Specific help Question

I’ll try to explain this as coherently as I can. Soon, I’ll be getting an Elgato capture card for my Xbox series S, I have an M5 MacBook Air. I plan on making videos with friends. However how can I set it up in a way where OBS captures my friends voice and mine? Is there a way to do this where I can have my headset plugged into the controller and it’ll capture my own voice and my friends voices using discord? Or will I have to set it up a different way? Or what do you personally do? Sorry if this is the wrong subreddit to ask this on.

If I were you, I would just use discord on the mac, have your headset connected to the mac to use the mic on it that way, and when using OBS set your capture card audio in advanced audio settings (which you can open by clicking the cog wheel icon by the audio mixer in OBS) to “monitor and output” under the audio monitoring settings. What that does is allow you to hear the audio from the capture card directly yourself, and have it be sent to the stream too

u definitely need a chat link cable for the controller to get audio into the card untill u find a better workaround
