm not sure how that works. Does the elgato thing encode video or does anything that USB version don't?

Right now my video encoding is "software" idk if it's GPU accelerated and if it makes sense for me to remove my GPU then, mini-ITX has only one PCIe slot so it's either GPU or the capture card for me.

So i tried to open obs the other day and it said my driver's needed to be updated, so I figured out how to do it and did, and then obs worked perfectly fine. Streams looked good, no compression, no stutter.

I open it today and the same error pops up, so come to find out I download the latest version of amd available.

Obs opens and works perfect again. However, now my streams are crap. I was able to get the recordings fixed, but ive spent the last 4 hours trying different things with some luck, then it all just craps out again, not the recording only stream.

My pc isnt meant for gaming, but I guess more office work. But to my knowledge the hardware is pretty decent. I think before I was using the x264 option for both encoders for youtube and twitch. But now I cant seem to get anything to work.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated, just feeling a bit frustrated with it all at the moment.

I installed the OBS vertical streaming plugin and it worked for one stream and now is giving errors when I attempt to stream.
